With the national anthem just completed and the first pitch of Thursday's Mets matinee about 10 minutes away, David Stearns was indulging a phone call about a potential rotation logjam with Paul Blackburn already relegated to the bullpen and Frankie Montas and Sean Manaea progressing in their injury rehabs.
