$427.4mln in Ajman real estate transactions during January 2025
The Department of Land and Real Estate Regulation in Ajman announced the registration of 1,321 real estate transactions during January, with a total value of AED1.57 billion, while the trading volume amounted to AED1.26 billion out of a total of 1,044 real estate transactions.
According to statistics released by the department, the highest sales value was recorded in 'Al Zahia' area, with a value of AED50 million.
Eng. Omar bin Omair Al Muhairi, Director General of the Department of Land and Real Estate Regulation, said that the statistics for January reflect the positive performance of the real estate market, which recorded a growth in the volume of real estate transactions by more than 20% compared to the same period in 2024, which confirms the quality of the real estate sector in Ajman and heralds a promising future in light of the available investment components and opportunities across the various regions of the emirate.
He explained that last January witnessed 175 mortgage transactions with a total value of AED257.7 million, where the highest mortgage value was recorded at AED23.8 million in the 'Ajman Industrial 1' area, and 'Al Helio 2' neighborhood came at the top of the list of the most traded neighborhoods, followed by 'Al Yasmeen' and 'Al Zahia' respectively, while the 'Emirates City' project topped the list of the most traded main projects, ahead of both 'Ajman One' and 'City Towers' projects.

UAE Enforces Midday Break to Protect Outdoor Workers Starting June 15
The UAE's Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has confirmed the return of the annual Midday Break, banning outdoor work between 12:30 pm and 3:00 pm from 15 June to 15 September 2025. Now in its 21st year, the regulation aims to safeguard workers from heat-related health risks during peak summer temperatures. The Midday Break aligns with the UAE's commitment to international occupational safety standards and sustainable labour practices. It mandates employers to provide shaded rest areas, cooling equipment, drinking water, and first-aid supplies to workers during the restricted hours. 'This initiative reflects the UAE's deeply rooted social and humanitarian values,' said Mohsin Ali Al Nassi, Assistant Undersecretary for Inspection & Compliance at MoHRE. 'With over 99% compliance in recent years, the private sector continues to demonstrate strong awareness of worker welfare.' Dalal Alshehhi, Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Labour Protection, praised the private sector's efforts, noting that many companies now offer fully equipped rest facilities. 'The Midday Break is a model of cooperation between government, businesses, and the wider community,' she said. Certain essential or technically sensitive jobs—such as infrastructure repairs or tasks requiring uninterrupted execution—are exempt from the rule but still require permits and adherence to safety measures. To ensure compliance, MoHRE will carry out inspections and field visits while encouraging the public to report violations. Offenders face fines of AED5,000 per worker, up to AED50,000 for multiple breaches. The Midday Break continues to play a vital role in protecting the UAE's diverse workforce and promoting a safe, responsible work environment during the harsh summer months. RTA set to hold 79th online plate auction
Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is offering 350 distinctive plates consisting of three, four, and five-digit combinations for private vehicles, classic vehicles, and motorcycles in its latest online auction on May 26. The auction includes plates bearing codes H through Z, covering the following categories: H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, and Z. Registration for the auction opens on Monday, May 19, and will remain open for five days only. The auction will go live on Monday, May 26. All sales are subject to a 5 per cent Value Added Tax (VAT), and all participants must hold a valid traffic file in the Emirate of Dubai. To participate, bidders are required to submit a security cheque payable to RTA amounting AED5,000, along with a non-refundable participation fee of AED120. Payments can be made at the Customer Happiness Centres in Umm Ramool, Al Barsha, and Deira, or via credit card through the RTA website: The auction terms also require successful bidders to complete payment within 10 working days from the auction's closing date. Payments can be made at authorised service provider centres as follows: cash for amounts up to AED50,000, and certified cheque or credit card for amounts exceeding AED50,000. Transactions may also be completed at Customer Happiness Centres or via the RTA's website.
