Scott Barrett retained as All Blacks captain for France series despite calls for Ardie Savea
WELLINGTON, New Zealand — All Blacks coach Scott Robertson has retained Scott Barrett as captain for New Zealand's three-test series against France next month, ignoring calls to promote star backrower Ardie Savea.
Barrett's reappointment was certain when it was revealed that Robertson's 35-man squad would be announced Monday at the Coastal Rugby Club in the tiny North Island town of Rahotu to which all three Barrett brothers belong.

Gavin Lux also went deep for the Reds, who have won two straight and 11 of 16. Advertisement Aaron Judge accounted for the Yankees' run with his 28th homer. Cody Bellinger had three hits. It was only the second time in 14 games that Yankees pitchers allowed three or more earned runs. New York came in with a 1.99 ERA since June 10. Cincinnati grabbed the lead with three runs in the fourth inning. De La Cruz, who had three hits, drove an RBI triple over Bellinger's head in center field to tie it at 1 before scoring the go-ahead run on Spencer Steer's sacrifice fly. Lux followed with a solo shot to right off starter Allan Winans (0-1), called up from the minors to make his Yankees debut. Advertisement De La Cruz added an RBI single with the bases loaded in the fifth and a homer to right leading off the eighth. Judge hit his fourth home run in 11 games against the Reds with a towering drive into the upper deck in left field in the first off starter Nick Lodolo. Scott Barlow (3-0), the second of five Cincinnati pitchers, threw 1 2/3 scoreless innings for the win. New York went 0 for 12 with runners in scoring position. Key moment Jasson Domínguez singled to start the Yankees fifth, but then Cincinnati right fielder Jake Fraley made a leaping grab against the wall to rob Paul Goldschmidt of a hit. The lacing is connected to a midfoot band that wraps around the entire foot, ensuring support and comfort throughout the ride. The shoes also feature a new Nike reactx midsole through the heel coupled with an Air Zoom unit at the front of the foot. The shoes have also been heralded as one of the more comfortable running shoes on the market, so it comes as no surprise that Nike sends boxes of pairs to each NFL team for players to rock the gear. Now, fans will have a chance to buy a custom colorway in accordance with their favorite team. Nike Pegasus 41 'NFL' This won't be Nike's first time coloring the Pegasus 41 in all 32 NFL team schemes as they released a similar pack ahead of the 2024 season. The main difference this time around will be the addition of each team's logo along the back heel of the shoe. The uppers will be done in each team's primary color, contrasted with their secondary colors, and finished on a white midsole on the Pegasus 41.
