Yemen-Houthi ballistic missile strikes central Israel
ALBAWABA- A hypersonic ballistic missile launched from Yemen struck central Israel, triggering widespread air raid sirens across Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and over 200 towns and cities.
The Israeli Home Front Command confirmed sirens sounding in the greater Tel Aviv area, southern Tel Aviv, and Jerusalem as Israeli air defense systems deployed interceptor missiles in response.
Israeli media reported that shrapnel from an intercepted Yemeni missile fell in the city of Holon, south of Tel Aviv. According to the Walla news website, the interception also caused material damage in Beit Shemesh, west of Jerusalem.
Israeli police confirmed receiving reports of damage in Beit Shemesh and stated that explosives experts are working to secure the area, urging residents to stay away for safety.
Explosions were reported in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and the coastal areas south of Tel Aviv following the missile launch.

The Houthis have intensified their missile strikes in response to Israel's renewed military operations in Gaza and ongoing U.S. airstrikes on Yemen.
Houthis have also warned of expanding their military operations to target additional sites, including Ben Gurion Airport, raising security concerns for flights.
