Senior Sophie Schiller notched a hat trick to lead the Hanover offense and junior Jameson Bryan added a goal, but the Hawks struggled to keep pace with the Clippers, who received strong goaltending from junior Cody Saboliauskas (8 saves).
'She's awesome,' Newburyport coach Cat Batchelder said of Saboliauskas. 'Our defense did a good job of denying shots and forcing shots that she could save.'
Linteris finished with two goals and an assist, Blaire Fox added a goal, and Amelia Price had two assists.
After capturing the D3 state title with a 13-10 win over Norwell to cap off their sophomore seasons, Bromby and Tahnk are hopeful to return to the final to avenge last year's 14-10 loss to Medfield.

Clippers Named Potential Trade Suitor for Celtics' Derrick White
Clippers Named Potential Trade Suitor for Celtics' Derrick White originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Los Angeles Clippers have already been the subject of a report suggesting they would be interested in pursuing a guard from the Boston Celtics this offseason. Advertisement The guard in that report was Jrue Holiday, who could end up on the trade block as the Celtics try to reshape their roster for a season without Jayson Tatum. Now it seems there is another guard from the Celtics' roster who could also be of interested to the Clippers. Los Angeles Clippers coach Tyronn LueRobert Edwards-Imagn Images During a recent appearance on the Third Apron Podcast, CBS Sports' Sam Quinn said that the Clippers would make sense as a trade suitor for Celtics guard Derrick White. When the report came out about the Clippers being interested in Jrue Holiday, I wrote about why I didn't like that move. I would like this move a whole lot more for the Clippers. Advertisement While Holiday's talents mostly come on one end of the floor, White could help the Clippers on both ends. He is a strong defender, having earned All-Defensive honors in two of the last three seasons. He'd also give the Clippers another dependable option on offense. He averaged 16.4 points and 4.8 assists per game this past season. His three-point shooting would give the Clippers a boost in another area where they need it. He knocked down 3.5 threes per game this past season while shooting 38.4% from behind the arc. Meanwhile, the Clippers were near the bottom of the league in both three point attempts and made threes. Advertisement White wouldn't be a cheap option. He carries a $28.1 million cap hit into next season and it escalates each year after. He'd also require the Clippers to part with a decent amount of the little remaining draft capital they have available. Still, he'd be worth the price as a great fit to play alongside James Harden in the Clippers' backcourt. Report Reveals Clippers are Planning to Use Mid-Level Exception On a Backup Center and Backup Guard
Report Reveals Clippers are Planning to Use Mid-Level Exception On a Backup Center and Backup Guard originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Los Angeles Clippers have a lot they need to address this offseason if they're going to take another run at trying to join the elite of the Western Conference next season. Advertisement With limited cap space and just a couple of tradable picks and a few movable players, they may need to get creative to ensure they get their roster where it needs to be. A recent report has revealed one way they're planning to make sure they are able to fill every one of their needs this offseason. Los Angeles Clippers logoKirby Lee-Imagn Images According to Hoops Hype's Michael Scotto, the Clippers are planning to use the non-tax payer mid-level exception to land both a backup center and backup point guard. Scotto also mentioned that the Clippers are specifically looking for a center who can protect the rim. With the MLE being worth just $14.1 million, that doesn't give them many options who fit that description, but there are some out there. Advertisement Steven Adams is a name that has come up previously. Andre Drummond could take on that role if he turns down his player option with the 76ers. Kevon Looney could also be of interest if he leaves Golden State for the first time in his career. One of the big problems the Clippers faced during the 2024-25 season was a lack of depth. They had no size in the frontcourt behind Ivica Zubac and didn't have a ton to work with in the backcourt when James Harden and Norman Powell came off the floor. If the Clippers can address both of these needs with the MLE, it frees them up to use their remaining assets to try and get themselves some more talent in the starting lineup. Advertisement That would be a best-case scenario for them as they try to keep up in a tough West. Chris Paul's Latest Comments Could Indicate He Wants to Return to Clippers
Chris Paul's Latest Comments Could Indicate He Wants to Return to Clippers originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The Los Angeles Clippers are expected to be in the market for multiple guards to join their rotation for the 2025-26 offseason. Advertisement They need somebody they can reliably start alongside James Harden and also need some depth in the backcourt after being thin across their roster this past season. While it still isn't clear who the answer will be to join their starting lineup, there could be a very familiar face interested in being that depth option for them. Former Los Angeles Clippers guard Chris PaulKelvin Kuo-Imagn Images During an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Chris Paul was asked about how he's going about making a decision on his NBA future. Paul told McAfee that the conversation is with his family more than anything and he wants to "be dad". Despite Paul having spent the recent seasons of his career with the Suns, Warriors, and Spurs, his family still lives in Los Angeles. Advertisement That could mean he would be interested in returning to the Clippers, who he previously spent six seasons with as a part of their "Lob City" squads. During that time, Paul averaged 18.8 points, 9.8 assists, and 2.2 steals per game. He earned All-Defensive honors in each of those six seasons, five All-Star spots, All-NBA honors five times, and finished third in the MVP voting once. One big caveat here is that there is also another relevant team in LA and Paul tried to join them before heading to the Clippers. However, the most of the Lakers' point guard minutes go to Luka Doncic and they already have Gabe Vincent coming off the bench. He's a better fit for the Clippers right now and if he wants to return to LA to finish his career, they'd probably be happy to have him back on the roster.
