Once the initial beta period ends, Adobe might hide some of the features it deems 'premium' behind a paywall. In the meantime, here are all the features that are now available in the beta version of Photoshop for Android:
Combine and blend images using core Photoshop tools like selections, layers, and masks
Quickly remove or replace parts of an image with the intuitive Tap Select tool
Brush away distractions in seconds using tools like the Spot Healing Brush
Use Firefly-powered generative AI features like Generative Fill to effortlessly add or transform elements in visual designs

Make accurate selections with Object Select and Magic Wand
Refine images with advanced tools like Remove and Clone Stamp
Control layers and effects with advanced blend modes and adjustment layers

The mobile version of Photoshop debuted back in February on iOS , and today, Adobe announced it's now available on Android.However, unliked the iOS version, the Android app remains in beta. This version of Photoshop will begin to roll out today and is available for free on the Google Play Store.If you're an Android fan like millions of other phone owners and plan to download and install Photoshop , you'll be happy to know that the beta version includes the app's iconic image editing and design capabilities, including tools like layering, masking, as well as Firefly-powered Generative Fill.For those who have been using Photoshop for a long time on desktop, it might come as a surprise that all the features available in the Android app are free to use with no limitations. It's absurd that Sony expects this marketing strategy to work
The Sony Xperia 1 VII is out and costs €1,499 in Europe. Sorry, no release in the USA, but if you want a quick conversion — that price tag is a bit above the iPhone 16 Pro Max and Galaxy S25 Ultra in a big ask, so does the Xperia 1 VII deliver? Well, we already reviewed it, and while we find it to be a well-performing handset with a grippy feel and a design that will definitely be liked by many, it just doesn't have enough of an oomph. The software is just a clean Android with no bells or AI (though, Sony claims certain things to be AI-enhanced), the performance is stable but not awe-inspiring, and the cameras are… Well, not on order to sweeten the pot, or make that €1,499 price-tag go down easier, the Xperia 1 VII is actually bundled with a Sony WH-1000XM5 headset. Yes, an XM5, not even the newer proudly states that you are saving €299 on the purchase. Literally losing money unless you grab that deal!And look, while the Sony WH-1000XM5 is an excellent pair of headphones and I like it very, very much, the fact that the Xperia 1 VII comes in this forced bundle is just absurd. Is Sony only looking to sell to customers that are looking to buy a flagship phone and a set of premium headphones as well?This would be like Apple selling the iPhone 17 Pro Max only as a bundle with the AirPods Max, for the low-low price of $1,700 (hopefully, Apple is not getting any ideas here).And yes, I've seen some dedicated Sony fans post that you can 'Easily buy the Xperia 1 VII and sell the WH-1000XM5 to make €200 back', but I hope we can see how absurd this sounds. Right?Oh, to top it off — this bundle is only available in major markets. If history repeats itself like it did with the Xperia 1 VI — when the Xperia 1 VII launches in secondary territories, they will get the phone at full price, with no headset to speak of. This just rubs extra salt in the wound.I read a quote once, it was from another tech reviewer, maybe in a tweet. Sorry I can't attribute it, as I have long forgotten who it was from, but the quote rings true to this day. 'Sony phones look and behave like you should buy them just because they are Sony'.Slapping the Bravia logo inside the software, promising Sony Alpha expertise for the camera, and 360 Reality Audio upscaling for music sounds impressive on paper. But you have to execute flawlessly on those points to even think about approaching that €1,499 then, there's the question of investment and long term viability. Sony now promises 4 years of Android updates and 6 years of security patches, which is OK, not great. Samsung and Google commit to 7 years of Android builds, which is much, much better. Then, there is the question of how quick Sony will be with deploying these updates — historically, it hasn't been very the Xperia phones are struggling to get some mainstream attention. Some believe this is due to lack of marketing, but the reality is that even positive word of mouth or glowing reviews would've done the trick. No, the Xperia team needs to rethink the value offer here. It's certainly not about a pair of headphones! Now that's a camera phone Smartphone companies that started off with simple 'flagship killer' products, such as Xiaomi and Vivo, now offer 'Photography kit' phones with lenses, hardware grips, and extra buttons that truly make you feel like you are holding a smartphone-camera hybrid. Meanwhile, Sony — a camera behemoth — is trying to get by with a tiny camera module that can do a sub-par optical zoom. That's… not a good look.

