How furious is All-Pro edge rusher Trey Hendrickson regarding his going-nowhere contract negotiations with the Cincinnati Bengals?

Furious enough to follow through with his pledge to avoid coming to work until a new deal is forged.
Hendrickson has recorded over 17 sacks in each of the last two seasons. He has been Cincinnati's best defensive player and a key cog in the locker room over the years including their run to Super Bowl LVI.
And he wants to be newly compensated for that.
Despite his success, Cincinnati has been silent in negotiating a potential long-term deal with the star. And after many public comments surrounding his displeasure, Hendrickson is continuing to push for support. ... with this latest push manifesting itself in him staying away from the Tuesday start of mandatory minicamp.

'If I sat here with four sacks, they'd want a pay cut and some money back. ... I'm not going to apologize for the rates being paid to defensive ends in the National Football League," Hendrickson recently said.
Hendrickson, it can be argued, is correct. In the short shelf-life that is the NFL, players lose money all the time due to injuries. Whenever there is a chance to collect a massive contract, players need to do whatever they can to get it.
On the other hand, critics of his position argue that he is already under contract.
And that is also correct.
The Bengals and Hendrickson have explored the idea of a trade; not much has come of that.

We hear he's seeking $30 million per year, and again, that is hardly outrageous even though he's now 30 years old.
Meanwhile, h ays he simply won't play for Cincy under the terms of his current deal.
So Hendrickson might sit out the entire NFL season?
That seems unlikely. But he has taken his next big step directed at Bengals HQ ... by today not showing up to Bengals HQ.
