Another torpedo hits Colin Jost, Pete Davidson's Staten Island Ferry project
Colin Jost and Pete Davidson's Staten Island Ferry dreams are so far underwater they apparently can't even pay their lawyers.
The 'Saturday Night Live' pair, along with their partner, comedy club owner Paul Italia, owe $13,500 to a downtown law firm, which filed a lawsuit this week to recoup the debt after years of waiting, court records showed.
The trio hired Nicoletti, Hornig Namazi Eckert & Sheehan to handle dockage and towing contracts when they bought the decommissioned John F. Kennedy at auction in March 2022 for $280,000.

They renamed the vessel the Titanic 2, and plan to convert it into a $34 million entertainment venue — but have been treading water ever since.

'There has been no reason given by Titanic 2/Mr. Italia for the non-payment,' Nicoletti attorney Val Wamser told The Post. 'We have received no response to our repeated efforts to obtain payment for the legal services rendered.'

The firm hasn't done any work for the trio since April 2022, Wamser said. The original bill was more than $27,000 but only partial payments have been made, according to the Manhattan Supreme Court legal papers.

Italia did not immediately respond to a message seeking comment.

Staten Island-bred Jost and Davidson 'were unaware of this as they don't handle the day to day business operations of the ferry,' a source told The Post.
The fate of the project has predictably turned into the butt of numerous jokes, as Jost recently admitted buying the seaside sensation was 'absolutely the dumbest and least thought-through purchase I've ever made in my life.'
In January Jost appeared on the 'Today Show' with actress wife Scarlett Johansson in a sketch debating whether they should sell the ferry for scrap, and last month, he made a rare appearance in an SNL sketch begging someone to take the maritime mess off his hands.

Las Vegas Strip casino extends pop superstar's sold-out residency
The Las Vegas Strip is known for hosting spectacular shows in the Sphere Las Vegas, as well as many of its casino theaters. Sphere Las Vegas opened on Sept. 29, 2023, with one of rock's most popular bands, U2, performing a 40-show residency which closed on March 2, 2024. The band currently holds the record for the most residency shows by a band at Sphere. Back in 2004, Ashlee Simpson appeared on "Saturday Night Live" to perform her songs "Pieces of Me" and "Autobiography," US Weekly remembered in a February story. She completed the first song without a problem, but when she began to sing the second song, "Autobiography," later in the show, prerecorded vocals of "Pieces of Me" began playing as the band was set to perform the second song. The mishap revealed that Simpson had lip-synched "Pieces of Me" and planned to lip-synch "Autobiography." But time heals wounds, and Simpson is back selling out shows in Vegas and booking more shows for her fans. Is Saturday Night Live New Tonight? Here's the June 14 Host and Musical Guest
Gather your goth kids and your suitcases because summer is here, and even the darkest souls among us deserve a vacation. Jack Black was among the lucky celebrities who got to host Saturday Night Live during Season 50 when he returned to Studio 8H on April 5, 2025. While his much anticipated return after 20 years gave us many great new sketches, only one captured the agony of joining your family on a sunny beach vacation when you curse the very existence of the sun and only wear combat boots: "Goth Kid on Vacation." Written by co-head writer Streeter Seidell, the Digital Short stars Michael Longfellow as the titular Goth Kid, and Black does his best My Chemical Romance tribute with a Reggae twist that makes it feel like MCR has always belonged on a Jamaican beach.
