Kitefin XE is the latest in a series of Kitefin systems developed for government and defence that aims to save missions and lives. Kitefin Tactical and Kitefin Office were deployed with the US Army in the first-ever large-scale deployment of LiFi. Building on their predecessors' success, Kitefin XE offers room-filling LiFi coverage of over 80 Sq. Metres and provides Gbps capacity, making it the highest-performing LiFi system available on the market for government and defence which complies with IEEE 802.11bb standard. All pureLiFi systems are based on IEEE 802.11 protocols, making them the simplest LiFi systems to integrate into existing networks. STORY: Nippon Steel closed its nearly $15 billion acquisition of U.S. Steel on Wednesday, the companies said, and a big winner could be the Trump administration. Under the deal's terms, Nippon bought 100% of U.S. Steel shares, as it first laid out in its offer for the struggling steelmaker in late 2023. But the terms also include a national security agreement inked with the Trump administration, which gives President Donald Trump the authority to name a board member as well as a non-economic golden share. The golden share gives the U.S. government veto authority over a raft of corporate decisions, from cutting production output to moving U.S. Steel's headquarters out of Pittsburgh. A month later, Trump headlined a rally giving his vague blessing to an "investment" by Nippon Steel, which he described as a "great partner." The acquisition will give U.S. Steel an $11 billion investment through 2028, including money for a new U.S. mill.
