Monochrome Monday: The Wispy Clouds Edition
This Monochrome Monday is all about the art of wearing white without fading into the background.
White is never just white. In fashion, it's less a colour, more a code - purity, rebellion, control, collapse. From ancient Egyptian linen to space-age mod uniforms, white has always meant more than it says.
Elizabeth I wore it like a warning - lead-white skin as status, as armour. Marie Antoinette made it scandalous: sheer chemise, no corset, too soft, too free. Chanel cleaned it up, made it cold and chic. Then the '60s hit, and white got weird - plastic, shiny, utopian. Less bridal, more broadcast-from-the-future.
Now? It's back with all that baggage. Wispy Clouds doesn't whisper, it lingers - across sharp tailoring, undone lace, and barely-there knits that look like they might float off the body. It's clean but not innocent. Soft but not safe. Amina Muaddi | Alex Slipper in Embroidered Lace
These slippers feel like something a 1920s heiress would pack for the Riviera. Lace like fog, heels like sculpture. Romantic softness, with Muaddi's signature bite. Lama Jouni | Off-Shoulder Straight Dress in Baby Powder
Lama Jouni's off-shoulder dress is the blueprint for undone elegance. Soft folds frame the neckline, while clean lines and fluid draping hug the body just right. The straight silhouette keeps it sharp. Understated. Unmissable. Autonamie | Bridal Bella Epoque
Ethereal? Always. Structured? Absolutely. This satin gown - with gold embellishments like half-remembered heirlooms - moves with ghostly grace. The sheer cape? Pure apparition energy. Elio Abou Fayssal | Embroidered Frock Coat Gown
Sculptural shoulders, hand-embroidered detail, and a column silhouette that hums with quiet power. This is drama at a low frequency - felt more than seen. Rafa Earth | Fishtail Top White
Futurism meets fluidity. The deep V, flared cuffs, and cinched waist bring vintage softness and sci-fi sharpness into one sculptural silhouette. Sarah Abbass | Classic Blazer & Suit Pants in White
The blazer's cinched waist and strong shoulders say control. The pants say chill. Together, they whisper: don't underestimate this silhouette. Nora Al Shaikh | White Corset Dress
Classic corsetry, stretched into a contemporary flow. The bodice is structured. The skirt, easy. It's elegance in motion - disciplined but not rigid. Bshayer Alquanibet | White Shells Thobe
A thobe with celestial leanings. Shell-like embellishments give it texture; the floaty cut makes it feel barely earthbound. Choice GCC | Textured Contrast Dress with Detachable Chain
Soft structure meets relaxed movement. The chain detail adds just enough edge. It's quiet confidence with a silver accent. Joanna Dahdah | Moonstone Earrings
Delicate, yes - but also cosmic. These earrings glow like moonlight, with shapes that feel more natural than designed. A whisper of the galaxy, worn close. BLSSD | Front Zip Crop Shirt
A button-up reimagined. Cropped. Zipped. Tailored without being uptight. It's the shirt that pulls its own weight - and then some. Marzook | Ostrich Ivory
Sculptural and strange in the best way. This fan-shaped bag in quilted ostrich leather is part accessory, part objet d'art. Carry carefully.

BRICS Filmmakers to Shoot Movies in Russia
Yara Sameh Cities from westerns, remote villages, and streets of the Russian capital from the 40s to the present day. Over a thousand hectares have been allocated for the construction of film sets in Moscow, according to TV BRICS . The site may become the largest for location shooting in the world. It has already attracted foreign filmmakers. They come in whole groups, even in freezing temperatures. Hani Abul Hassan Abdul Hamid Ahmed, Advisor to the Chairman for International Cooperation of the Egyptian Creative Media Cluster, said: "We built the Egyptian media production city 30 or 40 years ago and we had the experience before. So I said — I asked actually — the colleagues and the friends in the Moscow government for culture to sign a protocol to big cities in the same field should be cooperating and exchanging the expertise to do great and good and new productions." Several international films are already scheduled to be shot in Moscow in 2025. Teams will come from Brazil, Thailand, Egypt, and Cameroon. Yury Yarushnikov, CEO of Virtual Production Studio, noted: "We were talking to our Indian colleagues who were here at the film factory and they are just now thinking about moving two big projects from Bollywood to Moscow. These are big projects with big Indian stars, straight top three, and there is a high probability that they will move. Especially now Moscow is opening up a system of rebates, especially for the BRICS countries." The creators of international film projects will be able to reimburse up to 30% of the costs of shooting in the Russian capital. The program began operating in April 2025. Support will be given to joint films by Russian and foreign productions. Aleksey Fursin, Minister of the Moscow City Government and Head of the Moscow Department of Culture, commented: "It is important for us that Russian film producers and production companies see the potential in creating joint projects with foreign companies. This enriches both productions in any case, because the technology, the filming methods themselves, they develop differently in each country." The film producers of Russia and China have more than successful experience in this regard. The latest joint film collected 100 million rubles in its first few days of distribution and a few weeks later more than 500 million rubles. The project entered the celestial empire market with ease, thanks to cooperation, outside the foreign quota that China has for foreign films. "The Chinese actors are more careful about the text, about learning the material, because it's all new to them. It's a whole new world, something they've immersed themselves in," said Russian director Andrey Volgin. Gosha Kutsenko, Producer and honorary artist of Russia, added: "We conveyed the beauty of Shanghai in the 1920s. It was so beautiful, so unexpected, it was such a civilization already powerful in general. China is beautiful, and I think that fate will bring us together in its next turn." The countries intend to sign a large-scale agreement on cooperation in film production. Russia is also developing similar documents for cooperation with Brazil, Vietnam, Cuba, Mexico, Turkey, South Africa, and Serbia. read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt News Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly Inaugurates Two Indian Companies Business Fear & Greed Index Plummets to Lowest Level Ever Recorded amid Global Trade War Arts & Culture Zahi Hawass: Claims of Columns Beneath the Pyramid of Khafre Are Lies News Flights suspended at Port Sudan Airport after Drone Attacks News Shell Unveils Cost-Cutting, LNG Growth Plan Videos & Features Video: Trending Lifestyle TikToker Valeria Márquez Shot Dead during Live Stream Technology 50-Year Soviet Spacecraft 'Kosmos 482' Crashes into Indian Ocean
