The Foundation announced on Wednesday morning via their website that Canoville is in hospital.
A statement read: 'It is with a heavy heart that I share an update on the health of our founder, Paul Canoville.
'Paul is currently in hospital due to a serious decline in his physical health, which has also taken a significant toll on his mental well-being.
'As someone who has overcome extraordinary challenges throughout his life, Paul remains determined - but he now needs time, care, and space to recover.

'His recent absence from school visits and, most heartbreakingly, the Show Racism the Red Card reception at Downing Street earlier this week, has been deeply upsetting for him.
'We also want to prepare friends and supporters that Paul is very unlikely to attend the premiere of the new documentary about his life tomorrow evening (Thursday) at Regent Street Cinema - something he had been immensely looking forward to.
'Out of respect for his need to rest and heal, we kindly ask that people refrain from contacting Paul directly at this time.
'Any messages of support can be shared as comments on our social posts and we will ensure Paul sees these once well enough. Paul's regular public appearances are an important part of his income.

'While he takes this time away, we're asking for donations to help ease that burden and continue the Foundation's impactful work: https://www.justgiving.com/campaign/pcfkm
'Thank you for your compassion, your understanding, and your continued support.'

England hopeful over Ecclestone despite new injury
England said Sophie Ecclestone's omission from the series against West Indies was to aid her recovery from a knee injury [Getty Images] England are hopeful Sophie Ecclestone will be fit for this summer's series against India despite the spinner suffering a new injury. Ecclestone was withdrawn from Lancashire's T20 defeat by Hampshire on Tuesday because of a quad problem. Advertisement The severity of the injury will be assessed in the coming days. The 26-year-old had already been left out of the ongoing series against West Indies as part of her recovery from a knee injury. England insisted Ecclestone's omission from the squad, the first chosen by head coach Charlotte Edwards, was not related to the controversy that overshadowed an awful Ashes tour of Australia earlier this year. During England's 16-0 series defeat Ecclestone refused to take part in a TV interview conducted by Alex Hartley, following the former spinner's criticism of England's fitness. Ecclestone, England's leading bowler, actually made her return for Lancashire at Warwickshire on the day she was left out by England. Advertisement She had previously spent almost two months on the sidelines after playing for UP Warriorz in the Women's Premier League. Ecclestone has since played two one-dayers and six T20s for Lancashire, including two in a day in a starring role for the Red Rose as they won the Twenty20 Cup last month. In Ecclestone's absence, England have outclassed West Indies across the 20-over and 50-over formats. Fellow left-arm spinner Linsey Smith marked her ODI debut with a five-wicket haul in Derby last week. The series against a powerful India side, including five T20s and three ODIs, begins on 28 June.

Family affair: Chalobah brothers set to join exclusive England group
Trevoh Chalobah is hoping to make his England debut this evening when the Three Lions take on Andorra in World Cup qualification. Chalobah has been called up to the senior side for the first time, following an impressive season with Crystal Palace and Chelsea. The defender helped Chelsea to Europa Conference League success last season and is now pushing for an international debut. Should he feature, the Chalobah family will become just the third to have two brothers play for England since the Second World War. A total of 21 brothers have represented England, but just two post-war. Advertisement Jack and Bobby Charlton each featured as part of England's 1966 World Cup winning team. Centre-back Jack won 35 caps for the Three Lions, scoring six times. His younger brother, Bobby, won the Ballon d'Or after England's World Cup success. He retired with the then records as England's most capped player and highest goalscorer, having scored 49 times in 106 games for England. The second set of brothers to feature for England post-war are Phil and Gary Neville. Combined, the defensive duo won 144 caps for England. Chalobah will be hoping his international career lasts longer than elder brother Nathaniel, who featured for just six minutes on his sole appearance for England in 2018. Brighton confident of beating Chelsea to €47m teenager
Brighton are confident of beating Chelsea to the signing of Olympiacos teenager Charalampos Kostoulas. The Seagulls are in advanced talks with the Greek side over a transfer package worth around €47m (£39.6m). Advertisement Chelsea have had a bid rejected for the 18-year-old and could return to challenge Brighton, though Sky Germany are claiming that the South Coast side are very confident of getting a deal done. Kostoulas formed part of the Olympiacos team that upset the odds to win the UEFA Youth League in 2023/24, scoring five times, and has since broken into the senior side. He became the club's youngest-ever professional debutant when appearing for the B Team in January 2023. This season, Kostoulas scored seven times in 22 Greek Super League appearances as Olympiacos won a domestic double. He has been tracked by several of Europe's elite clubs, alongside teammate Christos Mouzakitis, but Brighton are closing in on his signature.
