General Manager Eric DeCosta, however, did mention the team's commitment to locking in both 2022 first-round picks for the long haul with contract extensions.
Hamilton, selected 14th overall from Notre Dame, earns a fully guaranteed $18.6 million for 2026, a no-brainer for a two-time Pro Bowler and 2023 first-team All-Pro. The one year salary puts him in the same pay range as veterans Budda Baker and Minka Fitzpatrick. Linderbaum, picked 25th out of Iowa, saw his $23.4 million option declined due to its steep cost, driven by the NFL's grouping of all offensive linemen to calculate the salary.
Despite this, DeCosta stressed Linderbaum's value, 'It is our intention for him to remain a Raven long term.'
A two-time Pro Bowler, Linderbaum has started all 49 games, ranking third among centers in 2024 per Pro Football Focus. His 96.5% pass block win rate and role in Derrick Henry's 1,900-yard season highlight his elite skill. Declining the option puts Linderbaum in a contract year in 2025, likely pushing the Ravens to negotiate an extension closer to top earning center Creed Humphrey's $18 million annual salary.

While his pass protection dipped a bit in 2024, his 87.2 PFF run-blocking grade stands as the best of his career." Meanwhile, PFF ranked Edwards down at No. 29. The 2019 First-team All-Big Ten team member has played six professional seasons with the Los Angeles Rams and Buffalo Bills. Shortly after winning a Super Bowl with the Rams in 2021, the lineman joined the Bills in 2023 as a backup before starting all 16 games during the 2024 campaign. Here's what PFF said about Edwards ahead of his third season in Buffalo: "2024 marked Edwards' first season in a starting role since 2021. He earned solid PFF overall grades, but really stood out as a zone blocker, recording a 78.1 PFF run-blocking grade on zone concepts — good for the 93rd percentile and the fifth-highest mark among qualifying guards." Zeitler's Lions will square off against the Packers on Sept. 7 to begin the season, while Edwards' Bills will play the Ravens the same day, beginning their quest for a second straight AFC Championship game appearance. That feverish pursuit has helped inflate the quarterback market to the point that, somewhat ludicrously, nine signal-callers are paid more per year than the two-time MVP.
