Mount Kilimanjaro erupts late on to land Dee Stakes success
Mount Kilimanjaro came from the clouds to provide Aidan O'Brien with yet another win in the Boodles Raindance Dee Stakes at Chester.
O'Brien is now the leading trainer in the race's history, and this was his seventh win in eight renewals.
While none of his winners have gone on to follow up at Epsom, this son of Siyouni is now a general 20-1 chance for the blue riband Classic.
As Great David came over from a wide draw to lead the field at a strong pace, Ryan Moore was some way off the gallop.
He looked to have a mountain to climb as they turned into the straight, with High Stock taking over at the head of affairs, but the even-money favourite got going late on to win by a neck.

Paul Smith, son of co-owner Derrick, said: 'It was a great ride by Ryan, he was very patient. I think the pace was very honest and Ryan didn't panic and the horse quickened up well and showed a nice attitude.
'As we've always said, they learn so much here – it's almost like they have two races in one. He'll come forward again from this, so we're delighted with him.
'I think he'll go for a Derby of some sorts, either Epsom or the French Derby was mentioned as well. There's options for him and we'll just see how the trials go and juggle them and see where they all go.'
Coolmore representative Kevin Buckley said: 'I thought this fella showed a great turn of foot and I suppose it gives us the option of either going to Epsom or going to France with him.
'It was a good performance and Ryan was very complimentary. I was impressed and it makes it a record of Dee Stakes wins for Aidan with 12.'
O'Brien, speaking from his Ballydoyle stables, said: 'Ryan gave him a great ride.
'We always thought a mile and a quarter would suit him well. Earlier on in the year our plan was to run him in Dubai in their Derby.
'That was why we ran him at Dundalk when we did, but it was all coming too quickly so he didn't go, he just got tired in Dundalk and that is why he hasn't run since then.
'He's very comfortable at 10 furlongs, that is as far as he's been today on the grass, but when he ran in France last year behind Twain on heavy ground over a mile he looked like he was getting the trip well, so there's every chance he could get further.
'I think it will either be France or Epsom with him, there's still a lot than can happen over the next few days.'

Beckett also fielded Dante winner Pride Of Arras, who went off second-favourite but only beat one home. 'He was very disappointing. He was a little bit keen up the hill and came down the hill like an ostrich on ice,' Beckett told Racing TV. 'He's come out of it well and we'll go again. I'd be keen to go to the Irish Derby, as I think that will suit him.' Last year's Irish Oaks winner You Got To Me, bought by Amo Racing for 4,800,000 guineas, was another disappointment in the Coronation Cup and her future appears to be on temporary hold. 'I'm not sure about her, the way she's come out of the race, which is well, I'm not sure about anything with her at the moment, I'll have to do a bit more digging,' said Beckett.

Connections opt to miss French Oaks with Falakeyah
Despite working well on Tuesday morning, Burrows felt the French Classic at Chantilly was just coming at the wrong time for his unbeaten three-year-old, who needs a little longer to recuperate. Having bypassed the Oaks at Epsom to wait for France, her third Group One option of three after she won on her comeback at Newmarket was the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot. However, should connections decide on coming back to a mile next week, she would need to be supplemented. Angus Gold, racing manager for the filly's owners, Shadwell, said: 'She scoped dirty 10 days ago. 'We treated her and worked her this morning, she worked beautifully, we were all very happy, but Owen just said she had a decent blow having missed a crucial bit of work. 'It is hard enough to win a Classic when you are 110 per cent so we're not going to risk running her. 'We haven't got as far as discussing the next plan yet, but she won't be going to France, it's just bad timing.'
