Iraqi parliamentary bloc urges emergency Arab summit on Israeli violations

Shafaq News5 hours ago

Shafaq News/ Iraq must convene an emergency Arab League summit in response to Israel's violation of Iraqi airspace, Hussein Monis, leader of the Huqooq Parliamentary Bloc, urged on Monday.
'As the current chair of the Arab League, Iraq must act swiftly,' Monis told Shafaq News Agency, pressing for a high-level summit—either among foreign ministers or heads of state.
He called for a unified Arab response against the Israeli incursion, which he described as a 'blatant breach of sovereignty ' and a direct threat not only to Iraq but to regional neighbors, including Jordan.
His appeal comes as Iran and Israel have traded daily missile and drone strikes since June 13. Despite mounting international pressure for de-escalation, both sides continue to exchange fire across multiple fronts.

Iranian General Ebrahim Jabbari, Advisor to IRGC Chief, on Iran State TV: We Must Chop Off Trump's Hand, Slit Netanyahu's Throat, Annihilate Israel

General Ebrahim Jabbari, senior advisor to the IRGC commander-in-chief and former commander of Supreme Leader Khamenei's security unit, appeared on Channel 3 (Iran) on June 23, 2025. He suggested that the U.S. may have joined the conflict because Iran was on the verge of annihilating Israel. Jabbari stated that Iranians must 'chop off President Trump's hand' and 'slit Netanyahu's throat.' He also claimed that American military bases and warships in the region could be eliminated 'in the blink of an eye,' and that Israel itself must be annihilated. The program's host claimed that Iranian intelligence had intercepted internal Israeli communications indicating that, despite official reports stating there were no fatalities, over 500 Israelis were actually killed and 300 are missing following the previous day's Iranian attacks, in which several dozen were reportedly wounded. Jabbari confirmed the host's claim. Later, Jabbari alleged that Israel had failed to intercept even a single Iranian missile. The host concluded by asserting that the world acknowledges Iran is in the right and that Iran must build a nuclear bomb.

On June 19, six permanent and three alternate judges stepped down just hours before the court was set to issue rulings on two key cases: the suspension of public sector salaries in the Kurdistan Region and the contested Khor Abdullah maritime agreement with Kuwait.

White House: US strikes obliterated key Iranian nuclear sites

Shafaq News/ The White House asserted, on Monday, it has a 'high degree of confidence' that recent US airstrikes eliminated critical Iranian nuclear sites containing enriched uranium. Speaking to ABC's Good Morning America, Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt claimed the strikes 'completely and totally obliterated [the facilities] as the president [Donald Trump] said in his address to the nation on Saturday night.' She stressed that Trump would not have greenlit the mission without clear evidence of its effectiveness. Her remarks followed Sunday's US-Israeli strikes on three major Iranian nuclear sites—Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. Since June 13, Iran and Israel have launched near-daily missile and drone attacks. Despite growing international pressure to de-escalate, both sides continue to engage across multiple fronts.
