Taco Bell's chicken nuggets are coming back after a successful limited-time run last year. This time, the taco chain plans to add the nuggets as a permanent menu item by 2026.
The nuggets became a top-selling Taco Bell menu item in December 2024 with around 5 million customers trying them out. The demand remained high even after the initial run, where the tortilla-chip coated nuggets gained massive popularity.
"The demand for our nuggets was off the charts," said Taco Bell's Chief Marketing Officer, Taylor Montgomery in a news release, "which is why we're looking at making crispy chicken permanent to give our fans what they are telling us they want." Montgomery notes that even though the chain is "a taco place doing chicken," the nuggets aren't going anywhere.
Here's what to know about the Taco Bell chicken nuggets and when they're coming back.
Taco Bell chicken nuggets, which the chain planned to reintroduce on April 24, according to a press release, are marinated in a zesty jalapeño-flavored buttermilk and breaded with a blend of breadcrumbs and crispy tortilla chips. They are also paired with dipping sauces that include Hidden Valley Fire Ranch Sauce, Bell Sauce, and Jalapeño Honey Mustard.
Customers who purchase the combo nuggets meal get an order of regular Nacho Fries, nacho cheese sauce, and a large fountain drink.
Prices vary depending on how you order them (a la carte or in a combo), but this is the suggested pricing:
5-piece nugget and one dipping sauce: $3.99
10-piece nugget and two dipping sauces: $6.99
5-piece nugget combo with one dipping sauce: $5.99
10-piece nugget combo with two dipping sauces: $8.99
The Buckeye State is in the top five for the most Taco Bell restaurants with 419 locations and counting, according to ScrapeHero data. You can view the company's store locator to find a Taco Bell near you.

The McDonald's Snack Wrap Comeback Is Confirmed, and There's a Whole Website for It

McDonald's officially confirms the permanent return of the Snack Wrap starting July 10, featuring McCrispy Strips, shredded cheese, and lettuce in Spicy and Ranch varieties. A new promotional website, has been launched to celebrate the return with fan content, updates, and exclusive media. The relaunch follows a wave of competition in the chicken snack space, including Popeyes' recent wrap debut and Taco Bell's investment in crispy chicken months, nothing has filled the Snack Wrap-sized void in our foodie hearts. The Golden Arches has some fantastic news for your summer plans — all that yearning might soon be a thing of the past. The long-lost Snack Wrap makes a permanent return to menus on July 10, as the company reveals to Food & Wine. This savory, tortilla-wrapped delight is one of the most notable menu items that customers have loved and lost, and the Google search data backs it up. Here are all the juicy details: The new and improved Snack Wrap features the recently launched McCrispy Strips along with shredded cheese and lettuce. It's available in two flavors, Spicy and Ranch, and customers can order them individually or as part of a two-piece combo meal. 'It's back,' McDonald's USA president Joe Erlinger succinctly confirmed in the company announcement. McDonald's tease last December sparked a flurry of supportive comments on social media. This time around, McDonald's is rolling out the digital red carpet with a website solely dedicated to next month's release and those fan reactions. On the platform McDonald's is exploring every aspect of the viral menu item. McDonald's explains on its website, 'We dropped to highlight the bond fans have with the Snack Wrap. We're delivering engaging, iconic and never-before-seen content — continuously updated leading up to the official return of the Snack Wrap.' Related: Our 50 Best Chicken Recipes This may all be thanks to a little peer pressure from Cajun-style competitor Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen. The comfort food chain unveiled its own version of a tortilla-wrapped snack earlier this week, describing it as the "same legendary Louisiana flavor with a whole new twist.' While Popeyes' version offers a spicier take on the portable meal, the similarities certainly aren't lost on their marketing team. 'Glad we could make that happen,' the official Popeyes account teased on McDonald's Instagram announcement, signing off the comment with a winking emoji. While McDonald's version is a clear fast food classic, it reflects a broader industry trend toward dippable chicken snacks. Earlier this year, Taco Bell reinvested in crispy chicken with its version of Crispy Chicken Nuggets. In the coming years, the Yum! Brands-owned company aims to concentrate its strategy on the wider crispy chicken category. Other brands, like Burger King, have attempted to introduce the Snack Wrap in recent years — but nothing quite compares to the original. Fan-favorite McDonald's item returns to menus at Pennsylvania locations. Here's when

(WTAJ) — After nearly a decade, a fan-favorite item is coming back to McDonald's, including right here in Pennsylvania. The McDonald's snack wrap debuted in 2006 and was taken off a number of menus in 2016. Some locations kept hold of it until 2020 when McDonald's made a huge shift due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In May, McDonald's launched their new McCrispy strips, touting them as a permanent fixture on all McDonald's menus across the country. The announcement brought the inevitable outcry for the return of the Snack Wrap. Taco Bell fans can now make two of the chain's most popular menu items at home McDonald's announced the return of the snack wrap to fanfare across social media. Now, we know it will officially launch on July 10 at participating locations. Those locations include the greater Johnstown and Altoona area, McDonald's confirmed. The snack wraps will be available in their classic ranch, which debuted originally in 2006, and a new spicy version, complete with a habanero kick. Both come with lettuce and shredded cheese. The return of chicken strips and snack wraps isn't surprising. McDonald's, much like other brands, are trying to compete with each other in a flooded market where you can grab something to eat almost anywhere you Taco Bell got into the chicken game with their tortilla-coated chicken nuggets, however, no one took America by storm with chicken the way Popeye's did when they got into the chicken sandwich game, causing long lines and numerous fights among the fanbase.
