Entain India opens 2,000-seater GCC in Hyderabad
London Stock Exchange-listed Entain, which is one of the largest sports betting and gaming groups globally, has established a 2,000-seater global capability centre (GCC) in Hyderabad.
Set up through Entain India, the GCC will consolidate the technology development work that was happening from two offices. The new facility will provide employment for 3,400 high-skilled roles on a hybrid basis. It will and deliver over 85% of the Group's global software engineering and technology services, spanning product development, platform engineering, experience design and advanced analytics, the company said, announcing with the GCC opening rebranding of India operations from Ivy to Entain India. Besides Hyderabad, Entain India has an office in Pune where it employs 100 people.
Entain India team's contributions span platform architecture, AI-driven personalisation, real-time trading engines and high-scale consumer experiences across regulated markets.
'The rebranding along with the launch of our new Hyderabad campus reflects our evolution and positions us to better support Entain's global ambitions with deeper integration, stronger talent engagement and a future-ready innovation ecosystem, Entain India Managing Director Anthil Anbazhagan said.
On hiring plans, he said since 2001 when Entain India started operations the headcount is Hyderabad has risen to 3,400, including almost 800 people who were hired in 2024. Since hiring is connected to parent company's business expansion globally, it varies quarter to quarter, he said, adding there have been quarters where the Indian arm has onboarded 200 people.

Mysuru/Mandya: Nadaprabhu Kempegowda is the reason Bengaluru enjoys global recognition today, said agriculture minister and Mandya district minister N Cheluvarayaswamy. He was speaking at the inauguration of the 516th Kempegowda Jayanti celebrations held at Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar Kalamandira in Mandya. Defence forces seek more MSME participation from eastern region
1 2 3 Kolkata: Defence forces are keen to enrol more micro, small and medium enterprises from the eastern region, including Bengal, and have sought the support of leading chambers to work as a bridge with local MSMEs for defence manufacturing. At the BCC&I Atmanirbhar Bharat Award & Conclave in the city on Friday, defence officials appealed to the MSME sector to come forward. Arjun Kumar, additional director of directorate of technology development fund of DRDO, said the organisation was pushing new projects for developing indigenous capabilities. According to him, the number of projects from the eastern region was fewer compared to the south, especially Hyderabad. "There are a few companies from Assam and Bengal involved in the projects. There are 80 projects under the fund but only 4-5 from the east," Kumar added. British F-35B jet grounded at Thiruvananthapuram airport to be moved to maintenance facility
New Delhi, June 27 (UNI) With regard to the British F-35B stealth jet that is grounded at Thiruvananthapuram airport, the UK government said today the aircraft was diverted to Thiruvananthapuram International Airport on June 14, and that it has accepted an offer to move the aircraft to the Maintenance Repair and Overhaul facility at the airport. The aircraft will be moved to the hangar once UK engineering teams arrive with specialist equipment, thereby ensuring there is minimal disruption to scheduled maintenance of other aircraft, said a British High Commission spokesperson UK High Commission said: 'We are aware of significant speculation and interest in this matter. Any further statements will be shared through official channels.'The spokesperson said: 'A UK F-35B aircraft is awaiting repairs at the Thiruvananthapuram International Airport after developing an engineering issue. The UK has accepted an offer to move the aircraft to the Maintenance Repair and Overhaul facility at the airport. The aircraft will be moved to the hangar once UK engineering teams arrive with specialist equipment, thereby ensuring there is minimal disruption to scheduled maintenance of other aircraft. 'The aircraft will return to active service once repairs and safety checks have been completed. Ground teams continue to work closely with Indian authorities to ensure safety and security precautions are observed.
