Public Security Implements Comprehensive Security, Traffic, and Humanitarian Plan Ahead of Eid Al-Adha Holiday
The Public Security Directorate has developed a comprehensive security, traffic, and humanitarian plan to facilitate services for citizens and ensure their safety during the Eid Al-Adha holiday, aiming to provide a secure environment for both residents and visitors. اضافة اعلان The all-encompassing plan spans multiple sectors and covers all governorates of the Kingdom, including internal and external roads, residential neighborhoods, markets, and recreational and tourist sites. It involves an increased presence of both mobile and foot patrols, and heightened readiness to handle reports and observations around the clock. The plan also includes elevated preparedness at border crossings and terminals, which are expected to witness heavy traffic due to the return of expatriates and the arrival of visitors from neighboring countries, in addition to pilgrims returning from Hajj. On the traffic front, specialized departments have already begun implementing a strategy to organize traffic flow and prevent dangerous violations and reckless behavior. Environmentally, the Royal Department for Environmental Protection, in cooperation with relevant authorities, will conduct inspections in markets, livestock sacrifice points, and touristic and forested areas to ensure adherence to environmental regulations and prevent violations that could harm public health or the ecosystem. Additionally, correctional facilities will open their doors for family visits during the holiday, in line with a rehabilitative approach that supports family ties and maintains a humane environment within detention centers. Meanwhile, the Civil Defense Directorate has increased its preparedness to provide humanitarian services, deploying advanced field teams to recreational areas and water bodies to ensure quick emergency response and efficient incident management.
The Public Security Directorate emphasized the importance of public awareness and compliance with safety guidelines, urging citizens to remain vigilant and not hesitate to report any emergency via the unified emergency number (911).

Five "Israeli" soldiers killed in Khan Younis ambush
On Friday, the Palestinian resistance carried out a well-planned ambush targeting the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) in the city of Khan Younis, in southern Gaza, resulting in the death of five soldiers and the critical injury of two others. According to Palestinian sources, a 12-member unit from the IOF was caught in the ambush, which led to the collapse of a booby-trapped building they were taking cover in, causing the casualties. The sources reported that rescue operations are still underway, as several soldiers remain trapped under the rubble amid an ongoing security incident. The ambush coincided with an escalation of the IOF's operations in Khan Younis, where the city has witnessed heavy airstrikes and artillery shelling in the northern and central areas, resulting in dozens of Palestinian deaths since Thursday. This escalation comes during the Eid al-Adha holiday, which has been marred by the sound of bombing and the suffering of residents.

Pilgrims ascend Mount Arafat for Hajj climax
Pilgrims from around the world are gathering on Mount Arafat this Thursday, performing what is considered the pinnacle of the Hajj pilgrimage—standing at Arafat, or Wuquf. The ritual, known as the 'greatest pillar' of Hajj, marks a central moment of spiritual reflection, prayer, and unity for Muslims as they stand on the sacred plain from noon to sunset. Saudi Arabia announced that more than 1.5 million pilgrims have arrived from outside the Kingdom to perform Hajj this year. The total number of pilgrims, including domestic ones, has not been officially disclosed. Interior Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif, who also chairs the Supreme Hajj Committee, reviewed preparations by the Special Emergency Forces. The forces are tasked with crowd control, organizing the stoning ritual at Mina, maintaining public order, and ensuring the safety of pilgrims following the official security plan. During his visit, the prince received a briefing from force commanders on operational readiness and crowd management strategies, particularly at the Jamarat site. He also inspected development projects aimed at improving pilgrim safety and movement. These upgrades include six new support service buildings and eleven buildings for escalators, housing a total of 386 electric escalators, as well as moving walkways and air-cooling systems as part of a heat-stress reduction project in the eastern courtyard of the Jamarat facility.
