Jam Master Jay's Killer Hospitalized After Being Stabbed 18 Times In Prison Gang Fight
The convicted gunman in the 2002 murder of Hip-Hop legend Jam Master Jay has been hospitalized after being stabbed 18 times during a prison gang fight at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.
On Feb. 22, Karl Jordan, who was found guilty in 2024 of pulling the trigger in the shooting death of the iconic DJ, was wounded in the altercation and admitted to the hospital in serious condition.
At the time of the attack, Jordan and fellow members of his gang, the Bloods, were engaged in a fight with rival gang, the Trinitarios, leaving multiple people wounded.
Jordan's injuries were the most serious, leading to the collapse of both his lungs—though condition has since been upgraded.
The gang fight led to a lock down of the facility and the suspension of all visitation privileges for at least one month, as the notorious holding facility continues to battle scandals and controversy.
Jordan and his accomplice, Ronald 'Tinard' Washington, are believed to have slain Jam Master Jay for being cut out of a proposed cocaine trafficking operation to be based in Baltimore. It was also alleged to be supplied by founding Black Mafia Family member Terry 'Southwest T' Flenory.
Jordan and Washington are still awaiting sentencing for the murder of Jam Master Jay. Both face a minimum of 20 years in prison up to a maximum of life.

Suge Knight Expresses Sympathy For Diddy In New Interview
Source: Pool / Getty Even while behind bars Suge Knight is not the one to hold his tongue. He has now weighed in on Diddy's ongoing federal trial. The Deathrow Records founder recently conducted several in depth interviews spanning several hours with ABC News . During the conversations Suge Knight made it clear that while he still has his issues with Diddy, he believes that many of the problems within the Rap industry are systemic issues. 'If you're going to make Puffy answer, make everyone answer,' Suge explained. 'Change the theme of the culture of the problems in Hip-Hop. I think it'd be a great thing to let Puffy tell his truth. Tell the real truth, and bring everybody accountable.' When asked about the notorious 'Freak Offs' Suge said that there have been rumors about Diddy's sex life since the 1990s. 'Everybody knew that,' Knight revealed. 'Puffy didn't just pop in the industry and say 'hey, I want to have sex with everybody. I mean, we don't have enough time to name all the names.' Since the trial has commenced Suge Knight's name has been mentioned close to 50 times. Diddy's former assistant Capricorn Clark testified that Combs frequently chastised her because she worked for Suge Knight prior. She also claimed that Diddy threatened because of her work history. 'He told me he didn't know that I had anything to do with Suge Knight and, if anything happened, he would have to kill me,' she said. Capricorn also alleged that Diddy blackballed her from the music industry making it nearly impossible to find other work. Suge Knight detailed how someone of Diddy's stature could easily do such a thing. 'She did great things for Puffy. Anything he needed, she got it. Anything he wanted, if she didn't have it, she made it happen,' he said. 'A lot of people might say, well, Capricorn could have did anything else she wanted to do. She did try. If you go get a job at Universal and Puffy makes a phone call, you're not getting that job. If you go get a job at a counter agency or in the movie business and Puff make that call, your career is over.' Suge Knight also expressed some sympathy toward Diddy and his situation. 'I feel that people in Puffy's life, going on his journey growing up, they failed him,' he said. 'Do I think he made some mistakes? I think he repeats what he's seen. He repeats what he learned.' Diddy has pleaded not guilty to all the charges. If convicted on all counts he could face life in prison. Michael Jordan Won't Do Live Segments For NBC's Coverage Of The NBA, Per Reports
The NBA world was excited to hear that Michael Jordan may be making yet another return to the NBA. However, this time, as a part of the media instead of a player or owner. NBC announced that Jordan will be a 'special contributor' in their NBA coverage from next season. Of course, at age 62, one would not expect Jordan to return as a player. But this turned out to be very contrary to the public perception that Jordan likes to keep away from the public eye and doesn't like to make public appearances. Moreover, since in 2023, he sold his majority stake in the Charlotte Hornets, people assumed Jordan wanted to take a break from the game. Advertisement Now, a new report has emerged that suggests Jordan will only do taped segments as a part of his deal with NBC. The deal announcement did not clearly explain Jordan's role with NBC, and the report's author, Alex Sherman, claims, "There's a reason for that – the role is still nebulous. But, fair reader, I'm here to serve. I'm told the initial plan is for Jordan to appear in taped segments during the season to provide analysis that will air during pregame shows or halftime shows. How that evolves over time is still TBD. The deal with Jordan was orchestrated by longtime NBC Sports executive Jon Miller, who has a decades-long relationship with MJ. Therefore, Jordan will still not be open to tackling unplanned questions and unscripted incidents in the game. After all, he hasn't become a different person overnight. However, all credit goes to Jon Miller for making this deal happen. How Michael Jordan And NBA Media Reacted To His Partnership With NBC After the deal was announced, Michael Jordan also publicly acknowledged this partnership with NBC. He said, "I am so excited to see the NBA back on NBC. The NBA on NBC was a meaningful part of my career, and I'm excited about being a special contributor to the project. I'm looking forward to seeing you all when the NBA on NBC launches this October." Advertisement Following his reaction, the NBA media contemplated the nature of Jordan's role with NBC. Stephen A. suggested Jordan should appear on the show while smoking his cigar, whereas Nick Wright jokingly suggested that NBC should make MJ their gambling expert. However, now we finally have some clarity that nothing will be unscripted on his segment. After the release of the 'The Last Dance' documentary, Jordan received backlash as his brand Jump 23 had co-produced it. That meant he had a final say in what went into the documentary and what was cut out. Hopefully, this time, he won't receive as much backlash as he did from his teammates. Rep. Nadler: GOP should condemn detention of aide at Manhattan office
New York Democratic Rep. Jerrold Nadler on Tuesday called on the Republican chairman of the House Judiciary Committee to condemn the brief detention of a Nadler aide by federal authorities at his lower Manhattan district office last week amid a protest against President Donald Trump's crackdown on undocumented immigrants. Joined by Rep. Jamie Raskin, the Judiciary Committee's ranking Democrat, Nadler demanded Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, stand up for the congressional staffer who was handcuffed Wednesday during protests at the Varick St. building that houses both the Nadler office and an immigration courthouse. 'We call on you, as chairman of the House Committee on the Judiciary, to condemn this aggressive affront to the separation of powers and the safety of members of Congress, our staff, and our constituents,' the letter said. Jordan didn't immediately respond. The Department of Homeland Security said the Nadler aide, who was never arrested, was briefly detained as part of a wider security check to protect federal employees in the building during the protest. But Democrats say the detention is part of an aggressive policy by the Trump administration to squelch public opposition to its plan to deport millions of undocumented immigrants. 'These types of intimidation tactics are completely unwarranted and cannot be tolerated,' the lawmakers wrote to Jordan. 'The decision to enter a congressional office and detain a congressional staff member demonstrates a deeply troubling disregard for proper legal boundaries.' Nadler, who was the Judiciary chairman until this year, has been irate over the incident since it happened. He accused DHS of 'lying' about it, especially a claim that the female staffer was 'harboring rioters.' Along with congressional action, he's calling for a probe into what he considers an abuse of power to target opponents of the Trump administration, but Democrats believe that is unlikely to happen. 'They barged in … and they then said that she pushed back and they shackled her and took her downstairs,' Nadler told CNN on Monday. 'She was obviously traumatized.'
