Bill Burr Jokes Trump Deportations Erase Billionaires' Excuse to Not Pay Workers a Living Wage: ‘It's the Illegal Aliens' Fault'
Bill Burr joked that President Donald Trump's mass deportations will force white billionaires to pay their workers a decent living wage.
'When they get rid of all the illegals in this country, white billionaires will then magically become generous and start paying people a living wage because they inadvertently got rid of their excuse as to why they're not paying people,' Burr said while sitting down for a quick subway debate with fellow comedian and 'SubwayTakes' host Kareem Rahma. The social media show is based on Rahma asking guests to share their most thought-provoking or controversial opinions.
Though Rahma '100%' disagreed, he wanted to know more from Burr about why the top 1% in the country would all of a sudden start dishing out more cash.
'Because it's the illegal aliens' fault, that's why,' Burr jokingly explained. 'They need to come to this country the right way. The way my people came here.'
Rahma went on to question Burr about his political views, specifically his thoughts about how the country has been divided by political parties and/or stances, despite living in a nation that glorifies being united.
'Yeah, they have states hating other states. People in red states don't like California, people in California don't like Texas. But somewhere along the line we missed that's it's the United States and that we're all on the same team, and these psychos at the top, they just get everybody all stirred up,' Burr shared. 'This guy's causing riots in American cities, and there's people trying to get to their apartments and they're getting shot with rubber bullets. And we are so divided because of CNN and Fox News that as long as the bullets are going at the countrymen that are wearing the wrong tie, you somehow don't view them as on your team anymore. It's a really dangerous time.'
As he closed out his thoughts, Burr shared that he has faith that things will get better amongst torn Americans and suggested that Trump voters and those who voted for former President Joe Biden are just as responsible for the choice they made at the polls as the other.
'I have faith though that through things like this and social media … that we can get on the same page,' Burr said. 'But one of the things I hate the most is people who write things like, 'I will never forgive people that voted for Trump.' And it's just like, well now you've just caused division … You want to bring them over. It's just like, well you just voted for a guy that should've been in a f—king home. He's on his back porch talking to himself.'
Per Reuters, the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (I.C.E.), which aims to deport one million migrants a year during Trump's term, has reportedly arrested more than 100,000 people suspected of violating the country's immigration laws between Jan. 20, 2025 and the first week of June.

Trump calls for Netanyahu to be pardoned, corruption trial canceled
President Trump on Wednesday called for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to be pardoned and his corruption trial canceled. 'I just learned that Bibi has been summoned to Court on Monday for the continuation of this long running, (He has been going through this 'Horror Show' since May of 2020 – Unheard of! This is the first time a sitting Israeli Prime Minister has ever been on trial.), politically motivated case, 'concerning cigars, a Bugs Bunny doll, and numerous other unfair charges' in order to do him great harm,' Trump said in a Truth Social post late Wednesday. 'Such a WITCH HUNT, for a man who has given so much, is unthinkable to me. He deserves much better than this, and so does the State of Israel. Bibi Netanyahu's trial should be CANCELLED, IMMEDIATELY, or a Pardon given to a Great Hero,' he added. In the trial, according to The Associated Press, Netanyahu is accused of taking tens of thousands of dollars' worth of cigars and champagne from a Hollywood billionaire for personal and business help. The Israeli prime minister, in an effort to secure positive coverage for himself and his family, allegedly pushed beneficial regulations for powerful individuals in the media, the outlet reported. According to the AP, Netanyahu has denied the allegations of misconduct. Trump's post also comes after recent U.S. involvement in a conflict between Israel and Iran, with American forces participating in a strike against Iran over the weekend. The president went after the Israelis and Iranians on Tuesday, expressing his displeasure at fighting that went on between the regional rivals after the president had announced the parameters of a ceasefire Monday. 'We basically — we have two countries that have been fighting so long and so hard that they don't know what the f‑‑‑ they're doing,' Trump told reporters at the White House Tuesday.

Uproar Over Leaked Intelligence Underlines Murky View of Iran Strikes
WASHINGTON—President Trump on Wednesday doubled down on his claims that U.S. military strikes against Iranian nuclear sites crippled Tehran's ability to pursue a nuclear bomb, rejecting a leaked preliminary intelligence report that assessed the American strike had merely delayed Iran's efforts for a few months. The dispute points to a larger problem that is likely to bedevil U.S. intelligence analysis and experts for many months, as they attempt to determine the full extent of damage on the nuclear facilities that were struck.

Minnesota faces federal lawsuit for offering illegal immigrants college tuition benefits denied to Americans
The Department of Justice (DOJ) filed a complaint challenging laws in Minnesota that provide free and reduced in-state tuition to illegal aliens, claiming the laws are unconstitutional. Under federal law, higher education institutions are prohibited from providing benefits to illegal aliens not offered to U.S. citizens. According to the DOJ, Minnesota's laws unconstitutionally discriminate against U.S. citizens and are in direct conflict with federal law. "No state can be allowed to treat Americans like second-class citizens in their own country by offering financial benefits to illegal aliens," Attorney General Pam Bondi said. "The Department of Justice just won on this exact issue in Texas, and we look forward to taking this fight to Minnesota in order to protect the rights of American citizens first." By filing the lawsuit, the DOJ is demanding that Minnesota stop the enforcement of a law requiring public colleges and universities to provide in-state tuition rates and free tuition based on certain income circumstances to immigrants in the country illegally who maintain state residency. Federal law prohibits higher education facilities from providing education benefits to illegal immigrants, which are not offered to U.S. citizens. The lawsuit comes just weeks after the DOJ took actions against Texas for providing similar benefits to illegal immigrants. Both lawsuits have been filed in response to two executive orders signed by President Donald Trump since returning to the Oval Office in January. The executive orders were signed to ensure illegal immigrants cannot receive taxpayer benefits or preferential treatment. One of the orders, "Ending Taxpayer Subsidization of Open Borders," ordered all agencies to "ensure, to the maximum extent permitted by law, that no taxpayer-funded benefits go to unqualified aliens." The other order, "Protecting American Communities From Criminal Aliens," directs officials to "take appropriate action to stop the enforcement of State and local laws, regulations, policies, and practices favoring aliens over any groups of American citizens that are unlawful, preempted by Federal law, or otherwise unenforceable, including State laws that provide in-State higher education tuition to aliens but not to out-of-State American citizens." Ultimately, Texas complied with the DOJ and stopped enforcing the Texas Dream Act, which was originally introduced in February 2001. The legislation, signed by Gov. Rick Perry, a Republican, June 16, 2001, removed federal immigration status as a factor in determining eligibility to pay in-state tuition at Texas public colleges and universities for students who graduate from a Texas high school and who meet the minimum residency, academic and registration criteria. While the state immediately stopped enforcement, the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) has since intervened. On Tuesday, the ACLU of Texas, alongside organizations like the Texas Civil Rights Project and Democracy Forward, filed a motion to intervene in the litigation to defend the constitutionality of the Texas Dream Act against the DOJ. The ACLU said the DOJ's order was agreed to by Texas without proper process and creates "sweeping uncertainty" for students and colleges. "As students prepare to attend school in the fall, the failure of neither the DOJ nor the attorney general to defend the Texas Dream Act threatens their ability to afford tuition – and suddenly threatens their dreams of pursuing higher education," the ACLU said in a press release. "By moving to intervene, these groups and individuals hope to challenge this abusive litigation strategy and defend the Texas Dream Act, which has enabled a generation of Texans to grow their careers and become leaders in our communities." Fox News Digital has reached out to Gov. Greg Abbott's office for comment on the matter.
