Kate Middleton extremely proud of Louis' sweet act to surprise Charlotte

Daily Mirror20-05-2025

Kate Middleton, Princess of Wales, asked for Prince Louis' support in a bid to surprise Princess Charlotte and, although Louis is often seen being playful and cheeky, he ws determined to help his mum
The Princess of Wales was reportedly very proud of little Prince Louis as he was able to keep a secret in order to surprise Princess Charlotte.
Princess Kate, 43, told her youngest child she had arranged a secret ballet performance for his sister at the Together At Christmas carol service last year. It has now emerged Louis, then aged just six, managed to keep it quiet from Charlotte to ensure his sibling was wowed on the night of the event.

The dancers were part of several acts to impress guests at Westminster Abbey, where the Princess of Wales hosts the function every year. In 2024, Kate asked Lady Gabriella Windsor, 45, for advice on what to include on the running order - after Lady Windsor lost her husband Thomas Kingston earlier that year.

But, just like 10-year-old Charlotte, Lady Windsor was unaware ballet dancers were to perform at the event. Lady Windsor, known fondly as Ella, said: "There were surprises for everyone, even the people involved."
Speaking to HELLO! Magazine, Lady Windsor continued: "It was a very special idea of hers to include ballet dancers at the concert – I didn't know that there would be children as well as adult dancers, all brightly and beautifully dressed as they danced through the abbey. It was a wonderful gathering of creative people, and it was extremely moving. I loved it and I was really touched to be asked. It was very kind of her."
And the publication details how Louis was tasked to keep shtum so Charlotte could be dazzled by the performers. The six-year-old boy, known for his cheeky moments at royal public appearances, was true to his word. The article in HELLO! reads: "Despite working closely with the Princess of Wales, not even Ella knew everything about the finer details of the big event before the actual night. Kate told Prince Louis that she had arranged a secret ballet performance for Princess Charlotte to enjoy, and was extremely proud that her son, then six, had managed to keep it quiet from his big sister until the evening of the event."
Lady Windsor, a huge music enthusiast, put forward names of artists for Princess Kate to consider. Two of these; Gregory Porter and Rosey Chan; were particularly impressive, Ella told the publication. She added: "Two of the school bands played Christmas classics to guests as they arrived at the Abbey which the guests loved. The students also really enjoyed it... As did Gregory Porter and Rosey Chan, who were some of the other artists I put forward. It was very positive all around."
The royal, who is the King's second cousin, recently became patron of the charity Restore The Music, which supports state school music departments in the UK.

Joss Stone's 'crazy' C-section update just days before she's due to give birth

Soul singer, Joss Stone, who adopted son, Bear, at the end of last year, is just days away from giving birth as she prepares to meet her fourth child Joss Stone has admitted she's in for a "crazy" day on Saturday as she gets ready to give birth. The soul singer, 38, from Dover, who adopted son, Bear, at the end of last year, is pregnant with her third child, who will be a little brother or sister for Violet, three, and Shackleton, two, who Joss shares with her partner and former US Marine, Cody DaLuz. Updating fans on baby number four, Joss reckoned she 'looks massive' as she revealed there had been a slight change of plan regarding her C-section. Showing off her baby bump, sporting a multi-coloured silk dress, she said: "Ok, bump update: I look massive today. This is a big belly. We are four days away pretty much. Baby is coming out on Saturday." ‌ ‌ Explaining that her daughter has a dance recital the same day, she continued: "So, I said to my doctor who came to the gig in Nashville: 'I'm so sorry but we've got to change the C-section date because baby girl has a dance recital' and he said 'don't worry. I'll just move it.' "So it moved from 10am to 4pm. So now Vi is going to dance around 1:10pm then I have to be at the hospital for about 2pm. "So, it's going to be a crazy day." The singer captioned the clip: "Happy mummy Mondays!! I am so excited. Not long now. Eeeeekkkk!!!" Just before Christmas, Joss - whose real name is Joscelyn Eve Stoker - revealed she was 'shocked' after discovering that she was pregnant again after the couple had recently become parents to Bear. The singer officially adopted their son when when he was just a month old and weighed just 4lbs 12oz - with Joss being advised to keep the tot indoors during the early months of his life because of premature lungs. ‌ In a video posted on Instagram, the Have Little Faith star was seen sitting in her car with Bear, explaining: "I am sat in the car with him because he is so little that he can't go out because he was so premature his lungs are a little bit vulnerable. I'm just here with little man hanging out." Joss told HELLO! magazine that her partner, Cody, was adopted, which made the couple keen to repeat the process in their own family. She said on social media: "The reason why Cody even exists is because his bio mum loved him enough to make an adoption plan for him and the same goes for Bear. ‌ "Honestly bio mothers do not get the gratitude they deserve. It is a more selfless love than I knew existed. Truly. We are just so happy to be part of this beautiful cycle." Just weeks later, Joss, found out that little Bear was about to become a big brother as she shared a snap of herself with a pregnancy test, saying: "Honestly. Shocked was an understatement. Nothing and no one can take our joy now. We are so chuffed !!!! Maybe we should call the 'Less is More' tour the preggo tour."
