In a little over a month, Benson Boone will release his sophomore album American Heart. The full-length has already produced a pair of singles, both of which are performing well on the Billboard charts, as listeners across the U.S. appear genuinely excited to hear more from the Grammy-nominated musician.
All the excitement surrounding the upcoming project, combined with the continued success of his breakout smash and his recently-released single, helps Boone collect a surprise new bestseller this week.
'Sorry, I'm Here for Someone Else' debuts on the Digital Song Sales chart this week. The cut opens at No. 22 on Billboard's ranking of the bestselling individual tunes in the U.S. During the past tracking frame, the tune sold just under 2,000 copies across the country, according to Luminate.
The arrival of 'Sorry, I'm Here for Someone Else' is somewhat surprising, given that it's not exactly new by pop standards. Boone released the track in late February as the first taste from his upcoming project, and it has already spent double-digit weeks on several other rankings. Pure purchases are typically strongest when a tune first debuts.
As of this frame, 'Sorry, I'm Here for Someone Else' has now spent 10 weeks on seven other Billboard rankings. That roundup includes the Hot 100 as well as four different radio rankings, and the tune reaches new peaks on several of them this frame — including the all-encompassing list of the most-consumed compositions in the U.S.
'Sorry, I'm Here for Someone Else' is currently matched as Boone's lowest-peaking track on the Digital Song Sales chart. He has only sent four tunes to the tally, and his recent release ties the No. 22 peak of 'Slow It Down,' which spent one frame on the roster last spring.
Three of Boone's four compositions that have appeared on the Digital Song Sales chart find space on the list this time around. 'Beautiful Things,' which turned him into a global superstar in early 2024, returns to the highest tier. This time around, it lifts from No. 13 to No. 10 after 68 weeks on the roster. That's an incredible length of time to spend as one of the bestselling tracks in the largest music market in the world.
'Mystical Magical,' the second single taken from American Heart, dips in its second stint on the purchase-only list. This period, the song from No. 9 — where it started last frame — to No. 14.

Charli XCX Pitches 'It Girl' ‘Final Destination' Film Starring Rachel Sennott, Jenna Ortega: 'Just Hot People Getting Killed'

Charli XCX has an idea for the next Final Destination film. The Grammy-winning singer recently took to TikTok to express her love for the supernatural horror-thriller franchise, which just released its latest installment, Final Destination Bloodlines, as well as pitch her own version starring 'It Girls.' More from The Hollywood Reporter Jenna Ortega on Transitioning Out of Child Stardom: "I Play a Schoolgirl" in 'Wednesday' "but I'm Also a Young Woman" 'Final Destination Bloodlines' Directors Share Secrets for Revitalizing a Franchise Box Office: 'Final Destination Bloodlines' Opens to Record-Shattering $51.7M in U.S., $105.8M Globally 'I'm rewatching all of the Final Destination movies, in preparation to see Final Destination Bloodlines, which I'm really excited to see,' she said in the video. 'The reason I love these movies is that they really just are about hot people getting killed. You know, there's no moral backbone to the story, it really is just, 'they're hot, they're cursed and they deserve to die.'' Charli even has an idea for the perfect cast and director. 'I was thinking, well, shouldn't there be a sort of It Girl version of this franchise,' the 'Apple' singer continued. 'You know like, a Final Destination with It Girls. Kind of like, Rachel Sennott, Alex Consani, Gabbriette, Romy Mars, Me, Quenlin Blackwell, Devon Lee Carlson… maybe there's like a Scream Queen in there like Jenna (Ortega). Maybe there's an OG Scream Queen like Sissy Spacek. And then it's also directed by like a horror auteur.' There have been six films released in the Final Destination franchise, including Bloodlines, which was released on May 16, since the first film debuted in 2000. The latest pic also ended up being one of the most successful in the series, with a franchise-best domestic box office opening of $51.7 million, ahead of expectations. 'The films wouldn't have to change their formula, I think the whole point is that they play into the lore. They kind of make fun of their own lore, and I don't think this one would have to be any different, like I think that's the point,' Charli added of her idea. 'It's really not trying to do anything other than have hot people die in the most brutal ways and play with some unbelievable dialogue.' While no official movie is in the works at the moment, Sennott already seemed down for the role, writing in the video's comments, 'Ok I'm in….' ‘Well, That Was Surprising': Top Moments From the National Spelling Bee

