The Gray House to host 34th annual ‘Spaghetti Supper' in Springfield
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The Gray House is bringing back a family-friendly fundraiser that supports food and education programs.
The Gray House, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting low-income individuals and families, will host its 34th annual 'Spaghetti Supper' on Thursday, March 20, at the Greek Cultural Center on 8 Plainfield Street.
The event runs from 5 to 7 p.m., with all proceeds benefitting The Gray House's programs that provide food assistance, youth services, and adult education throughout the greater Springfield community. Tickets for the fundraiser are $7 for adults and $5 for children and seniors, covering a full spaghetti dinner, dessert, and activities for kids.
Attendees will also have the chance to purchase raffle tickets for a variety of prizes, including youth bicycles, a premium LEGO set, and a foursome to The Ranch Golf Club.
During the evening, The Gray House will recognize the Springfield Police Department's C3 North End Unit for their dedication to the neighbourhood and their ongoing support of The Gray House's mission. The unit is known for its community policing efforts, fostering strong relationships between law enforcement and residents.

Upper Hill Council opens new community space in Springfield
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – There's a new community space in the city of Springfield, and its grand opening was Tuesday. Taylor Swift-themed planetarium show 'Reputation: Under the Stars,' coming to Springfield Museums The space, located at 935 State Street, is on the American International College campus and across the street from the MLK Church. The Upper Hill Neighborhood Council says it is open to all residents, stakeholders, and community partners. The goal of the space is to better help address the needs of the surrounding area. Hours of operation for the new community space are yet to be determined. The Kid LAROI set to headline The Big E Fair in September
WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The Kid LAROI will be performing at The Big E Arena on September 26th. The Avett Brothers set to perform at the Big E in September The Big E States that the 21-year-old rapper, born Charlton Howard, was born and raised in Sydney, Australia, and grew up listening to Hip-Hop and R&B icons like Tupac, Erykah Badu, The Fugees, Lil Wayne, and Kanye West. He has been wanting to make music since he can remember, in hopes of claiming a spot within this American legacy. He earned respect after a competition in 2016 from industry executives and was able to perform alongside the late JuiceWRLD, THEY, and more. He recorded his debut EP 14 With a Dream in 2018 and watched standout 'Blessings' take off. 'It's really what I've always imagined… I always knew it was bigger than that,' LAROI said about his crossover success and finding an audience outside of Australia. After spending six of its 17 weeks at the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100, the song 'STAY' with Justin Bieber proved to him what was coming. 'I love everything I make. I take music super seriously, and I look at it as art,' said LAROI. The Kid LAROI will be performing at The Big E Arena on September 26th at 7:30 p.m. Tickets go on sale on June 13th at 10:00 a.m. ET.
