Shoppers divided over Primark's new £25 summer top that 'goes with anything'
Personal stylist Lisa Talbot spotted the beautiful top in her local Primark store and shared the bargain with fans online - but not everyone is convinced by the 'tablecloth' item.
A newly-released Primark top has garnered praise from numerous shoppers online thanks to its ability to be effortlessly paired with multiple outfits. The high-street fashion brand is renowned for offering affordable, on-trend clothing and accessories.
TikTok user and personal stylist Lisa (@lisa. talbot) stumbled upon the top while browsing at her local store. The item, displayed on a rack, caught her attention, prompting her to "stop in [her] tracks" and film the bargain find.
She said: "It is the most beautiful fabric and the detailing is absolutely stunning. It is really pretty and very gentle."
The fashion expert also showcased the matching skirt, crafted from a similar material and boasting an identical flowing design with intricate floral patterns on the hem. Lisa suggested this would make "such a gorgeous outfit for the summer."
The complete set is available on Primark's website, with the top priced at £25 and the matching skirt also £25, sold separately, reports the Mirror.
According to Primark, the top exudes "summertime chic" with its "perfectly pretty V-neck crop" and "colourful embroidery" that pops against the crisp white fabric. The cotton and linen blend ensures the top feels 'light and breezy' in the summer.
However, not everyone shared the same enthusiasm, with some likening it to "looking like a tablecloth".
Someone else quipped: "My nan had one of those across her kitchen table!".
However, the £25 top still garnered an outpouring of admiration from fans, with one raving: "Love it so much. Boho embroidery is everywhere this season!"
Another said: "It's really so pretty and soft to the touch!" A third chimed in: "I'd absolutely love this with some jeans".
Lisa agreed, saying: "Will look super with shorts too for the summer!" The stylist further proposed: "Will suit a lady who loves boho, imagine at Glastonbury!".
A fifth person shared another styling suggestion, posting: "Cute with a white bodysuit under the top!"
As of late, Primark has earned a reputation as a hotspot for scoring fantastic summer steals without breaking the bank, with shoppers eager to share their budget-friendly fashion discoveries.

The influencer, 30, started up the warming process before going inside and preparing dinner, hoping it would reach her desired heat by the time she was finished. But, instead of enjoying a meal and preparing for the next day, she was subject to a "crazy, traumatising, near-death experience". She told her TikTok followers in a video that has now racked up 90,000 views that she turned on the sauna as she had done the night before, and was about to get her swimming costume on when she heard a "boom". Dominique explained: "I finish eating dinner and I'm about to put my swimmers on to go in the sauna, and I hear 'boom'. I look up and the entire sauna exploded." She added that the explosion was so powerful it ejected debris 10 to 15 metres into the air, and that she was left helpless while screaming for help. She said: "My phone was about to die, and I had no reception. I was screaming, 'Help, someone help me!' It was like a horror movie'. While she was eventually able to get hold of local authorities, they were unable to save the sauna. Dominique said the experience was the "most horrific thing", as she was just a few minutes from entering the sauna when it exploded and burned down. She said: "(It) burned to the ground. It was the most horrific thing to experience because I was only a few minutes from going into that sauna'. "I'm so grateful to be alive, so grateful to be here." Her shocked followers were quick to comment under her confession, with some likening the experience to a horror movie. One commenter said the events were "straight out of a Final Destination movie', and another added: "New fear unlocked." Another user chimed in saying they had never heard of anything like it, adding: "That is insane! This is the first time I've heard about a sauna exploding!!! They are so popular atm!" Other commenters were worried for their own safety, with saunas becoming increasingly trendy, especially in the wellness community. One follower said: "Noooo this is so scary, I just become obsessed with this trend."
