Knicks vs. Pacers: Indiana finishes off New York to reach first NBA Finals since 2000
It will be the Indiana Pacers against the Oklahoma City Thunder in the 2025 NBA Finals.
The Pacers polished off the New York Knicks on Saturday, winning 125-108 in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference finals after a third-quarter rally. It will be their first NBA Finals appearance since 2000, back when Reggie Miller and Jalen Rose starred while Larry Bird coached.

Game 1 of Pacers-Thunder is scheduled for Thursday in Oklahoma City (8:30 p.m. ET, ABC).
The Pacers entered Gainbridge Fieldhouse decked out in all black, a shot at the Knicks doing the same last year, and fulfilled their promise of a funeral. They shot lights out, going 17 of 33 (51.5%) from 3-point range, and punished nearly all of the Knicks' mistakes, with 34 points off 17 turnovers.
The Indiana offense was once again a beautiful machine, continuing a postseason in which the Pacers have outraced the Milwaukee Bucks, Cleveland Cavaliers and now the Knicks. The epic comebacks will be better remembered, but it's the Pacers' ability to explode at any moment that has made them so different. It's what happened in the third quarter, when the team jumped out to a 16-point lead they never relinquished.

Pascal Siakam led all scorers with 31 points on 10-of-18 shooting with five rebounds and three assists, while Tyrese Haliburton shook off a slow first quarter for 21 points and 13 assists. The Pacers' biggest two-way impact came from Andrew Nembhard, who had 14 points, 8 assists and 6 steals.

Thunder heavily favored over Pacers in NBA Finals
As good as the Pacers looked in this series, sportsbooks are taking the other team by a significant margin.
The Thunder opened as -800 favorites (bet $800 to win $100) at BetMGM to win their first title in OKC.

Pascal Siakam tops Tyrese Haliburton for East finals MVP
Haliburton might be the breakout star of this postseason, but it was Siakam who was named Eastern Conference finals MVP after Game 6. He beat out Haliburton five votes to four.
Siakam torched the Knicks in Games 2, 4 and 6, playing a key role in every Pacers win after their miracle comeback in Game 1.
The Pacers acquired Siakam in a blockbuster trade with the Toronto Raptors in January 2024, with the hope that a star big man with postseason bona fides would give them a championship core. So far, so good.
Pacers' win wasn't without injury
The Pacers have reached the NBA Finals, but it's another question whether they will be 100% for Game 1.

Jarace Walker and Aaron Nesmith both left the game with injuries in the fourth quarter. Walker had to be helped to the locker room after appearing to severely sprain his ankle, then Nesmith left minutes later after an ugly collision with Karl-Anthony Towns.
Nesmith would be the bigger loss if he's not ready for Game 1 of the Finals. He was Indiana's hero in Game 1 of the conference finals and has overall been enjoying a breakout postseason as a member of the Pacers starting lineup. Fortunately, he and Walker have five days of rest now.

Who's The Next Phillies Prospect To Get The Call? Maybe Justin Crawford

More Photos via Getty Images) It looks like the Phillies are ready to dig into their farm system after calling up pitching prospects, Mick Abel and Seth Johnson, on Sunday. Abel, who aced his audition on May 18 with six-shutout innings against the Pirates in a spot start, will get slotted into the rotation while Johnson could get high-leverage innings for a depleted bullpen that's gasping after losing Jose Alvarado to an 80-game PED suspension. So who will be the next Phillies prospect to get the call? How about Justin Crawford? The 21-year-old kid is peaking right now. In his last 21 games, Crawford is hitting .363 with 11 stolen bases. And overall against advanced pitching at Triple-A this season, he boasts a .338 average with 20 swiped bags while playing supreme defense in the outfield. Check out this sliding beaut: Crawford's skeptics, however, will point to an elevated ground-ball rate (63.8%) and his next-to-nil power (only one home run) as reasons to leave him in the minors. But Crawford, a former first-round pick in 2022, is hardly the second-coming of slap-hitting Juan Pierre. His line-drive rate at 22.7% is the highest of his minor-league career, and his max-exit velocity (110.7 mph) tops that of Phillies centerfielder Brandon Marsh (108.2 mph) for the season. In 2025, another facet to Crawford's game is evolving: his patience at the plate. He's walking 10.7% of the time, up from 6.1% against Double-A pitching last year, boosting his on-base percentage to an elite level at .407. Yes, it's a simple equation: Crawford's superior on-base skills + his blazing speed = immense value for the Phillies. Especially considering that Phils' outfielders are providing so little offense. There is a blockade to Crawford's promotion: The team has not one but two centerfielders in the Marsh-Johan Rojas platoon. Phillies president of baseball operations Dave Dombrowski must know neither Marsh nor Rojas is the answer in center and that Crawford could eliminate the need for a CF platoon if his unbelievable splits carry over to the big leagues. The left-handed-hitting Crawford is batting .306 against right-handers and .455 against lefties this season. And the kid uses all fields; check out this opposite-field flare: For the immediate future, it seems that only an injury to an outfielder would initiate Crawford's call-up. Or they could possibly demote reserve OF Weston Wilson to clear space for Crawford, but that probably won't happen because Wilson is one of the few right-handed hitters on the bench. But the Phillies are skidding, losing four in a row. And Dombrowski may figure out a way to get Crawford on the big club. When Phils called up Abel and Johnson, it's obvious the team wants to infuse the pitching ranks with some youth. And if they're looking to do the same with the lineup, it's easy to see the next move: Call up Crawford to provide a spark.

Pacers' reserve big Jarace Walker out at least first two games of NBA Finals due to right ankle injury
Just about everything went right for Indiana in its series-clinching Game 6 win against New York Saturday night. The one thing that didn't: reserve big man Jarace Walker had to be helped off the court following a gruesome ankle injury at the start of the fourth quarter. Unsurprisingly, he will be out for at least the first two games of the NBA Finals, Pacers coach Rick Carlisle said on 107.5 The Fan on Monday. Rick Carlisle on @MorningShow1075: Jarace Walker (ankle) will miss at least the first two games of the NBA Finals. Game 3 is Wednesday (June 11th). That means the earliest he could return is at home for Game 3 on June 11. However, after witnessing the injury, it would not be a surprise if Walker misses more time than that. Walker's absence does not impact Indiana's core big-man rotation. Against the Knicks he only got on the court in Games 5 and 6, playing a total of 20 minutes. Stil, it sucks for Walker personally and takes one lineup tweak Carlisle could use off the board. The NBA Finals begin Thursday in Oklahoma City.
