Kentucky baseball, coming off its first College World Series appearance, split its season-opening series against Lipscomb, but the Wildcats rattled off three straight wins against Belmont last week.
Despite their recent success, Nick Mingione's Wildcats (4-1) dropped out of the USA TODAY Sports Baseball Coaches Poll after previously being ranked 24th. UK was No. 26 this week in voting.
Senior Cole Hage is 7 for 14, including one home run, and has a 1.468 OPS.
Kentucky has outscored opponents 35-9.
Kentucky is scheduled to play its home opener at 4 p.m. Tuesday against Evansville at Kentucky Proud Park.
