Social media has shown us that the cat distribution system works in mysterious ways, but the same can be said for dogs, too. Whether they find their way to their forever families on their own or with the help of a rescue, no two dog rescue stories are the same. Every 'tail' is worth telling, but Clover's journey is so moving and inspiring that it deserves its own movie.
There may not be a movie called 'Clover's Journey' yet, but this Border Collie's forever family is recording her adoption and healing through videos on her very own TikTok account: @cloverthebordercollie. On June 18, this farm-dog-turned-family-pet took a big step by allowing herself to experience love for the very first time, and it's safe to say that there wasn't a dry eye in the house.
This is the beginning of Clover's Happily Ever After! This nervous rescue dog may still be shy and hesitant around her new family, but she's already come so far since the first day they met. And it's all thanks to this kindhearted dog mom!
"I just can't understand why anyone would treat an innocent fur baby this way," one commenter began. "It hits me so hard. My fur baby is my 3rd child. You've got this, Clover."
The farm dog first arrived at her new home in mid-June after nervously leaving the ranch where she had been mistreated. She wandered into her neighbor's yard in search of help, but little did she know that she would find her new family there. It didn't take long before her new and old families reached an agreement, and soon her new life began!
As heartbreaking as it is to see Clover so shut down, it's also reassuring to know that she's in a loving, permanent home that won't give up on her. She may not know the comfort of dog beds and cuddles yet, but it's only a matter of time until she's lounging in luxury like she deserves.
This is a wonderful example of how the best happy endings can still have some bumps in the road. In fact, no dog adoption goes perfectly smoothly, which is why the pros recommend following the 3-3-3 rule. This rule explains how long it may take for a rescue pet to reach certain milestones in their home, though each animal has a journey and timeline as unique as they are.
As Clover's family is learning firsthand, love and patience pay off!

YouTube star, animal activist Mikayla Raines dies by suicide after extreme online bullying, her husband claims

A beloved YouTube star and passionate animal rights activist died by suicide after enduring relentless online bullying, her heartbroken husband revealed. Mikayla Raines, a popular content creator and founder of the Save A Fox rescue center, was the victim of an 'online bullying campaign' from people she knew and those who worked at 'other animal sanctuaries' over the years, her husband Ethan Frankamp said in a heartbreaking YouTube video Monday. The 29-year-old was also a mom to a baby daughter. Advertisement 4 Mikayla Raines died by suicide at 29, according to her husband Ethan Frankamp. @saveafox_rescue/Instagram 'To those of you that pushed her to this, every one of you that had been responsible for making her feel this way, I wish — I wish you had to see me find her, and I wish you had to watch me perform CPR on her for 15 minutes until the first responders arrived,' Frankamp said. 'I wish you had to watch helplessly as paramedics attempted to revive her lifeless body.' Advertisement Recently, Raines' close friends began to criticize her, according to Frankamp. He claimed the criticism caused her mental health to take a tragic turn for the worse. 'She felt as if the entire world had turned against her,' he shared. 'She has always battled with borderline personality disorder, causing emotional instability as well as impulsive behaviors, but this time it went too far. She couldn't bear what she was feeling any longer and she ended her life.' Frankamp added that his wife also had autism and struggled with depression. He ended the tearful video by telling critics spreading 'garbage' rumors to 'shut up' — and urged people feeling 'lost and hopeless' to reach out to a loved one or call a hotline for help. The Minnesota mother's death announcement came one day after her husband posted a sweet video of Raines smiling after she rescued a lemur that didn't appear to be house-trained. Advertisement The Save A Fox YouTube channel boasts 2.45 million subscribers. 4 Raines founded the Save A Fox rescue and ran a popular YouTube page. @saveafox_rescue/Instagram 'She was never in it for fame, money or personal gain,' Frankamp said. 'She was truly one of the most selfless people I have ever known. She put the animal's well-being over her own time and time again.' Frankamp said he 'will do whatever I can' to continue the Save A Fox rescue center. This cooling fan hack has gone viral — and it's not as strange as you think

Summer is finally here, and as temperatures reach unbearable temperatures, staying cool in our homes can become a challenge. This is especially the case if you don't have one of the best smart air conditioners, or your AC has suddenly stopped blowing cold air. And while there are plenty of clever ways to beat the heat without AC, this rather unconventional, fan hack has gone viral — and has also baffled social media! So, what is this bizarre fan hack that promises to stay cool in a heatwave? While most of us tend to point our cooling fan into the room, and close our windows, this hack advises to do the complete opposite. TikTok user @tayyyylz, posted a video explaining that instead of pointing a fan into the room as most people do, we should be aiming it out of an open window or door to keep cool. She goes on to explain this clever, cooling trick was advised by her boyfriend who is a power and cooling engineer. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. The video clip shows a tower fan pointing towards an open window with the caption, 'When he says if we point the fan out of an open window, it will cool the room down quicker, he's right.' It's not surprising that this TikTok video quickly went viral, racking up over 2.2 million views, and over 300 comments from curious viewers questioning how this actually works. One user questioned, 'Why would you have your windows open if it's hotter outside??', while another commented, 'Works better if you have two fans on opposite ends, one blowing outside air in and the other blowing inside air out.' While this method may seem counterproductive, how effective is this cooling hack? Shark's FlexBreeze Pro Mist is Shark's smartest cooling fan yet. It offers immense versatility, with a portable design (complete with carry handle and even a bag) and can also be converted to a freestanding fan. It's also rechargeable, and features a removable misting attachment for next-level cooling. As much as we love clever hacks here at Tom's Guide, we always do our research, and have called on an expert to confirm (or debunk) such claims. Surprisingly, it's true! And it's all about creating more ventilation, and a better air circulation into the room. 'Opening opposite windows or doors creates a pathway for air to flow through your home – a basic principle of ventilation,' states Les Roberts, energy expert at Bionic. 'For even better airflow, you can place a second fan facing inward at the opposite opening to pull cooler outside air into the room, creating a strong cross-breeze. Positioning the original fan to face outward pushes the hot indoor air out, which in turn draws cooler air in from the other opening.' But how would this method work if it's a particularly hot and stifling day? 'It works most effectively when the air outside is cooler than inside, typically in the evening, overnight, or early morning. The difference in temperature (known as a temperature gradient) naturally drives air movement from cooler to warmer areas. This process helps the fans work with, rather than against, natural convection, making your home feel more comfortable with minimal energy use.' Another clever trick is to place a bowl with ice or frozen water bottles in front of your fan. The idea is that if you hold your hand near ice, the air itself feels nice and chilled — like a DIY air conditioner. So if all else fails the next time you're overheating indoors this summer, try pointing your fan out the window instead. What's more, it's completely free!
