Dubai, UAE, May, 2025: du, the leading telecom and digital services provider, has officially set a new Guinness World Record for the 'longest promotional livestream.' This was accomplished in collaboration with TikTok Live MENA as part of du's innovative campaign to rigorously test and showcase the strength of its unbreakable network. du hosted a special event where a representative from Guinness World Records presented the official certification.
The campaign centered around a single smartphone passed from one individual to another whilst maintaining an uninterrupted 48-hour livestream, free from drops, lag, or any disruptions, showcasing the unmatched reliability of du's network. The achievement is a result of continuous investment by du since the launch of 5G technology, deploying the latest infrastructure with du 5G network achieving 99% coverage of the UAE population, expanding and enhancing this infrastructure beyond 5G as du now advancing to deliver 5G-Advanced capabilities across the UAE

The record-breaking initiative took place from April 11-13, featuring a seamless handoff between UAE-based content creators. The phone served as the portal through which viewers globally could engage with a host of exhilarating experiences, ranging from kayaking in Abu Dhabi to ziplining in Ras Al Khaimah. The thrilling journey also included serene moments such as hot air balloon rides, showcasing the versatility of experiences the UAE has to offer.

Co-hosted by the Zayed Sustainability Prize—the UAE's flagship sustainability initiative—and the Sino-International Entrepreneurs Federation (SIEF), the Forum underscored the country's growing global influence in driving climate-forward cooperation and innovation. Held from May 21 to May 24, the Forum was themed 'Accelerating Impact: China's Innovation for Global Sustainability' and brought together a powerful coalition of global leaders, entrepreneurs, and innovators. Through keynotes, TEDx-style talks, fireside chats, and panel discussions, participants explored how capital, technology, and community leadership can scale real-world solutions to global challenges. Echoing the Zayed Sustainability Prize's social media message, the sessions emphasized collaboration, youth-led climate action, and inclusive growth—core principles that define the UAE's sustainability vision. From advancing solutions in health, food, energy, water, education, and climate action, the Forum demonstrated how strategic investment and global partnerships—hallmarks of the UAE's approach—can accelerate meaningful change. Speaking at the event, H.E. Sheikh Saoud Al Mualla, Consul-General of the UAE in Hong Kong, highlighted the breadth of UAE-China cooperation: 'UAE-China collaboration extends far beyond trade, including energy, logistics, financial services, agriculture, tourism, and space. In particular, the UAE and China enjoy a robust partnership in sustainable development. From landmark solar plants to wind energy demonstration projects, Chinese partnership has been integral to the UAE's remarkable clean energy transition.' Bad Boys For Life directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah are helming the film from a script by Mohamed El-Dabbah. The pic is based on a story by the head of Saudi Arabia's General Entertainment Authority Turki Al-Sheikh and the Big Time team. The cast also includes Menna Shalaby, Tara Emad, Hannah El Zahed, Sayed Ragab, Saudi Arabian actor Nasser Al Qasabi, Hala Sedki, and more. The pic will be the first film to be shot in Big Time Al-Husn Studios, one of MENA region's biggest film and television production facilities, with additional shooting at Riyadh Boulevard. Riyadh will serve as a stand-in for multiple international cities, including Mumbai and Shanghai. The film is considered to be the largest Arab film production to date with a budget exceeding $40 million. The $40M project is being hailed as a gamechanger for Saudi Arabia as it continues its drive to become the Middle East and North Africa's biggest film and TV hub. It is produced by Jeddah-based entertainment company Sela, with Ivan Atkinson (The Gentlemen, Wrath of Man) lead producing. "The Seven Dogs" marks the fourth collaboration between Abdel Aziz and Ahmed Ezz after blockbuster films "Welad Rizk 3: El Qadya" and "Kira & El Gin" and season 2 of the critically acclaimed TV series 'El Ekhteyar ll'. In the film, Ezz plays Interpol officer Khalid Al-Azzazi, who apprehends Ghali Abu Dawood (Aziz), a high-ranking member of the clandestine global crime syndicate known as 7 Dogs. A year later, the organization resurfaces, trafficking a dangerous new drug—Pink Lady—across the Middle East. With time running out, Khalid reluctantly join forces with Ghali, the only person with intimate knowledge of the syndicate's operations. Their uneasy alliance propels them on a high-stakes mission across multiple global cities as they strive to dismantle the organization and prevent the drug from flooding Arab streets. Jun 05, 2025 Select 334 comes courtesy of Jean-Philippe Kaya, aka KAYA, a Los Angeles-based DJ and producer hailing from Bordeaux, France. Dubbed a Future Talent of 2025 by the Pete Tong DJ Academy in Ibiza, KAYA is known for fusing various musical influences from his Cameroonian and Congolese roots, as well at classical piano compositions, with contemporary electronic music. His music has traversed dancefloors at some of the world's biggest festivals, including Glastonbury, Coachella, and EDC Las Vegas.
