Cryotherapy: Rapid Recovery and Pain Relief
Cryotherapy is one of the most popular services at Body Techs, delivering relief and recovery in just three minutes. The team often uses the motto 'Cryo Now or Cry Later' to highlight the importance of taking proactive steps toward recovery and wellness. By exposing the body to sub-zero temperatures, cryotherapy reduces inflammation, promotes healing, and boosts circulation.
One client recovering from a severe auto accident shared:
'I had 12 cracked ribs, a sprained ankle, a collapsed lung, and a bruised heart. Cryotherapy and red light therapy were game-changers for me. After just a few sessions, my pain significantly decreased, my energy improved, and at 62, I even noticed unexpected benefits like improved vitality. These treatments gave me hope and helped me regain control of my health.'
Red Light Therapy and Normatec Compression
These therapies complement cryotherapy by promoting cellular repair, reducing inflammation, and enhancing recovery. Red light therapy is particularly popular for improving skin health, cellular repair, and boosting circulation, while Normatec compression therapy helps reduce muscle soreness and improve mobility.
Renasculpt and Cryo Slimming: Non-Invasive Body Contouring
Body Techs offers advanced solutions like Renasculpt (HIEMT technology) and Cryo Slimming to help clients achieve their body goals safely and effectively. These non-invasive treatments deliver noticeable results without the downtime of surgery.
Chiropractic and Physical Therapy
Licensed professionals at Body Techs provide expert chiropractic care and physical therapy to alleviate pain, restore mobility, and enhance overall wellness.
A marathon runner shared:
'As a runner, Body Techs has been essential to my training and recovery. Cryotherapy helps me recover faster, and chiropractic care with Dr. Derek Fruetel worked wonders for my IT band and hip issues. Thanks to their dry needling and shockwave therapy, I feel stronger, more balanced, and ready to tackle my next marathon.'

Google Confirms Almost All Gmail Users Must Upgrade Accounts

Change your account now. Your email is under attack. You know this, of course, but Google has just confirmed that 61% of email users have been targeted by attacks. If that sounds alarming, the situation with text messaging is even worse, hitting almost all American phone users. Google warns that more than 60% of U.S. users saw 'an increase in scams over the past year,' with more than half 'personally experiencing a data breach.' While these numbers are 'far from surprising,' Google says, what is surprising is that almost all users are yet to upgrade accounts to make them safer and more secure. Most users, Google says, 'still rely on older sign-in methods like passwords and two-factor authentication (2FA),' despite the push to upgrade accounts to passkeys and social sign-ins, which uses authenticated platforms like 'Sign in with Google.' The situation is slightly more promising with younger users. 'Digitally-native Gen Z users are bypassing outdated security norms like passwords, opting for more advanced authentication tools.' This younger generation is 'more reliant on passkeys or social sign-ins,' albeit they're also more likely to reuse and less likely to change passwords. Google warns 'passwords are not only painful to maintain, but are also more prone to phishing and often leaked through data breaches.' And that's the real issue. 'It's important to use tools that automatically secure your account and protect you from scams,' Google tells users, and that means upgrading accounts now. Google says 'we want to move beyond passwords altogether, while keeping sign-ins as easy as possible.' That includes social sign ins, but mainly it means passkeys. 'Passkeys are phishing-resistant and can log you in simply with the method you use to unlock your device (like your fingerprint or face ID) — no password required.' Adding a passkey to your Google account also means 'you can rely on just your Google Account to log in to your favorite websites and apps — limiting the number of accounts you have to maintain.' Put more simply, because passkeys link to your hardware — primarily your phone, this secure device becomes a digital key for critical accounts. Microsoft has gone further than Google and is pushing for users to delete passwords altogether, given they present an account vulnerability if still in place. While you can't do that with your Google account today, you can avoid using your password and you can change 2FA to remove SMS texts and only use options linked to your devices — an authenticator apps or Google prompts. Criticism of Lapu Lapu memorial event surprises Vancouver Mayor Ken Sim

VANCOUVER - Vancouver Mayor Ken Sim says he's surprised by criticism of plans for a large memorial event this month to honour victims of the Lapu Lapu festival attack, which a Filipino advocacy group says was arranged without proper consultation. Filipino BC says it wasn't told in advance about a vote approving the event by the city council on Tuesday, and the city should be prioritizing emergency recovery funding for those affected by the April 26 tragedy in which 11 people were killed and dozens hurt. The motion, brought by Coun. Sarah Kirby-Yung, outlines an event called 'Come Together; Vancouver Strong' at Rogers Arena in June, but no specific date has been set. Sim says in a statement Wednesday that his office was surprised by Filipino BC's criticism given what he calls 'ongoing and regular communication' with the organization. He says there was a meeting with Filipino BC on Friday, attended by its executive director, where the memorial event was discussed. Sim says his office has reached out to Filipino BC to seek clarification and reaffirm a shared commitment to ensuring the event is done with the community. Kirby-Yung had told the council meeting the Filipino community had been working with the mayor's office and was comfortable with the event. Filipino BC said in its statement issued later Tuesday that 'the timing, tone and format of such an event should be aligned with victims and the communities impacted.' 'While we understand the city's desire to create space for collective mourning and healing, it is critical that this process centres the voices of the families and affected communities,' it said. Kirby-Yung said she was advised by the mayor's office to bring the motion forward, on behalf of B.C. MLA Mable Elmore and that Filipino BC was engaged in the plans. Councillors Peter Fry and Lucy Maloney had questioned whether the Filipino community was aware of the motion, but it ultimately passed unanimously. Elmore — who is of Filipino heritage and was at the Lapu Lapu Festival when the attack took place — issued a statement on Wednesday saying the event that she described as a benefit concert 'is a welcome step toward healing.' 'Mayor Sim, his staff, Filipino BC, and other stakeholders have been present at the table and working together to prepare for 'Come Together: Vancouver Strong,' Elmore said. Dilly Dally the sea turtle returns to the ocean after flipper amputation

JUNO BEACH, Fla. (AP) — An adolescent loggerhead sea turtle named Dilly Dally crawled into the Atlantic Ocean Wednesday morning, months after having a front flipper amputated at a Florida turtle hospital. The turtle was brought to Loggerhead Marinelife Center in January suffering from predator wounds to the front flipper. The veterinary crew at the Juno Beach facility assisted in Dilly Dally's rehabilitation and care. 'Every time we can release a turtle back into the wild is special and not just for us but for all the interns and volunteers and everyone that puts an effort to getting these turtles back out there. It's always a really special day,' said Marika Weber, a veterinary technician at the center. Stormy weather on Wednesday almost caused Dilly Dally's release to be postponed. But they packed the turtle up and drove the short distance to the beach. A crowd of beachgoers cheered as the turtle made its way to the ocean. A satellite tracking device attached to Dilly Dally's shell will allow the center and the public to follow her journey. The center partnered with the Smithsonian to get the satellite tag, which was attached on Tuesday. 'So now Dilly Dally has an active live satellite tag on her and we can get real-time data on where she goes, which is really exciting because we don't really know what happens to our three flipper turtles once you release them, Weber said. 'Now we know if their migration or foraging patterns change and it'll be really helpful to see what happens to these patients.' All sea turtles are endangered or threatened species. 'So every sea turtle that we can save and get back out there is the win for the species.'
