'Our members told us that they struggle to access live music, with queueing systems and ticket drops clashing with shift patterns.
'For so many in our community, live events are more than just entertainment, it's that let-your-hair-down feeling after a string of long days and demanding shifts.'

Former EastEnders star Anita Dobson ‘utterly thrilled' after being made OBE
The 76-year old London-born actress, best known for playing Queen Vic landlady Angie Watts on the BBC soap, was recognised for services to charitable fundraising and philanthropy. Dobson is a patron for several charities including Thames Hospice and Focus Foundation, which provides support for grassroots charities and local organisations. Speaking about the OBE, she told the PA news agency: 'I'm utterly thrilled and completely honoured and a bit bowled over and very excited. And all my friends have been texting and sending support. It's just been wonderful. It's very moving and I'm thrilled. 'It's not like a little one, where a few of people in the world know – everybody knows. And so it feels like you you're having a big hug. 'My face is so stretched you can't believe it. This is a very happy day and I just feel very lucky and people have just been texting in and being so supportive and so lovely. 'I hope everybody that's got an honour from the honours list has the same thing happening to them, that lots of people are making them feel special. Because I sure am.' The actress is an ambassador for the Sick Children's Trust and a former president of Phab, a charity that helps children and adults with and without disabilities to feel independent and confident. Speaking about her motivation to get involved with charities, she said: 'I think it's really important to, particularly in my industry, to pass things on. To pass anything that you've learned along the way, or little hints you can give on to the next generation. 'I've always felt like that you should help people. And there's a lot of people with nothing now, with no hope, no homes to live in, not much food, not much clothing. So if you've got a lot, then it doesn't hurt, does it, to give a bit of it away and share it and make people's lives a little bit better, really? 'I sort of work on a very kind of basic level. I just think, if someone's in trouble, you help them. 'I had nothing when I was younger, and it's been the hard slog getting to anywheresville, and look where I am now. It's a good feeling to pass things on. 'I do lots of phoners where people ring in and they're in trouble and maybe you can't solve their problems, but you can sure as hell help them feel heard and that they matter, and that there is somebody in the world who has got the time to listen to them and maybe give them some advice that might point them in the right direction, or introduce them to somebody else who can help them in a better way than you can.' Dobson recently reprised her role as Angie for EastEnders' 40th anniversary, appearing in the Queen Vic as a ghost while her adopted daughter, Sharon Watts, played by Letitia Dean, was seen fighting for her life after an explosion in the pub. The shock return won the series the scene of the year gong at the 2025 British Soap Awards. She also played mysterious character Mrs Flood in the long-running BBC sci-fi series Doctor Who, having joined the series on Christmas Day 2023. During Ncuti Gatwa's second season as the Time Lord, it was revealed that Mrs Flood was a disguised incarnation of the Rani, a renegade Time Lady and villain. She added: 'I had a lovely message from Russell T Davis (Doctor Who Showrunner) this morning saying congratulations, which is lovely. We'll see what happens in the future, or whenever. 'I just have had a lovely time working for them. It's been a real blast. Russell said to me, come and have some fun. And I did. I just had fun. It was a real gift of a job.' The actress is also known for her stage performances and in 2003 was nominated for the best actress Olivier Award for her role in Bryony Lavery's Frozen at the National Theatre Cottesloe. Dobson was a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing with professional Robin Windsor in 2011, but was voted off after nine weeks. Born in 1949 in the east end of London, the actress has been married to Queen guitarist Sir Brian May since 2000.

