Atlanta's FIFA Club World Cup matches kick off this week
The FIFA Club World Cup takes over Atlanta starting on Monday.
There will be six matches over the next three weeks at Mercedes-Benz Stadium featuring some of the biggest soccer clubs in the world.

Atlanta officials expect to draw thousands to the matches and use the FIFA Club World Cup as a trial run for the 2026 FIFA Men's World Cup.

Atlanta's World Cup Hosting Committee gave an update on its readiness last week. Chair Dan Corso thinks Atlanta is moving forward parking with soccer's international governing body.
'I mean, we are a big event city. We know how to work together. We know how to make things happen. But we also know that we're ready because we get great feedback from FIFA,' Corso said.

Club World Cup: Every confirmed squad ahead of tournament start
The inaugural summer Club World Cup is upon us, and teams have confirmed their squads for the expanded tournament. The event, taking place in the United States, gets underway on Sunday June 15, when Inter Miami take on Al-Ahly at Hard Rock Stadium in Florida. Real Madrid paid an additional fee to Liverpool to ensure that Trent Alexander-Arnold would be with them for the tournament, while Bayern Munich signed Jonathan Tah and Borussia Dortmund completed the signing of Jobe Bellingham. If Kompany's approach and Bayern's numbers align with the winger's ambitions, conversations may follow. What makes Williams worth it? Williams, lest we forget amid the spreadsheets and scouting reports, remains one of the most fearless runners in Europe.
