What's Happening Bhool Chuk Maaf led by Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi had released in theatres on May 23, 2025. The film is now set for an OTT premiere on June 6, 2025 on Prime Video. Delays Faced By The Film Ahead of its theatrical release, Bhool Chuk Maaf faced a few hurdles due to the ongoing India-Pakistan conflict. Maddock Films, the production house behind the movie, decided to release it on Prime Video on May 16, 2025. However, this decision was met with resistance by multiplex chain PVR Inox, which filed a lawsuit against Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films for breaching their agreement. The legal tussle reportedly resulted in a Rs 60-crore loss and forced the film to wrap up its theatrical run in just two weeks — a big shift from the industry norm of an eight-week window. Eventually, the makers agreed to go ahead with a theatrical release. Dinesh Vijan's Reaction Reacting to the situation, Dinesh Vijan, whose production house Maddock Films has bankrolled the film, issued a statement. He said, "As our surroundings begin to heal, we are especially grateful to offer a theatrical experience for a film that speaks from the heart. In these times, when family means everything, we urge audiences to head to theatres with their loved ones, share a laugh, reflect on life, and enjoy a story that, we hope, brings joy.' 'We are also incredibly thankful to our exhibitors as partners for their continued support, flexibility, and commitment to theatrical storytelling. The release environment has changed for the better, and we're proud to collaborate once again with them for our film's release," the producer added. Plot Bhool Chuk Maaf revolves around a small-town man, Ranjan, who lands a government job to marry his lady love, Titili. Apart from the lead cast, the family entertainer also features Sanjay Mishra, Seema Pahwa, and Raghubir Yadav in pivotal roles. In A Nutshell Bhool Chuk Maaf has Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi in the lead, and the storyline revolves around an endless time loop that they get stuck in. The film had released in theatres on May 23, 2025 and is now headed for its OTT premiere on Prime Video on June 6, 2025.

It took a decent start but then tanked on its first Monday. According to Sacnilk, a trade website, it earned Rs 77 lakh in India on June 2. The figure is nearly 69% lower than the Rs 2.35 crore it earned on Sunday (June 1). Here is the day-wise breakdown: Day 1: Rs 1.6 crore Day 2: Rs 2.39 crore Day 3: Rs 2.35 crore Day 4: Rs 77 lakh. The Marvel Movie, which was released on a Thursday, earned Rs 1.18 crore on its first Monday. It went on to collect Rs 22 crore (approx) in its full run. The film had an edge over the new Karate Kid movie because of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's popularity in India. Moreover, its star Florence Pugh also enjoys a following among fans because of her work in Oppenheimer. About Thunderbolt Legends Karate Kid Legends is a martial arts drama written by Rob Lieber. The movie revolves around a Kung Fu prodigy who tries to upgrade his skills for an illustrious competition. Karate Kid Legends stars Jackie Chan, Ralph Macchio, and Ben Wang. Maalik teaser: Rajkummar Rao is no longer the sweet Bittu, but a gangster with a penchant for killing to rise in life

The sweet boy-next-door we saw in films like Bareilly Ki Barfi, Ludo, Stree, and more has now turned into a bloodthirsty gangster, who has no qualms about shedding blood to rise in life. That's the best way to describe Rajkummar Rao's character in his upcoming film Maalik. The makers unveiled the film's teaser on Tuesday, which shows Rajkummar playing the role of a full-fledged gangster for the first time. The teaser takes us to 1988's Allahabad city and begins with Rajkummar Rao describing how there are two types of people — one who give their blood and sweat to build a life, and the others who shed blood and sweat to snatch the opportunity from others. Rajkummar proudly declares himself to be the latter. The gory visuals show Rajkummar waking up with a gun and walking amid a crowd with the gun on his shoulder. He is then seen ruthlessly killing a man as the crowd watches, and tying his body to a pole before lighting firecrackers tied around it. Rajkummar then delivers the line, 'So what if I wasn't born a Maalik, I can surely become one.' The following visuals show Rajkummar walking with his gang, firing at a house and at the police. Maalik is directed by Pulkit. It is bankrolled by Kumar Taurani and Jay Shewakramani, and also stars Prosenjit Chatterjee, Manushi Chhillar, and Medha Shankr in pivotal roles. The film's music is composed by Sachin Sanghvi and Jigar Saraiya, with lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya. It is set to release on July 11. Rajkummar Rao has seen moderate success at the box office over the past few years, except for Stree 2, which was a major success, minting Rs 857 crore worldwide. His other film Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video minted Rs 58 crore at the box office against the reported budget of Rs 30 crore. The actor's last release was Bhool Chuk Maaf, which has been performing well at the box office, collecting Rs 60 crore within 12 days of release. However, the film will face competition from upcoming releases like the multi-starrer Housefull 5 and Kamal Haasan's Thug Life, which are set to release on June 6 and June 5, respectively.
