But Prem clubs may find things more difficult next season, depending on the draw.
Three English teams are in Pot 1, which is based on their Uefa coefficient score - Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea.
They will each have to play two fellow Pot 1 teams, and cannot face a club from the same country.
The toughest league phase opponents from Pot 1 would perhaps be Real Madrid and Barcelona, though Paris Saint-Germain made this year's final.

According to the coefficient rankings, the two best non-English teams in Pot 1 are Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.
Every team in the league phase must face TWO teams from each pot - so any one of Liverpool, City, Arsenal, Newcastle, Chelsea or Spurs could face a trip to the Bernabeu and to Munich.
Pot 2 also throws up some potentially tricky opponents for Prem teams; clubs with European pedigree such as Juventus and Atletico Madrid could be drawn or those with more recent success, such as Bayer Leverkusen and Atalanta.
While Pot 3 includes recently crowned Serie A champions Napoli, along with Sporting and PSV Eindhoven.

Pot 4, which Newcastle belong to as the sole English club, could throw up Turkish champions Galatasary and the kings of Scots, Celtic, although they will need to progress through the qualifying stages.
Non-English clubs could face an even tougher draw however, playing two Prem teams each because of the rules preventing sides playing their fellow compatriots.

Lots of players have made the move from the Premier League to Serie A in recent years and performed very well. That's why the idea of such a switch excites both the player and Inter.' Away from Inter, Barcelona have also been credited with an interest in Rashford. Sporting director Deco was recently asked about a potential move but claimed work needed to be done behind the scenes before the Catalan side could consider adding new signings to their squad. 'We have been focusing on renewing contracts, after that, we'll discuss players to come," Deco said to BBC Sport. "Of course, these two players [Rashford and Luis Diaz], like you mentioned, they are good but have contracts in their clubs, so we won't speak because it's not fair. 'But when you decide to go to the market, for sure, we find some names. In my opinion, we don't need to bring many players. When I speak with the agents of the players, everyone wants to come or stay. 'So this is important. The image of the club is still good. We are proud because Barcelona is still such a big club, and the way we are playing football makes players want to come."

Russell Martin looks set to win race to become new Rangers head coach
The former Rangers and Scotland defender was reported to be finalising personal terms after accepting the position, which became vacant in February when Philippe Clement was sacked. The apparently imminent appointment is the latest in a series of major developments at Ibrox. An American consortium led by Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises secured a majority shareholding on Friday and new sporting director Kevin Thelwell officially began work on Monday. Thelwell stated on his first day that the recruitment of a new head coach would come to a conclusion 'in the coming days'. Outgoing Real Madrid assistant manager Davide Ancelotti and former Rangers boss Steven Gerrard – who reportedly pulled out of the running – were also among the leading candidates. Martin has been without a club since being sacked by Southampton in December after a 5-0 home defeat to Tottenham left Saints bottom of the Premier League on five points after 16 matches. The 39-year-old had secured promotion in his first season in charge thanks to a Championship play-off final win against Leeds.