New report reveals even more info on Google's 'official' Pixel 10 series colors
Expected out in the second half of August... after all, the Pixel 10 , Pixel 10 Pro , Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold are in many ways as transparent as glass already. But some key details and characteristics are still either unknown or not completely clear, with various tipsters, for instance, clashing on things like color options. Ultra Blue, Limoncello, Iris, Midnight - Pixel 10 ; ; Sterling Gray, Light Porcelain, Midnight, Smoky Green - Pixel 10 Pro ; ; Sterling Gray, Light Porcelain, Midnight, Smoky Green - Pixel 10 Pro XL; XL; Sterling Gray, Smoky Green - Pixel 10 Pro Fold . If that previous leak made you excited about the swanky-sounding Limoncello flavor of the "vanilla" Pixel 10 , this new rumor practically etches that shade of yellow in stone along with an Iris hue borrowed from this year's Pixel 9a mid-ranger, a Midnight paint job undoubtedly set to replace Google's signature Obsidian, and an "Ultra Blue" colorway that decidedly piques my interest with its very cool name. The Pixel 10 will share an Iris flavor with the Pixel 9a. | Image Credit -- Google Make no mistake, these are almost definitely the official marketing labels of all those color options, and according to the existing inside information, Ultra Blue is "like a royal blue" hue, Limoncello is a "mid-tone color", and Midnight comes closer to a dark gray shade than black. Obsidian (aka black) is apparently out of the equation for the Pixel 10 Pro and 10 Pro XL as well, and perhaps even more surprisingly, another signature Google colorway is expected to be replaced with a lighter version. "Light Porcelain" will purportedly take a "more off-white" approach compared to the classic Porcelain paint job, while Sterling Gray is unsurprisingly set to sit at a lighter position than the aforementioned dark gray Midnight hue. Smoky Green, meanwhile, is described as a "darker green" color, apparently being one of only two flavors the Pixel 10 Pro Fold will be released in at the end of August. What's certainly interesting about the Pixel 10 family is that the smallest member will feature no less than three unique colorways, which strongly suggests that Google expects that model to eclipse its bigger and costlier brothers in terms of global sales. Probably not. After all, this is not Samsung, and Google doesn't exactly have a habit of releasing limited editions of its in-house smartphones in special colors through its website. These are almost surely all the Pixel 10 , 10 Pro, 10 Pro XL, and 10 Pro Fold paint jobs, which means that shades like Wintergreen, Peony, Rose Quartz, and Hazel are also not happening in addition to Obsidian and Porcelain. Wintergreen is just one of several Pixel 9 hues set to go away this year. | Image Credit -- PhoneArena That's a lot of change from one generation to the next, but I'm pretty certain many of you would prefer to see other specs and features revised and upgraded. While the "regular" Pixel 10 is likely to add a third telephoto sensor to the Pixel 9's dual rear-facing camera setup, the Pixel 10 Pro , 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold could more or less retain the key characteristics of their respective predecessors. Of course, a jump from a Tensor G4 to a vastly improved Tensor G5 processor is all but guaranteed for the entire Pixel 10 series, but other than that, you should probably not expect any substantial under-the-hood changes or enhancements.

Entire Google Pixel 10 lineup's colors leak
According to a fresh new leak, the Google Pixel 10 will be offered in four colorways: Ultra Blue, Limoncello, Iris, and Midnight. The Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL will both get Sterling Gray, Light Porcelain, Midnight, and Smoky Green, and the Pixel 10 Pro Fold will be sold in Sterling Gray and Smoky Green only. As you could definitely tell if you're a Pixel colorway naming connoisseur, Midnight is replacing Obsidian as the closest thing to black in the lineup - but it is said to be lighter than Obsidian was. So think of it more as a dark gray (with Sterling Gray being lighter gray) rather than black-ish. Ultra Blue is like "royal blue", Iris is the same color used in the Pixel 9a, Limoncello is "a mid-tone color", whatever that means, Light Porcelain is "a bit more off-white" versus the Porcelain (sans "Light") Google's used before, and Smoky Green is a dark green hue. The Pixel 10 series has most recently been rumored to be unveiled on August 20, which is also when pre-orders are apparently due to start. Shipping as well as in-store availability is to follow on August 28. Naturally, all four of these devices should launch running Android 16, which Google plans on releasing this month. Source
