US warplanes carry out 2nd airstrike of the day on Yemen's Saada
US warplanes carried out airstrikes on Saada city in northern Yemen on early Sunday, targeting a shop and a nearby house, Houthi-affiliated media reported.
Al-Masirah TV channel reported via its Telegram channel that "American aggressive forces" conducted four airstrikes targeting the Hafsin neighborhood in the west of Saada city.
The airstrikes also targeted a store selling solar panels and equipment, as well as a nearby house.
The report said civil defense teams are working to extinguish fires and retrieve victims from the rubble following the attack but did not provide any additional information.
Earlier in the day, US aircraft had carried out two other airstrikes on the Kahlan area of Saada city, according to the Houthi-affiliated SABA News Agency, which also did not provide additional information.
The Houthi sources did not specify whether there were any casualties or offer further details about the attacks.
Last month, US President Donald Trump said that he had ordered "decisive and powerful military action" against the Houthis and later threatened to "completely annihilate them."
The Houthis have targeted ships passing through the Red and Arabian seas, the Bab al-Mandab Strait, and the Gulf of Aden since November 2023 in solidarity with Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, where more than 50,600 people have been killed in a brutal Israeli assault.
The group halted attacks when a Gaza ceasefire was declared in January between Israel and the Palestinian group Hamas but resumed them after renewed Israeli airstrikes on Gaza last month.
