Crowds scatter from Big League Dreams in Chino Hills after false reports of man armed with gun
Crowds of people scattered from Big League Dreams in Chino Hills on Monday after false reports of an active shooter in the area.
A massive contingent of law enforcement officers rushed to the park, located in the 16000 block of Fairfield Ranch Road, at around 7:45 p.m. after receiving reports of a man who was armed with a gun.
"So far, deputies have not located a crime scene, a suspect or any witnesses who actually saw the man with a gun," San Bernardino County deputies told CBS News Los Angeles.
They are still working to interview as many people as they can as their investigation continues.

According to witnesses who were at the field on Monday night, someone shouted "gun" after some loud noises were heard at the field. This was followed by widespread panic amongst the hundreds in attendance.
"There was a whole bunch of commotion, people running from everywhere. it was panic, nobody really knew what was going on," said Charlie Herd. "It was pandemonium. It was nuts. It was terrifying, very terrifying for all the kids that are here. this is going to be embedded in their memories for a very long time. It's a very sad and unfortunate event."
Herd said that he and his family were there for a baseball game.
"Not something at all we were expecting coming to a fun, family, baseball event, where it's just supposed to be a good time for everybody," he said.
Big League Dreams is a well-known complex of baseball stadiums, each of which is modeled after a Major League Baseball stadium. Some of the replica fields include Fenway Park, Wrigley Field and Ebbets Field. It was opened in 2003 and has since seen thousands of games and tournaments.

'We treated her like family and she betrayed all of us.' "Monica Sementilli betrayed the person who loved and trusted her most,' DA Hochman said in the news release. 'Her calculated scheme to profit from her husband's death cost a kind and talented man his life and devastated a family,' Hochman continued. Prosecutors said Monica concocted the plan to kill Fabio with Baker, a convicted sex offender and ex-porn-actor-turned-racquetball instructor, to potentially collect Fabio's $1.6 million life insurance money. During the trial, prosecutors alleged that Baker and his accomplice Christopher Austin, both wearing hoodies, jogged up to the couple's Woodland Hills home on Jan. 23, 2017, snuck onto the property and attacked Fabio while he was home alone in the backyard watching television. Fabio was attacked from behind and suffered seven stab wounds to the neck, chest and thigh. His femoral and carotid arteries were cut. After Fabio was murdered, Baker and Austin then ransacked the couple's bedroom. At the time, they stole Fabio's 2008 Porsche 911 and the DVR from the garage where the home security footage was stored. Austin, 39, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in January and was later sentenced to 16 years to life in prison in May, per CBS News. During his trial, he testified that Monica had purposefully left the door of their home unlocked the day of the murder and that Baker had told him she wanted Fabio "gone," per the Times. 'Everything he did he did after he got a text message, which told me he was talking to her via text message,' Austin said, according to the Times. Fairfield neighbors say new playground at Allen Witt Park keeps getting trashed
Neighbors in Fairfield say their brand-new playground looks more like a dumping ground after people have trashed the park with half-eaten food, empty bottles, party decor, soiled diapers and left behind garbage on multiple occasions. Sarah Cisneros The all-inclusive playground at Allen Witt Community Park just opened in early May, when CBS13 shared the community's excitement for the neighborhood's new addition. Sarah Cisneros, who lives just a few minutes from the park, was excited to take her four children there to play, until she says she started noticing others were not treating the new community amenity with any respect. "People have no shame, you know? And it's too bad. It's too bad," said Cisneros. Sarah Cisneros Cisneros sent CBS13 photos she took at the playground over the weekend, which show tables left behind with remnants of a party, uneaten food and trash. The trash cans in the playground were also pictured overflowing, with the flower garden behind also littered with garbage just feet from the playset. Cisneros says it was an unsafe environment for children to play in. "There's alcohol bottles fully open sitting right there. That's unacceptable," said Cisneros. She and her husband reported the incident to the city and they say they believe a city team came out the next day to clean up the mess. After posting the photos in a Solano County neighborhood Facebook group, hundreds of comments from community members poured in. Some commented that they had also recently seen the park in this state and others said they were not surprised. "It's just trashed all around. It sucks because everyone in the community, as soon as everyone saw this [new playground] was getting built up, we all said, 'this is not gonna last,' " said Cisneros. She is disappointed that some community members are selfishly choosing not to clean up after themselves, setting a bad example for the children attending the park who have to play in garbage. Cisneros says that after giving the park multiple chances, she does not wish to take her children back to play. "Because I don't want my kids running around in trash. If I don't let them do this in my own house why would I want them to be in the public, roaming around in trash? It sucks because now all they say is, 'why don't we go to the park?' " said Cisneros. She is asking the city to step in with a solution -- whether it's more cameras, more trash cans or more park maintenance patrols to try and catch those trashing the park in the act. Either way, she's asking for more accountability at Allen Witt Park so families can continue to enjoy the new playground.

Florida set to execute man convicted of raping and killing a woman outside of a bar
STARKE, Fla. — A man convicted of raping and killing a woman near a central Florida bar is scheduled to be executed Tuesday. Thomas Lee Gudinas, 51, is scheduled to receive a lethal injection at Florida State Prison near Starke, barring a last-day reprieve. He was convicted in the May 1994 killing of Michelle McGrath.
