Over the years, the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio, Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones have been spotted on the sunny island.
There have also been lots of British holidaymakers there like Kerry Katona, James Blunt, and Peter Andre - who has a strong connection to Cyprus that 20 years ago, he decided to build his own holiday home there.
In the city of Larnaca on the southeast coast of Cyprus, Peter has a villa with five bedrooms, a swimming pool and tennis court.
Talking to Sun Travel about his holiday home in Larnaca, Peter said: "The house is so beautiful and private. Obviously the smells, the foods, it reminds me of my childhood and my parents.

"I bought the land 20 odd years ago and I said 'dad, here's the money to build it' and my dad spent three years building the most beautiful house.
"It's very sentimental to us and the other thing is there are some amazing beaches with bright white sand."
As for where to go, Peter added: "I like to go to quiet places. I don't really like to go where it's crazily busy.
"The food there is amazing and we love the restaurants. For anyone going to Larnaca, I have three recommendations. One is a new restaurants called Theta in Perivolia which is very near the airport. It does Mediterranean food, but done in the style of a Dubai 5-star restaurant.
"We go there and we're like 'why doesn't anyone know about this place?'"
Peter also loves to go to a Japanese restaurant called Nippon.

He also added: "There's another one called Opa Souvlaki Kiti, it's not fancy, but if you want a proper Greek kebab done the Cypriot way, go there."
Peter stayed tight-lipped about the quiet beaches he and his family head to on holiday.
But some of the most popular across the island according to Tripadvisor are Nissi Beach, Fig Tree Bay Beach, Coral Bay and Makronissos Beach.
For anyone who fancies a trip over to Cyprus, you can even book a stay in Peter's Villa Amelia which is a short drive from Larnaca Airport.
Inside is five bedrooms, each one sleeping two people. The rooms have queen beds or single beds, and their own en suites.
The shared spaces include huge living area with two sets of sofas, as well as a separate dining and kitchen area.
Outside, there's lots of places to relax by the pool or battle it out in a game of tennis.

It's a great time to go to Larnaca too as TravelSupermarket revealed earlier this year that the city is cheaper this year compared to 2024.
Larnaca, a city on the southeast coast of Cyprus, has emerged as the holiday destination with the biggest price drop.
According to TravelSupermarket, the holiday comparison website, prices of a holiday to Larnaca have fallen by £495 per person.
The average price in 2024 was £1,292.04 and in 2025 is £797.97 - a 38 per cent decrease.
Flights from the UK take just over four hours and you can book flights with Ryanair from £34.99.
There's another place a little further afield that Peter described as 'a kids' paradise' - as he discovers the world's most child-friendly holiday destination.
And here's the Dubai-like spa hotel in the UK where Peter Andre and wife Emily go on child-free weekends.

Little-known rule in holiday hotspot could see Brits get slapped with £421 fines
Brits heading on summer holidays to the likes of Spain and Italy are being warned of a little-known rule that could actually see them face hefty fines in popular holiday hotspots If you're planning a summer holiday abroad, then you may want to consider packing an extra beach or poolside cover-up in your suitcase - or you could face a hefty fine. That's because over in Italy, tourists and locals are banned from wearing swimwear outside of beaches and pools. In holiday hotspots such as the Amalfi Coast and specifically Sorrento, anyone caught breaking this rule could end up having to pay a charge. Travel experts at have warned: "Despite the sunny weather, Italy has banned the wearing of swimwear outside of beaches and pools in a bid to uphold public decency and respect for locals. In the popular destinations of the Amalfi Coast and Sorrento, tourists caught breaking this rule can face fines of up to €500." It's worth noting that the rules also apply to anyone walking around the town topless. Of course, there are exceptions; for example, if you're at a beachclub or staying in a hotel with direct beach access, you're not going to be fined as you make your way back to your cabana or your room. The measures are in place for public spaces, and predominantly aimed at tourists who are wandering into the town and going to shops and restaurants without changing out of their swimwear. The rules aren't particularly new; in Sorrento, the swimwear ban has been in place since 2022. At the time, the town's then Mayor Coppola said the crackdown came because people walking around in bikinis or topless were "seen by the majority of people as contrary to decorum and to the decency that characterises civilised cohabitation". He added: "The continuation of this situation, as well as causing discomfort and unease in the resident population and among visitors, could lead to a negative judgment on the quality of life in our town, with consequences for its image and for tourism." It's not just in Italy where these types of regulations are in force. In the likes of Barcelona, people are also asked to stick to the beach if they want to wander around in swimwear, with fines of approximately £260 for rule-breakers. Meanwhile the island of Majorca also requests that people stick to beaches and pools, with fines of up to £500 for those who flout the regulations. Those aren't the only beach rules that Brits heading on Spain holidays should take note of. The Tiger team added: "In popular areas of Spain like Barcelona and Costa Blanca, tourists can now be fined €250 for reserving sunbeds, meaning waking up early to bag a spot for you and the family is no longer allowed. This rule was introduced following numerous complaints about sunbeds being reserved for hours with no one in sight." The rules came into force last year in a move to stop beachgoers from reserving spots with towels and sunbeds, only to leave them unoccupied for hours at a time. On already-crowded beaches, this only leaves others having to fight for space or giving up.

'I visited popular EU city and noticed obvious thing you'd never see in UK'
My second trip to the capital of France made me realise this one hilarious thing that could never be seen in London - and it's the art of minding in other people's business One thing that I love about travelling is learning about other cultures and lifestyles. In my last trip to Paris, I realised something that until this day is making me smile, and it's something that you wouldn't see in the UK. To add to the list of spontaneous activities, I went to Paris for the weekend. You'd think I wouldn't have been able to do much, but I actually did a lot. Since I had already been there, I wasn't really interested in seeing the tourist attractions. This trip was more about enjoying the sunshine and the Parisian atmosphere. As my friend and I were walking through the crowded streets, we realised that the majority of bars had their chairs facing the street. At first, I thought it was weird because I thought I was being watched by others. Turns out, that's the whole point and what makes a true Parisian-local experience. In Paris, and other European cities, people-watching is a thing, and it has been deeply integrated into their culture. It's basically sitting outside a café whilst sipping a drink and watching the world - and people - go by. As we sat to have a coffee in what they call a bistro café or a sidewalk café, we finally understood the joyous feeling of just seeing what other people were doing. It was so obvious, but it felt less 'creepy' because everyone else around us was doing the same. It was pure entertainment. Another thing that I realised is that life in France moves at a slower pace. What in London would be to grab a coffee and get on with your day, in Europe, you could sit on the terrace with your friends and talk for hours and hours without feeling like you've wasted your time. I've been living in London for over a decade, and I've never seen such a thing - and I don't think the UK is the type of 'people-watching'. Everyone always seems to be in a rush and barely have time to see what goes around them - let alone sit in a café for hours just to overhear other people's business. One thing about travelling is that you have to adapt yourself as to how people do things. What might be considered rude and uncomfortable in one country, it might not be in another. London and Paris have a lot of differences but also similarities. Nonetheless, I still think it's a fun activity to do. My main takeaway about this trip is that in France, people would rather be starred and feel their presence noticed, rather than ignored and not acknowledged - which makes total sense.
