The running vests celebs like Alexandra Burke and Adele Roberts wore for the London Marathon

Daily Mirror28-04-2025

Whether its training in the lead up to it or for the London Marathon itself, we've tracked down the handy running vests celebs have been wearing whilst out on their runs
Countless celebrities took part in yesterday's London Marathon, with everyone from Adele Roberts to Alexandra Burke spotted crossing the finish line of the 26.2 mile run. Every year marathon runners inspire countless people to lace up their trainers and start running, and if you're just getting started or wanting to take your training up a notch, the right equipment is a must.
Running vests have become one of the most popular kit additions, giving runners a place to keep things like water, hydration gels and even their phone and keys. Even if you're not planning on running great distances, a vest is a great option for keeping your belongings safe and secure whilst you enjoy your run.
If you're thinking about adding one to your running kit, we've tracked down some of the celeb-approved picks to help you make the right choice. Radio 1 DJ Adele Roberts has been spotted wearing the Wellwise Running Vest Backpack, £17.39, during her training for countless marathons.
Ideal for keeping your essentials to hand, it comes with a 1.5litre water bladder, which lets you quickly take a sip and top up your hydration at any point during your run. It's also lightweight and super stretchy so it doesn't restrict you or weigh you down, with space to store your phone so you always have it to hand.
One Amazon reviewer praised: 'This is a very light weight running backpack with 1.5l bladder. It's well made and has a range of pockets with draw strings or zips, a suitably sized main compartment for the bladder, and plenty of straps and clips to ensure it stays in place. It's easy to adjust into a comfortable fit. I'd say it works better on smaller runners, it wouldn't be so good on someone particularly large, but is ideal for women or slimmer men.
'The bladder is a fairly standard affair with bit valve and reasonable length tube. The quality of both the pack and bladder is very good. The weight of the backpack is quite a surprise, if just running with keys and a couple of gels it's hardly noticeable.'
One reviewer did mention, however: 'Initially loved this when it arrived, used for the first time today. Unfortunately one zip broke and an attachment for the water bottle came apart.'
Some marathons, however, don't allow the bladder-style vests, which forces you to carry your water bottles by hand. Instead, singer Alexandra Burke wore the Ultra Vest 5L from On during the London Marathon, which offers secure places to store your bottles without having them in your hands.
Sadly Alexandra's exact vest is currently sold out almost everywhere, with only the XL size currently available. However this Kiprun 5L Vest is a great alternative, and is currently on sale down from £49.99 to £39.99.
It has 10 different pockets which gives you plenty of space to store all your running essentials. With slots for two water bottles at the front which allow you to access them without removing them, the vest also has zipped and velcro pockets to keep things safe.
Reviewers have highly praised it, writing: 'This is the best vest I've ever owned. It's light and breathable, and doesn't ruin shirts.'
Another agreed: 'Great vest. Holds everything you need for training or competition. You don't feel it while running, it's so light.' However one did mention: 'For a slim-built man, the M-L is not at all suitable. Not very comfortable to run in.'

Jeremy Clarkson's daughter made Lisa Hogan 'burst into tears'

The 51-year-old former model and co-star on Amazon's Clarkson's Farm opened up about her life with the ex-Top Gear host, revealing that despite not being engaged, their blended family shares a close bond. Lisa explained that Emily, a social media influencer and author, has previously spoken about her own daughter in such a kind way in the past. I've said it before, but I think Clarkson's Farm is my favourite show of the past 5 years. It's funny and engaging, you learn a heap, and it's done such a great job on showing the world the plight of farmers and how essential they are. And, of course, Jezza is Jezza ❤️ — Andrew Johnston (@ARJ7X) May 26, 2025 She said: "Emily has this podcast called Shall I Delete That? and she spoke about my daughter in such a sweet way that I burst out crying. They've known each other for nine years, and I think they really care about each other." She also gave insights into Jeremy's personality away from the cameras, describing him as endlessly curious and brimming with energy, even over the smallest things. When discussing the prospect of marriage, Lisa expressed contentment with their relationship as it is, telling the Daily Mail: "Mrs Clarkson? No, thank you, I like Lisa Hogan. "We decided not to have children together." "We're at a stage where we are not going to have kids. I'm just happy pootling along. I think because of our age, it's much easier." Recommended reading: As the new series of Clarkson's Farm hits the screens, Jeremy's health sparked even more concern following his heart surgery last year to fit two stents. Reflecting on the latest episodes, Jeremy observed how he appeared increasingly unwell as the series went on. Speaking to The Sun, Jeremy said: "You can see me becoming more and more ill as the days go on, because I just lose my sense of humour, lose my ability to stay calm. "I get in a proper old panic. I didn't know at the time. I knew I wasn't being me. Because if you don't sleep, it very quickly has an effect."

Total outsider enters the running to be 007 as Hollywood star lands new James Bond voiceover job

A TOTAL outsider has entered the running to be 007 as the Hollywood star lands a new James Bond voiceover job. Speculation over who will replace Daniel Craig in the iconic role has been heating up for months but fans think they have worked it out. 5 5 5 IO Interactive in collaboration with Amazon eMGM Studios, have officially unveiled 007 First Light. Which is a new, standalone, story-driven action-adventure game offering a fresh reimagining of James Bond's origins. It is set for release in 2026, and will be available on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. And Patrick Gibson from Dexter: Original Sin has been cast as the voice of 007 in the new computer game. Fans are therefore convinced he will go on to play Bond in the cinema. Taking to social media one Bond fan said: "The new James Bond is 100% played by Patrick Gibson. "He's an Irish actor who I know as playing Dexter in Dexter: Original Sin." Another added: "Unless I'm mistaken, our new game Bond is being played by Patrick Gibson. "Another Irish Bond in the bag, can't argue with that! "Also… the scar down the cheek from the books, FINALLY!!!" James Bond expert drops huge hint about new 007 actor after he starred in movie with huge A-list actress A third exclaimed: "Patrick Gibson as James Bond?!? This is peak casting." "100% played by Patrick Gibson AKA Dexter Morgan," added another. Another fan said: " So James Bond is definitely played by Patrick Gibson from Dexter Original Sin." "'Hello, James Bond. Morgan. THIS IS THE BEST DAY OF ALL THE DAYS!" 007 First Light follows a young 26-year-old old Bond straight out of the Royal Navy, as he embarks on his origin story to earn his Double-O and the Licence to Kill that comes with it. Irish actor, Patrick, 30, is best known for playing the young Dexter Morgan in Dexter: Original Sin but he has also featured in The Tudors, Shadow and Bone and the film Tolkien. Theo James' name was thrown into the hat after he wowed fans in Netflix's The Gentlemen last year. His performance in the Guy Ritchie series made him an ideal candidate for the next actor to fill the shoes of 007. Other names still in the running include Aaron Taylor-Johnson after it was revealed back in 2022 that the Brit had already "filmed a top-secret scene" at Pinewood Studios, Berkshire. Famed for the Kick-Ass movie series and the Marvel movie Avengers: Age of Ultron, Aaron shot to fame playing John Lennon in Nowhere Boy. The Sun previously exclusively revealed how . And with his quintessential Englishman good looks, James Norton has been a hot contender for the next Bond for many years. The chiselled star is known for playing the lead role of Sidney Chambers in Grantchester, and also evil Tommy Lee Royce in Happy Valley. Also in the running is Jack Lowden, known for BBC gangster drama The Gold and the TV hit Slow Horses. 5 5
