Sofitel revives hotel uniforms with Cordelia de Castellane
French luxury hotel chain Sofitel has collaborated with Paris-based French designer Cordelia de Castellane, who has been artistic director of Dior Home and Baby Dior since 2012, to revitalise the uniforms for its 25,000 employees worldwide.
The new 45-piece collection will offer a new closet for all employees at Sofitel's 120-plus hotels worldwide, blending timeless silhouettes with practical needs, utilising a variety of fabrics, textures, and navy and beige colour palettes to ensure suitability for both city hotels and resorts.
In a statement, Sofitel said that De Castellane's uniforms will suit all professions and destinations, while expressing 'an elegant, fluid, and boldly contemporary style' in reflection of the French luxury brand. Key looks include a belted shirtdress, a knitted dress and double-breasted jackets. Sofitel reinvents hotel uniform with French designer Cordelia de Castellane Credits: Sofitel
Maud Bailly, chief executive of Sofitel Legend, Sofitel, MGallery and Emblems, said: 'The Sofitel Vestiaire is much more than a uniform: it's a manifesto. It's a tribute to our teams, who are the first to embody the renaissance of Sofitel. It reflects the joy of embracing a brand, the pride of being its ambassador, and the desire to wear our values in silk, knit, or cotton.
'We want this wardrobe to be emotionally resonant, exacting and refined, but also effortlessly chic. That's why we needed a visionary. This partnership with Cordelia de Castellane is the meeting of two visions of luxury, united by a shared passion for exceptional design."
The new uniforms will embody 'French zest' and will be crafted using flexible and durable materials, which the hotel chain said will be internationally tested across pilot locations to meet 'the everyday needs of hotel staff'. The wardrobe will also adapt to all body types, roles, and climates, 'ensuring both comfort and elegance'. Sofitel reinvents hotel uniform with French designer Cordelia de Castellane Credits: Sofitel
On the uniform design, De Castellane added: "For me, Sofitel is a madeleine de Proust. It brings back childhood memories, iconic hotels, and a very specific vision of French luxury. Sofitel is more than a hotel brand — it's a way of life, a natural elegance paired with a deep openness to the world. Paris was a major inspiration for this collection — because Paris means effortless chic, cultural richness, precision tailoring, and that uniquely bold creativity.
'I wanted to imagine a wardrobe that expresses this Parisian sophistication, but also the warmth of hospitality and the pride of representing a house. These are garments designed to last, to move with the body, and to make every team member feel beautiful, free, and proud."
The design will also reflect Sofitel's dedication to responsible luxury and will be developed in partnership with Paris Good Fashion, an initiative that ensures every step of production respects principles of sustainability, repairability, and recyclability to reduce environmental impact and contribute to more responsible resource management.

Romeo Beckham leaves party with German influencer after break-up
Romeo Beckham has been spotted on a night out with a German influencer days after his break-up with Kim Turnbull was revealed. The middle son of David and Victoria Beckham, Romeo initially followed in his dad's footsteps and pursued a career in football. However last year he turned down a contract with Brentford FC to stay on with their B team and instead pursue a career in fashion. After breaking up with long-term girlfriend Mia Regan in February last year, the 22-year-old went on to date model and DJ Kim Turnbull, 26. But after a seven-month romance, and amid rumours of a Beckham family feud, last week it was revealed Romeo and Kim had split. A few days on, Romeo has been photographed on a night out with Caroline Daur, a model and influencer who boasts 4.6 million followers on Instagram. Late on Saturday night the pair were spotted leaving the same party at the Hotel Costes in Paris. Although she arrived alone around 11.30pm, Caroline and Romeo later slipped into the same car despite leaving the venue separately. They then headed to the French capital's trendy Julia nightclub, where they partied until 2:30am. However, security was reportedly on high alert, doing everything to shield her from the cameras including swearing at photographers. Despite initially travelling together, Romeo and Caroline then left the club separately. However, a source went on to tell MailOnline: 'Romeo was in town for work meetings, Roland Garros and also caught up with friends. He had dinner with his three friends one of whom is great friends with Caro, so she joined the group. It was a casual dinner in a group setting throughout the evening.' Caroline, 30, was born and raised in Hamburg, and started fashion blogging in 2014. Over the years she's worked with companies including Adidas, Dolce & Gabbana, Fendi and Valentino and has founded her own brand and fitness program. The influencer has also starred in the Amazon Prime production Dinner Club and Netflix's She Said Yes. Overnight she shared a series of photos and videos from the French Open, where Romeo was seen on Friday attending the semi-final match between Italy's Lorenzo Musetti and Spain's Carlos Alcaraz at Roland Garros. Dressed in a navy suit and black t-shirt, Romeo appeared somewhat downcast in some of the images taken at the game. It came after a source said Romeo and Kim had an 'amicable' split that has 'nothing to do' with the Beckham rift after her name was drawn into the drama after it was claimed she'd previously dated her boyfriend's brother Brooklyn, 26. 