Married prison guard who was filmed having sex with an inmate is FREED from jail after just five months

Daily Mail10 hours ago

A former prison officer who shocked the nation when she was filmed having sex with an inmate has been freed from jail early after serving just five months.
Married Linda de Sousa Abreu, 31, was sentenced to 15 months for having sex with serial burglar Linton Weirich in his prison cell at HMP Wandsworth last June.
However, she has now been released on licence as prison overcrowding means offenders can be freed after a third of their sentence if they show good behaviour.
Ex-Met Police detective Peter Bleksley told the Sun: 'This is a shocking example of soft justice.
'Where's the deterrent when sentences and time served are as short as this?'
De Sousa Abreu admitted to having sex with the same prisoner on another occasion, while she was also caught on her own body camera giving oral sex to him on the same day the original sex tape was filmed.
Weirich was jailed for four-and-a-half years at Kingston Crown Court last June for burglary after he stole £65,000 worth of valuables from a safe in a flat in Kensington.
De Sousa Abreu, who claimed she has 'found faith in God' since the incident, also has an OnlyFans account where she shares explicit content.
Her account reads: 'I am a happily married sexy latina who wants to share hot content with you. Experience my real life, real love, real sex and real orgasms!
'We believe in authenticity, all our content will be genuine and we'll never fake it because we want you to enjoy watching it as much as we'll enjoy making it!'
Close friend Hayley claimed De Sousa Abreu had been going through a difficult time when the illegal act behind bars was carried out.
Hayley, who only wanted to give her first name, claimed prisoners knew De Sousa Abreu's husband's name and about her OnlyFans.
She claimed the alleged 'pressure' and 'coercion' had a knock on effect on De Sousa Abreu's marriage around the time the scandalous footage was recorded.
In the video, which sparked a police investigation, Weirich's cellmate is smoking while recording on his phone.
He can be heard saying: 'Guys we've made history, this is what I'm telling you.'
Grinning the prisoner filming adds: 'This is how we roll in Wandsworth.' He also tells his cellmate having sex: 'You know you're gangster innit!'
De Sousa Abreu, who is originally from Brazil, was arrested at Heathrow Airport last July while travelling with her father but denied trying to flee the country.
That same month De Sousa Abreu, of Fulham, southwest London, admitted one charge of misconduct in public office when she first appeared at Isleworth Crown Court last July.
She was then sentenced at the same court in January
The Ministry of Justice said: 'Offenders released on licence are subject to strict conditions and can be recalled to prison immediately if they break the rules.'

New Derbyshire FA boss wants to crack down on bad behaviour

The new boss of the Derbyshire Football Association (FA) has said one of his main priorities is to reduce bad behaviour at grassroots executive Liam Rooney said "we will work together and try different approaches" to tackle bad behaviour by players and comes after national FA data showed there were 95 allegations of assaults and attempted assaults on referees in 2023-24, compared to 72 during the 2022-23 Rooney, who has also been a referee for the past eight years, said: "One of the reasons I got involved with this role is due to the levels of abuse [referees] were suffering and I wanted to go out there and see what's going on." FA data also showed the number of serious case allegations, including those against players and match officials, rose 17% from 3,636 to 4, while the number of FA charges brought following the allegations rose from 2,263 to 2,561, there was a 1% decrease in the number of proven serious cases. The new chief executive said tackling poor behaviour was a "key priority" as well as "carrying on" the development of Derbyshire's leagues, clubs, referees and Rooney said: "We will not accept it, we need players, coaches and parents have a responsibility to behave."The only way we can overcome that barrier is to work together and try different approaches." 'I want to be out there' Mr Rooney, who began his career with Derbyshire FA in 2008, said he was giving his "full focus" on his new role and would be stepping back from his refereeing duties."This will enable me to get out and speak to many leagues and clubs within Derbyshire", said Mr Rooney. "I'm not a CEO that sits behind a desk, I want to be out there talking to everybody about what the challenges are, what the successes are and what people need from us as a county FA. "My role might have changed but I'm not going to change" he said. "I'm still going to be out there, I'm still going to have those relationships and listen to our volunteers, referees, players, parents and coaches and support them going forward."
