Although no official confirmation regarding the UGC NET 2025 June exam timetable has been made yet, the timetable is likely to be released soon as the exams are tentatively scheduled to begin on June 21. Based on past trends, it is anticipated that the NTA will release the detailed exam dates by the end of this week.
Usually, the NTA releases the UGC NET exam timetable approximately 15 days before the examination. For instance, in 2024, the UGC NET December session commenced on January 3, 2025, and the schedule was released on December 19, 2024. Since the June 2025 exams are expected to begin on June 21, candidates can likely expect the NTA to release the examination timetable within this week.
Each question is worth two marks, and there is no negative marking for incorrect answers.
The UGC NET is conducted twice annually for candidates aspiring to qualify for roles as Assistant Professors, obtain a Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), or pursue PhD programmes at universities and colleges across India.

UGC NET June 2025 exam: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has revised the exam dates for the UGC NET 2025 June session and released the subject-wise schedule for the NTA UGC NET 2025 June session on its official website According to the official release, the exam will begin on 25 June 2025 and will conclude on 29 June 2025. Paper 1 will comprise 100-mark questions, and Paper II will comprise 200-mark questions. Except for language papers, the medium of the Question Paper shall be English and Hindi only. According to the latest notice, the UGC NET will be held between June 25 and June 29, 2025, across two sessions each day. Madras High Court rejects NEET UG 2025 re-exam plea, upholds result announcement
The Madras High Court has cleared the way for the NEET UG 2025 result to be declared, after dismissing a set of petitions demanding a re-exam.
