Former Fox News Favorite Declares Network a 'Propaganda Hose' Aimed at Manipulating 'Elderly' Viewers
Former Fox News host Tucker Carlson is accusing the network he once called home of operating as a "propaganda hose" aimed at manipulating its older viewers into supporting war, including the latest U.S. entanglement in Iran .
Carlson, once one of Fox News' most influential and highest-rated personalities, has increasingly broken from the Trump-aligned right in recent months. His departure from the network in 2023 marked the beginning of a shift, with Carlson growing more outspoken against U.S. foreign policy, particularly military involvement in the Middle East.
Appearing on Steve Bannon's War Room podcast, Carlson condemned Fox News and its primetime personalities, most notably Sean Hannity, for cheerleading Israeli strikes on Iran and pushing for U.S. military involvement.
He called out what he described as the network's deliberate effort to stir pro-war sentiment among "elderly" viewers.
"What they are doing is what they always do, which is just turning up the propaganda hose to full blast and just trying to knock elderly Fox viewers off their feet and make them subject to more wars," Carlson said.
He specifically named Fox News owner Rupert Murdoch and pro-Israel donors Miriam Adelson and Ike Perlmutter as part of what he described as a "warmonger" faction pushing Trump toward deeper conflict.
"Who are the warmongers? They would include anyone who's calling Donald Trump today to demand air strikes and other direct US military involvement in a war with Iran. On that list: Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, Rupert Murdoch, Ike Perlmutter and Miriam Adelson. At some point they will all have to answer for this, but you should know their names now," he added.
Carlson also released a sharply worded newsletter titled "This Could Be the Final Newsletter Before All-Out War," in which he accused Trump of complicity and warned of looming catastrophe.
"Despite being complicit in the act of war," Carlson wrote, "the president hopes last night's events will help his ongoing nuclear negotiations with Iran."
When asked about Carlson's blistering critique, Trump dismissed him with a shrug: "I don't know what Tucker Carlson is saying. Let him go get a television network and say it so that people listen."

In one incident, Mandela said his passport was confiscated and withheld for six hours, only returned on the condition that he board a bus and leave for Gaza, which he said he will not do. "We can no longer sit idle while babies, children and women in particular are butchered, massacred on a daily basis through a genocide, ethnic cleansing, war crimes and crimes against humanity," he continued, adding that the Israeli regime must be held accountable "through the rightful institutions like the ICJ and ICC." Mandela noted that many marchers have received support from their embassies, which have pressured Egyptian authorities to release detained nationals at Cairo International Airport. However, he emphasized that governments must do more to support the cause. "We must send a clear and strong message that many governments have failed the Palestinian people and the Palestinians are now looking to civil society," Mandela stated. "Everyone that is here is not coming from government structures but are in touch and bound by humanity. These are civil society organizations that have come together to say that they cannot sit silent anymore and watch babies on a daily basis being massacred." Thousands of trucks filled with aid are waiting to be distributed by participants in the Global March to Gaza to starving Palestinians across the Gaza Strip. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), however, continue blocking any aid from entering. Meanwhile, the U.S.-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation aid sites have turned into daily massacres for Palestinian people. Since the four sites, run by U.S. and IDF soldiers, opened on May 26, nearly 400 Palestinians have been killed and thousands have been injured while trying to obtain food and aid for their families. Americans Lose Out on Over a Billion Dollars Thanks to Trump's Pardons: House Democrats Report
A report by Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee found that President Donald Trump's executive pardons have come with a price tag estimated to be over $1.3 billion. In just the first five months of his second term, Trump has issued nearly 1,600 pardons, including a blanket pardon for most January 6 defendants and clemency for a number of wealthy or politically connected individuals. The report, reviewed by Axios, accuses Trump of abusing the clemency power to reward allies and loyalists at the expense of victims and taxpayers who will no longer benefit from fines, forfeitures and restitution. The biggest financial hit came from Trump's pardon of Trevor Milton, the founder of now-defunct electric truck company Nikola, erasing nearly $680 million in court-ordered restitution. Other notable clemency recipients include Ross Ulbricht, the convicted founder of the Silk Road marketplace, who was spared $184 million in forfeitures, and Jason Galanis, a fraudster whose $84 million restitution order was also wiped out. The costliest category in the report was restitution, which totaled more than $1 billion. In addition, Trump's pardons erased $183 million in forfeitures and $132 million in fines. Democrats warned that Trump's actions are undermining the Crime Victims Fund, a federal resource for supporting crime victims, which is funded in part by restitution payments. "Whoever said crime doesn't pay clearly never lived under a Trump presidency," the report states. Trump has even floated the idea of compensating January 6 defendants, some of whom have pending lawsuits against the Department of Justice seeking damages. The White House dismissed the findings. Spokesperson Harrison Fields mocked the report, calling it the product of "summer interns" and accusing Democrats of hypocrisy over President Biden's pardon of his son, Hunter.
