Families of three IDF soldiers killed in Gaza donate their organs for transplants
The families of Omar Van Gelder, Lior Steinberg, and Alon Farkas, three soldiers killed in Gaza this week, have agreed to donate their organs.

The families of Omer Van Gelder from Ma'ale Adumim, Lior Steinberg from Petah Tikva, and Alon Farkas from Kibbutz Kabri nobly agreed to the donations. The condition of the organ recipients has not been disclosed.
Alon Farkas, 27, a soldier in the 6646 Reconnaissance Battalion of the Shuali Marom Brigade, was killed during a clash with terrorists in the Shuja'iya area in northern Gaza. The incident occurred when an IDF unit came under enemy fire. The IDF responded, advanced on the terrorists, and during the fighting, Farkas was killed, and another soldier was wounded. The Air Force attacked the target, and it is believed that some of the terrorists were hit.
Farkas, a neuroscience student at Ben Gurion University in Be'er Sheva, had completed 300 days of reserve duty since the start of the war. His funeral took place on Wednesday in Pardes Hanna. A spokesperson for Kibbutz Kfar Yehezkel, Adi Kinan, confirmed that the family agreed to donate his organs. Farkas's parents reside in Pardes Hanna, while his grandparents live in Kibbutz Kfar Yehezkel.
Farkas' parents stated: "Looking at the images of the fallen, the nobility of the families in the hardest moments reminds us of the strength of our people, the values of solidarity, and the love for humanity."
Sergeant Major Lior Steinberg, 20, from Petah Tikva, a combat medic in the Givati Brigade, was killed in an explosion at a bomb site in the Jabalya camp in northern Gaza. He was laid to rest at Segula Cemetery in his hometown. He leaves behind his parents, Orly and Anton, and his older sister, Shira.
Sergeant Major Omer Van Gelder, 22, from Ma'ale Adumim, served as a team commander in the 'Rotem' Battalion of the Givati Brigade. He was laid to rest at Mount Herzl in Jerusalem. Omar is survived by his parents, Haggai and Tehila, and three siblings – Talia, Ori, and Itai. He volunteered with Magen David Adom and the "Wings of Crane" organization. All of his family members had signed the organ donation card.

Group Targeted in Boulder Attack Undeterred as Support Builds, Leader Says
The group victimized in an anti-Semitic attack plans to return undaunted to the scene of the Boulder, Colorado, firebombing—and is emerging stronger worldwide, an organizer said. 'Leaders are going to go out this weekend and hold their regularly scheduled walk, maybe with more security,' Shira Weiss, global coordinator of the 'Run for Their Lives' group, told The Epoch Times. The group was formed shortly after the Hamas terrorist ambush of Israel on Oct. 7, 2023, launching the Israel-Hamas War. As the war persists, more than 50 people remain captive, Weiss said, and the apolitical, nonpartisan group has gathered weekly ever since. 'Unfortunately, this awful event and attack has actually strengthened the initiative ... and we've actually gotten a really big uptick in new people wanting to stand up new chapters,' Weiss said, noting the group includes more than 230 chapters worldwide. The Boulder attack marked 'the first-ever attack on any of our groups,' she said. Initially, the group 'paused all walks' while organizers evaluated safety considerations, Weiss said. 'Once we figured out that it was an isolated incident, we allowed the group leaders to resume their walks if they wanted to,' she said. Run for Their Lives has received an outpouring of support, Weiss said, with many people urging the organization to continue its work. A Denver group has planned 'to walk in solidarity' with the Boulder group on Sunday, she said. Some news coverage of the group's activities has been inaccurate, she said. 'I wouldn't even call it a 'march,'' she said. 'It's literally a walk of about 20 minutes,' sometimes sandwiched between a few short remarks. 'Law enforcement was completely cooperative but the threats were of a nature that required cancellation,' Friedman wrote in his post. 'When [President Donald Trump] says we need to take our country back, this is a good example of what he means!' Friedman served as ambassador from 2017–2021, during Trump's first presidency.

A massive pro-Israel conference in Texas has been canceled over 'threats from violent Jihadists' — even after changing venues over security concerns, organizers said. The Israel Summit, scheduled for next Monday through Wednesday in Dallas, switched locations due to 'indirect and direct threats made by American, pro-Hamas, Jihadist groups, who issued calls to 'target' the Israel Summit,' the organizers said in a statement. But anti-Israel activists outed the new venue and planned to protest the event, according to Luke Hilton from the Israel Guys, which was co-hosting the event. 'This is America in 2025,' former US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman, who was one of the slated speakers for the event, wrote on X. St.-Sgt. Raver, 19, from Sde Warburg, served in the IDF's elite Yahalom unit. Former hostage Liri Albag eulogized killed soldier and former classmate St.-Sgt. Yoav Raver in an Instagram story on Friday, after his death was announced along with the deaths of three other soldiers who were all killed in the same incident in Khan Yunis. "Yoav was in my class. He's someone who does everything calmly and quietly. He always respects everyone and makes those around him feel at ease," Albag said. The four soldiers were killed when a bomb detonated, causing a building to collapse on the troops. Five soldiers were wounded in the same incident, one severely. "Yoav was the son of Lior and Gili Raver and the brother of Tamar and Omri, a graduate of Ami Asaf Educational Center. Our hearts are broken," the Drom Hasharon Regional Council said in a Facebook statement. Warr. Ofc. Gross, 33, from Gan Yoshiya, was named as another soldier killed in the explosion. The names of the two other killed soldiers were not cleared for publication. The Emek Hefer Regional Council grieved Gross's death. "Chen was the son of Irit and Adi and the brother of Mor and Raz, a graduate of Ma'ayan Regional High School in Emek Hefer.
