Christine McGuinness makes huge sexuality admission as she addresses divorce

Christine McGuinness has opened up about her sexuality, admitting she has dated both men and women since she was a teenager, and has never shied away from this
Christine McGuinness has admitted to dating both men and women. The former model turned reality star has dated women since she was a teenager and admits her sexuality has never been a secret.
The Blackpool-born star admitted that her now ex-husband, Top Gear star Paddy, and her family had all known about her sexuality throughout her marriage. Christine and Paddy, 51, announced in 2022 that they had decided to separate after 11 years of marriage.

Despite their separation, they continued to live together at their Cheshire home for the sake of their children, twins Leo and Penelope, and Felicity. Prior to dating Paddy, Christine revealed she had a "two-year situationship" – but while she's openly looking for love, she's not looking for somebody to be a step-parent for her children.

Instead, she wants a connection on a more personal level for herself. "It shouldn't matter somebody's gender," she said. She went on to add: "It never mattered to me, which was why once me and my ex-husband were separated and I met people, I didn't properly date.
"It was more like blurred the lines of friendships for me, that was normal. It felt comfortable because I'd done that as a teenager and I, as a teenager, I dated both men and women. My ex-husband knew, my family knew, it was never a secret for me."
Speaking on the How To Fail podcast, Christine, who also appeared as a guest on The Real Housewives of Cheshire, was asked if she would label her sexuality. Despite hesitating, she insisted that she is a "free spirit."
"No, and again, I've thought about it," she commented. Christine added: "A lot of people always ask me, are you a lesbian? Are you bisexual? Are you what? Is this a phase? I've always been quite a free spirit. I think that's the only word I would put on it. When I was a teenager, I'd dated boys and girls. 14/15 was probably when I had my first kisses with, with both, and I never felt it was anything different or a big deal."

The TV star went on to say, "Then I think where I grew up, everyone was kind of just there for a good time." But while she's had "situationships," she and her partners have never put labels on their relationship status. "My experiences with women have been lovely, and it's not like women are better or worse," she told broadcaster Elizabeth Day.
Speaking about the differences, she said: "It's simply that the connection for me is different. I need a connection now. I need something different. I really, really, honestly, I love my family, and Patrick is part of my family, and he always, always will be. But now for my next relationship, I know what I want, and I want someone for me.
"I want someone that I like spending time with, we can do stuff together that we both enjoy. I want that emotional connection where I can be open and I can talk and I can be vulnerable and I can ask for help, but I can also have a laugh and just have a good time. It's not like I'm trying to find a new family unit or someone to come in and be a stepparent. I want my next relationship to be for me."
But while she and Paddy still live together, she admits that they can both enjoy dating others due to the fact they are divorced. However, one thing that isn't up for discussion – neither of them overshare about their dating experiences. "We are still exes and we are still living in the same house," she said of the decision.
Christine had initially signed up for Celebs Go Dating as part of her quest to find love and a connection again. However, she dramatically quit the series after explaining that the platform and attention from the show was "too soon" for her. But bosses behind the show had said that the door would always be open for Christine to return.

Clarkson's Farm shares first look at Jeremy's epic pub makeover - as punters queue down the road for bank holiday blowout at The Farmer's Dog

A first look at the remaining two episodes of Prime Video's Clarkson's Farm has been revealed. The much-loved documentary series, which follows former Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson run his own farm in Oxfordshire, returned for its fourth season earlier this month. The first four instalments were dropped on 23 May, followed two more on 30 May, and the last two will be available to enjoy this Friday (6 June). Prime Video have dropped a sneak peek of what to expect at the end of the week - and it's certainly not one to miss. As fans will know, the series has watched Jeremy work hard on his farm Diddly Squat and take on a new project of managing his own pub. Episode seven, named Hurrying, sees the TV star start to worry as he realises that the August bank holiday weekend is closer than he thought. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. And episode eight, named Landlording, sees the Bank holiday arrive and the pub's grand-opening. Jeremy and the gang manage to spot some problems, but they are luckily fixed before the punters get through the door. In one snap Kaleb Cooper has a big smile on his face as he puts The Farmer's Dog sign up outside the boozer. While in another the farmer is in high spirits as he chats away to Jeremy outside the pub with a pint. Jeremy can also be seen getting stuck in to make sure that the pub is ready for the customers to come through the door. The telly legend is also seen checking in with one of the chefs in the kitchen. The Farmer's Dog stunning interior is also shown, including a funky red light up sign that says Farmers' Clubhouse. Other pictures show guests waiting outside to have a look inside the lavish eatery. It comes after new Diddly Squat farmhand Harriet Cowan took a cheeky swipe at boss Jeremy Clarkson by claiming not all farmers are '60-year-old men with beer bellies'. The glam blonde, 24, starred in season four of the Prime Video show Clarkson's Farm, which follows former Top Gear host, 65, as he masters the art of farming, after manager Kaleb, 26, was unable to appear in several episodes. Now Harriett, who also works as a nurse, has said she hopes her starring role in the show will help challenge the stereotype of who can be a farmer. She told BBC News: 'I think when you talk to somebody and ask what they stereotypically think of when someone says farmer they say "60-year-old man with a checked shirt and a beer belly", and a lot of the time that is it, but us women are out here and farmers too,' 'Just because I'm a small, blonde that likes to curl her hair and wear make-up, it doesn't mean I can't be a farmer'. 'I'm trying to change the norm of the man being the farmer and the woman being the stay-at-home wife and cook. When the war was on, women did all the farming, so we have always farmed - it's just changing that stereotype'. On Thursday Harriet was seen posing with her new fans at the Staffordshire County Show after swiftly becoming a fan favourite. She cut a casual figure in a white T-shirt and blue jeans as she strolled around, looking at the livestock and tractors. While enjoying a day out in the sun, several fans stopped Harriet to ask for a picture, with one penning on Instagram: 'Made my day' Stafford County Show is a two-day agricultural show with competitions for livestock & horses, over 400 trade stands, country pursuits area with something for all the family on Wednesday 28 and Thursday 29 May 2025. The outing comes after Harriet broke her silence on a 'fake' Clarkson's Farm scene as she spoke candidly on on the Should I Delete That podcast with Jeremy's daughter Emily this week. She spoke about one scene in the trailer that she thought seemed 'fake' when she watched it back but was in fact completely true. They discussed on the podcast how busy farmers are and how Harriet also works a full time nursing job five days a week. Emily asked her: 'Do you ever sit down with your boyfriend and chill together, or eat together? It sounds impossible.' Harriet then said: 'No! In the trailer where it's like, 'Have you watched Clarkson's Farm before?' And I'm like, 'No', and when I watched it it looked so fake. 'But it is so real because we don't watch telly. 'Literally, if we watch something, James will sit down, his head will hit the back of the sofa and he's asleep because the second he can rest, he'll sleep, because he's so tired all the time.' On the podcast Harriet also spoke about breaking stereotypes of women working in farming. She said of appearing on the show: 'I wanted to show that women can do it too, we are there but people can't see it. Women can do it. 'Most people think of just older men wearing checked shirts when it comes to farming. She cut a casual figure in a white T-shirt and blue jeans as she strolled around, looking at the livestock and tractors 'I am challenging people's views of what people think a farmer looks like. People are so shocked when they drive past and I'm in the tractor they just stare.' Clarkson's Farm series one to three are available to stream exclusively on Prime Video. Series four will air from May 23, with two additional episodes released a week later on May 30, followed by the final two on June 6.
