Two children seriously injured after being struck by car in NH, police say
Police blocked off several roadways on Thursday afternoon after two children were struck by a car.
Authorities say the collision happened on Belmont Street.
The two juvenile victims were transported to an area hospital with serious injuries.
It's unclear if the driver remained at the scene or if they will face charges.
Belmont at Hanover and Belmont from Lake Avenue to Spruce Street are closed to traffic.
All motorists are being asked to avoid the area.
The incident remains under investigation.

Man killed woman then looked up partner, jury told
A homeless man accused of murdering a grandmother looked up her partner on social media after her death, a court heard. Roy Barclay, 56, allegedly killed Anita Rose, 57, as she walked her dog near a sewage works in Brantham, Suffolk, on 24 July 2024. Three weeks later, Mr Barclay made two searches on Facebook for Ms Rose's partner, Richard Jones, Ipswich Crown Court heard. Mr Barclay, of no fixed address, denies murder. He was arrested in October 2024 and had his phone seized by Suffolk Police, the court heard. Jurors on Friday were talked through data the force obtained. It included searches made online and websites that were browsed. Facebook searches for Richard Jones - the long-term partner of Ms Rose - were made on separate occasions, the prosecution said. They said the first was on 13 August and the second on 17 September. The jury was also shown several news articles, including 12 from the BBC, that Mr Barclay was said to have viewed between August and October. He has been accused of using his walking boots to deliver "numerous kicks, stamps and blows" in a fatal attack on Ms Rose. It has been alleged that Mr Barclay was "on the run" trying to avoid being "recalled back to prison" when he was said to have killed Ms Rose. Christopher Paxton KC, prosecuting, also revealed details of a Facebook post Mr Barclay was said to have liked on 15 September. It quoted author George Orwell and read: "War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength. "If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human's face - forever." Mr Paxton previously said Mr Barclay had an "extraordinary interest in the media broadcasts" surrounding Ms Rose's death. The trial continues. Louisiana Republican Senator John Kennedy appeared on Fox News with host Sean Hannity on Wednesday and drew comparisons between anti-ICE protests in Los Angeles, California and disgraced film producer Harvey Weinstein. On "Hannity," Kennedy discussed the protests in Los Angeles against the Trump administration's immigration policies and Governor Gavin Newsom's response to the riots. "I've listened to so many of my colleagues and members of the media say that these things are mostly peaceful protests," Kennedy stated. "That's like saying that that's saying that Harvey Weinstein is mostly a feminist because he didn't rape every woman came into his office. He only raped some of them." Los Angeles witnessed protests on June 6, reacting to immigration raids that occurred at workplaces, traffic stops, and routine legal check-ins. President Donald Trump sent 2,000 National Guard members to the Los Angeles protests, followed up by a deployment of 700 U.S. Marines. California Governor Newsom censured Trump's decision to deploy troops to the state, criticizing it as an overreach of governmental power, unconstitutional, and a deliberate provocation. The state filed a federal lawsuit seeking to block Trump's deployment. U.S. District Judge Charles Breyer is expected to hear Newsome's motion for a temporary restraining order that would limit the activities of the 4,000 National Guard members and 700 Marines to protecting federal buildings in a small area of downtown Los Angeles where most of the protests have taken place. During Kennedy's segment on "Hannity," he stated that Newsom has flip-flopped on issues but has been consistent on his antipathy towards the lives and feelings of ordinary Americans, including public safety. "Governor Newsome is, his record shows this, he's the dictionary definition of weenie," Kennedy stated. "He thinks cops are a bigger problem than criminals. He thinks if a cop has to shoot a criminal, it's automatically and always a cop's fault. But if a criminal shoots a cop, it's automatically and always the gun's fault." JCSO and K9 units actively searching for man wanted on multiple felony warrants
JCSO said that the K9 Tracking Unit is still trying to locate Howard. Heavy Law enforcement is present on Highway 231 near Obert Road in Cottondale. (WMBB) – The Jackson County Sheriff's Office and K9 Tracking Unit are actively searching in the area of Obert Road for Chase Michael Howard. According to a JCSO Facebook post, Howard has multiple Bay County felony warrants that include one for Aggravated Assault. JCSO said that Howard was last seen wearing a red shirt, blue jeans and a black hat. Anyone with any information on Howard's whereabouts or who sees him, call 911 immediately.