After coming in as runner-up during last year's Scripps National Spelling Bee and bungling an earlier chance to win on Thursday night, Faizan Zaki was given a word that, if spelled correctly, would let him finally win it all: 'éclaircissement.' He smiled and, without hesitation, stated each letter easily, then collapsed on the floor amid a shower of confetti. The 13-year-old of Plano, Texas, didn't even need to ask for the word's meaning, 'a clearing up of something obscure.' The stunning win capped a surprising run that took down six finalists and momentarily left the bee's winner in doubt. Here are five takeaways from the competition. The nine finalists were unflappable. None of the nine finalists were eliminated in the first round as they easily tackled words like 'isopag,' 'ethology' and 'Politique.' The vocabulary round took out the first finalist, Akshaj Somisetty, 13, of Harrisburg, Pa., after he incorrectly defined 'imbroglio.' In the third round, Esha Marupudi, 13, of Phoenix, was eliminated after misspelling 'aromorphosis,' and Oliver Halkett, 13, of Los Angeles, was out after struggling with the word 'aurore.' ‘S.W.A.T.' Spinoff Could Now Feature Possible Cast Returns — Besides Shemar Moore — Amid Backlash

Despite only announcing Shemar Moore as a returning cast member, it turns out the S.W.A.T spinoff could feature more surprise appearances from fan-favorite characters. Sony Pictures TV President Katherine Pope weighed in on the possibility earlier this month after S.W.A.T Exiles was announced, telling Variety, "There is a clear world that we're exploring here. We're still putting it all together, but for sure, I think you can expect some of your favorites to be a part of it in some way." Pope noted that the shows now exist in their own "universe" while Exiles is "a bit of a take on the culture generation clash of Gen X versus Gen Z." "Where Hondo is all about duty, hierarchy and chain of command, the Gen Zers are a little more like, 'I might need to take a mental health day. I want to talk about it. I want to understand it,'" Pope teased about the upcoming series. "It's kind of our take on Top Gun Maverick." Why Did Shemar Moore Receive Backlash for 'S.W.A.T.' Spinoff? Surprising Cast Drama Explained Pope continued: "How do we build bridges around not just generational divides, but all forms of divide? There's a lot of division going on in our world. If we just took some time to listen and to try and be part of a team, and what that really means, it would probably be better for all of us." S.W.A.T. premiered in 2017 and aired for six seasons before CBS planned to end its run with season 7. The network ultimately reversed that decision and S.W.A.T. returned for two more seasons, but CBS officially canceled the series while season 8 was airing in March 2025. Earlier this month, S.W.A.T.'s series finale aired and just two days later Sony Pictures Television announced a spinoff starring Moore, 55, and a new cast. The decision received backlash since Jay Harrington, David Lim, Patrick St. Esprit, Anna Enger Ritch, Annie Ilonzeh and Niko Pepaj also took part in efforts to revive the series. Moore stood by the decision, saying in an Instagram video, 'Nobody likes change. I understand that. I get it 100 percent. But without change, you can't grow. You can't win without taking your lumps. It ain't easy making it in the game of Hollywood. It ain't. TV shows don't last eight years anymore. The game has changed. But S.W.A.T. Exiles, baby! S.W.A.T. Exiles. Bigger, bolder. S.W.A.T. on steroids." Which 'S.W.A.T.' Stars Are — And Aren't — Returning for Surprise Spinoff After Multiple Cancellations? He continued: 'I'm not saying I'm Tom Brady, but I'm the Tom Brady of S.W.A.T. That's not arrogant. That's not ego. It's a fact. I'm the quarterback. I'm Shemar Moore a.k.a Hondo. But I had a squad. A strong squad. A family. A team. And I would be remiss If I didn't say out loud to the world and to them — because I know they're watching this — I love you. I respect you. I appreciate you.' Lim, 41, who has been with the show since season 1, was the first cast member to officially break his silence on the drama. "I'd be lying if I said the rollout of the new spinoff didn't sting. It was tough to see it announced just two days after our finale — with no mention of the cast who helped build S.W.A.T. from day one," he wrote via Instagram on Wednesday, May 28. "After eight incredible seasons, it felt like we were brushed aside when there could've been a moment of reflection and recognition — for the people who built this show, and for the impact it had on so many."