'Romeo and Kim are both young and they had a lovely time together but at that age things don't always last forever and they decided to split up,' a friend told the Daily Mail. 'They have been friendly since and have even been at the same venues. It's a huge shame, particularly as David and Victoria really adored her and thought she made Romeo happy but it wasn't to be. 'It happened a couple of weeks ago and relations have remained friendly between them.' The source went on to say each had a 'busy careers' and their travel schedules meant that 'having a relationship at this time isn't all that conducive to their lives'. More Trending Romeo previously dated model and content creator Mia, 22, for five years. When announcing their split in February last year, he wrote on Instagram: 'Mooch and I have parted ways after 5 years of love. We still have a lot of love and respect for each other and still hold a strong friendship and always will.' After featuring in a Burberry campaign when he was just 10, last year Romeo signed with fashion agency Paris Safe management and has since modelled for Versace at Milan Fashion Week. Man Utd's next three transfers after Mbeumo signing as four players set to leave
Manchester United have already splashed the cash in the summer transfer window and are aiming to make Bryan Mbeumo their third signing of the window but are still aiming for more Manchester United still want to make THREE more signings once they get a move for Bryan Mbeumo complete. The Red Devils have made the Brentford forward one of their priority targets for the coming weeks. United have already approached the Bees for a deal but as yet, there is no agreement for the forward to move to Old Trafford. There may be one slight issue given Tottenham have forced themselves into contention, with Brentford boss Thomas Frank closing in on a switch to North London. But United are still pressing ahead with a move. And once Mbeumo completes a switch, the club will then move onto their other targets. United are interested in signing a new goalkeeper. Andre Onana has struggled to convince since his arrival from Inter Milan, and Gianuigi Donnarumma has emerged as a contender for a move - according to French reports - with just a year remaining on his contract with current side Paris Saint-Germain. Speaking recently about his future, he said: 'New deal or leaving? We will see what happens… I don't know. It's time to enjoy this magic season now. I will go on holiday and then we will see.' That situation may well not revolve itself until next summer, particularly given United's finances at present means they're unlikely to be able to pay anything like what PSG would want to part ways with the Italian 12 months early. But regardless, a new man between the sticks is likely to still arrive as the club have interest in bringing in a new No.2 as well. At the other end of the pitch, United are also keen to sign a new striker after their goalscoring woes last term. Viktor Gyokeres is a long-term target, while Victor Osimhen could also be an option after rejecting a move to Saudi Arabia. However, there is a slight issue when it comes to a new forward, with Rasmus Hojlund claiming that he is hoping to stay at the club beyond this summer. He said: 'I have a contract until 2030, so I expect to play for Manchester United. I'm looking forward to going on a summer vacation, and then I'm fully dedicated to the project that's underway. "I know I can't get much out of reading things. I know what the facts are, and that is that I have a contract with Manchester United until 2030. I expect to play there, so I'm just getting ready for some summer vacation and then hopefully a good pre-season." Who do you think Man United should sign? Share your thoughts in the comments below Finally, a new midfielder is also on United's shopping list for the remainder of the window. Atalanta star Ederson has been linked in the past and if it's not him then a similar all-action type should arrive. The Red Devils are determined to bid farewell to a few players to bolster their funds. Marcus Rashford, Antony and Jadon Sancho are all expected to leave the club following loan spells away from Old Trafford, with the trio all available for sale if the price is right. United's issue is all three have good contracts that they won't just want to give up. Almost certainly out the door is Alejandro Garnacho, who has been linked with Napoli, and has been told he has no future at the club under Amorim.
