Official: Pisilli signs new Roma contract to 2026

Yahoo23-02-2025

Roma have officially extended their contract with youth product Niccolò Pisilli to June 2029.
The midfielder was born and bred supporting the Giallorossi, coming up through their academy to become a regular for the first team.
He was also on target in Thursday's Europa League play-off victory against FC Porto, which set up their Round of 16 tie with Athletic Club.
The 20-year-old has 34 appearances for the senior Roma squad, scoring four goals across Serie A, the Europa League and Coppa Italia.
These performances have helped earn him his senior Italy debut in October 2024, just days after his 20th birthday.
His previous contract had been due to expire in June 2026 and inevitably this will also be worth a significant pay increase.
Pisilli made his debut for the Roma first team under Jose Mourinho in the 2-0 home defeat to Inter on May 6, 2023.
He was only 18 years, seven months and 13 days old at the time.
His first goal for the club was in the 3-0 Europa League victory over Sheriff Tiraspol in December 2023.

Napoli One Step Away from Purchasing PSV Attacker

Napoli are closing in on Noa Lang after positive contacts with his camp and PSV. The deal should be finalized quickly. The fee will be around €25M plus add-ons, Mediaset reports. The Partenopei accelerated their efforts to sign the Dutch attacker shortly after getting rebuffed by Bologna for Dan Ndoye. However, he remains on their radar. A new meeting could take place as soon as this week. Advertisement Napoli had already targeted Lang in January after selling Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. PSV didn't want to lose him midseason, but the interest didn't wane. The Eredivisie side is expected to sign Ruben van Bommel, who's wanted by the Rossoblù and a couple more Serie A teams to replace their outbound star. The 26-year-old will earn around €2.5M per year in Campania. He's coming off a career season where he tallied 14 goals and 12 assists in 44 appearances across all competitions. He has 14 caps and 3 goals with the Netherlands under his belt. He had broken out at Club Brugge and transferred to his current team in 2023 for €12.5M. The Partenopei are determined to onboard multiple wingers. They'll continue to pursue Ndoye and Federico Chiesa, while Juventus have been more active than them on Jadon Sancho, Alfredo Pedullà informs. Our Take on Napoli Adding Lang The timing, right after a so-so summit with Bologna, isn't great, but this signing isn't too expensive, either in terms of the fee or the wages, that it'll deter them from another purchase. They weren't going to acquire two super highly-rated players in the same role anyway. Though, the addition makes it more likely that they'll bring in somebody with a strong work rate to balance out their corps.
