The strikes came just hours after Yemen's Houthis launched a hypersonic ballistic missile at Israel's Nevatim Air Base, claiming a direct hit in response to ongoing Israeli massacres in Gaza. Also Read New U.S. airstrikes destroy iron factory in Yemen
The escalation raises questions over Washington's true motives—whether to ensure maritime security or to support Israel against the Houthis.

Sirens sound across central 'Israel' following alleged Houthi missile launch

Sirens sounded across central 'Israel' on Tuesday after the 'Israeli' military reported intercepting a missile allegedly launched from Yemen by the Houthi movement. In a statement, the 'Israeli' army said a single missile was fired toward 'Israeli' territory and was successfully intercepted before impact. The launch triggered air raid sirens in multiple areas, sending residents rushing to shelters. Hebrew Channel 12 reported that people remained in shelters for an extended period following the alert. No injuries or damage were reported, and the military did not disclose details about the type of missile intercepted.

Houthi missiles trigger Israeli airport shutdowns as Tel Aviv strikes Yemen's Hodeida port

ALBAWABA- Air raid sirens rang out across central and southern Israel, including Ashkelon and the greater Tel Aviv area, after a ballistic missile was launched from Yemen, prompting widespread panic and sheltering. Israeli authorities confirmed that one missile was intercepted before it reached Israeli airspace, marking the second such launch in as many days by Yemen's Houthi movement. As a precaution, air traffic was temporarily suspended at Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion International Airport, with thousands of Israelis forced into shelters across affected regions. Channel 12 reported that the public remained under alert even after the interception. The Houthis have declared the missile strikes a response to what they call Israeli "atrocities" in Gaza and continued aggression against Yemen. The launches are part of a broader campaign to pressure Israel amid its ongoing war in Gaza. Also Read Israeli navy carries out its first attack on Yemen In a significant escalation, Israel retaliated on Tuesday by striking the port city of Hodeidah in western Yemen, the first such Israeli naval attack in the conflict. The Israeli military claimed the Houthis were using the port to smuggle weapons, allegedly bypassing UN inspections. Hodeida is a key hub for humanitarian aid to Yemen, and the attack is likely to complicate relief operations in a country already grappling with hunger and war.

Trump slams Iran's nuclear posture as U.S. command warns of escalation

ALBAWABA- U.S. President Donald Trump has described Iran's recent behavior in nuclear negotiations as 'more aggressive,' telling Fox News that Tehran's latest response to a U.S. Proposal is 'unacceptable.' 'Iran is asking for things you can't do,' Trump said, adding, 'They're behaving completely differently than they were just a few days ago.' These remarks come amid growing alarm from U.S. Military leadership. The commander of U.S. Central Command warned that Iran has significantly increased its stockpile of 60% enriched uranium, pushing the region closer to a potential crisis. While describing Iranian proxies as weakened, the commander identified the Houthis as the most serious ongoing threat. He emphasized that U.S. forces are prepared to respond with overwhelming force should President Trump give the order to prevent Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon. A military option remains on the table, with the president and defense secretary reportedly briefed on multiple scenarios. The commander also warned that if Israel launches a unilateral attack on Iran, it would likely endanger U.S. forces stationed across the region. Tensions further escalated as Iran's Atomic Energy Organization spokesman, Behrouz Kamalvandi, cautioned that Tehran could scale back cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) if a resolution is passed against Iran. Kamalvandi said Iran has 'cooperated beyond its legal obligations,' but would reassess this stance if its goodwill is not reciprocated. In a parallel development, Iran's intelligence ministry claimed it had completed a major covert operation to obtain a trove of highly classified Israeli documents. The cache reportedly includes sensitive files related to Israel's nuclear and military programs, details of dual-use scientific projects, and alleged collaborations with U.S. and European institutions. Iran says the material contains identities and locations of Israeli scientists and could be shared with allies or anti-Israel resistance groups. Tehran asserts the documents expose what it calls 'false and misleading' Israeli reports to international bodies, particularly regarding Iran's peaceful nuclear program. The documents are now reportedly being reviewed by Iran's armed forces and intelligence agencies.