Woman who lives in Spain says there's 'weird' difference she'll 'never' get
Marta Budzyska moved to Madrid in 2022 after having lived and studied in Italy for years - but there's one thing she just can't get her head around when it comes to Spanish culture Spain remains a top holiday hotspot for UK sun-seekers, with a staggering 17.8 million visits from Brits in 2023. That year, Spain emerged as the favourite escape for British holidaymakers, commanding an impressive 21% of all overseas jaunts by those from the UK, according to stats from the Office for National Statistics. It's also believed that thousands of Brits each year also make the sunny Spanish shores their home. But having soaked up Spanish sun and culture beforehand doesn't necessarily mean that people looking to make the country their home won't come across a few surprises when moving to their new country. This was exactly what happened to Marta Budzyska, a Polish woman who moved to Madrid in 2022 after years of living and studying in Italy. Marta thought she was fully clued-up on Spanish and Mediterranean ways of living before moving to the Spanish capital. However she quickly encountered one aspect of daily life in Spain that continues to baffle her – and it has nothing to do with the sunshine. Marta turned to her TikTok account to share her major cultural shock since moving to Spain. "One thing that will never stop surprising me about Spain is that they go to eat so freaking late," Marta said in her video. She continued to explain that she'd gone out for dinner with friends the previous evening, but that their booking hadn't been until 10pm. Even then, people arrived more than half an hour late, which she said is a common occurrence in Spanish culture. "And you know you have to think about the order, gets some starters, the main meal. And literally it took so much time," she said, explaining that they were eating until midnight. "And I'm not complaining, it was so much fun, I love it," she said. "I love to live fully with another culture where I'm living or where I'm at, like at holidays. Spain is my home now, but like, that is just so funny and I think it'll never stop surprising me." Marta went on to advise tourists: "So if you go to Spain, just don't be necessarily on time. Stick [...] with easy and chill, it'll be better for you." People quickly took to the comments to share their own experiences, with many Spanish people relating to what Marta had to say. "As a Spanish this is so true haha," one viewer wrote. A second person said: "It's shocking haha. How do you even work the next day." A third person also confirmed that similar eating habits also existed in Italy, but that the times could differ between 8pm and 10pm depending on what area of the country you were visiting. Have you experienced eating dinner at a later time when you're on holiday? Let us know in the comments.

Major royals who missed out on coveted Trooping the Colour palace balcony spot
While King Charles took centre stage surrounded by senior working members of the royal family on the Buckingham Palace balcony at Trooping the Colour today, many notable royals were missing from the line up While most of the senior working members of the royal family took pride of place on the Palace balcony at Trooping the Colour today, others were notably absent from their coveted spot to watch the RAF flypast. King Charles was centre stage, with Queen Camilla by his side. Prince William and Princess Kate, along with their three children George, Charlotte and Louis, were also present on the balcony. Princess Anne, Prince Edward and Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh also made an appearance, alongside the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, Princess Anne's husband Vice-Admiral Sir Tim Laurence and the Duke of Kent. The royals who missed out on a spot on the balcony were Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie, Prince Andrew, Zara Tindall, James, the Earl of Wessex, who also weren't present on the balcony last year. Unsurprisingly, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were also left out of the Trooping celebrations. Lady Louise Windsor, the daughter of Prince Edward and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, was also mysteriously absent from this year's Trooping the Colour, despite her parents landing a spot on the balcony. While Lady Louise doesn't accompany her parents to all royal engagements, many believed she would be at this year's event, after being invited to the celebrations last year. As she is not a working royal and is currently studying at St Andrew's University in Scotland, she is not always seen at royal events, with her last public appearance with the family being during the annual Sandringham walkabout on Christmas Day last year. In years past, the late Queen Elizabeth would often invite the royal family at large to join her on the Buckingham Palace balcony for the RAF flypast, but that all changed for the return of the grand Trooping the Colour event in 2022, which coincided with the Platinum Jubilee celebrations. For the first time, the Queen decided to only invite working members of the royal family to the balcony, meaning both Harry and Meghan, along with Prince Andrew, were omitted from the royal line up. At the time, Buckingham Palace said the monarch's decision to only include royals carrying out official public duties was taken "after careful consideration". However, the Queen made an exception for one little-known, non-working royal - her son-in-law, Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence. Sir Tim is the husband of Princess Anne and is often at her side during her countless royal engagements. The palace said at the time that the Queen was happy for him to be on the balcony as he is a "frequent attendee and support for the Princess Royal on official engagements".
