Ahly target winning all games at Club World Cup: Moroccan defender Dari
Ahly will open their campaign in the first match of FIFA's newly expanded 32-team tournament against the US outfit Inter Miami in Miami on Sunday.
'We are preparing strongly for the World Cup confrontations with full concentration. We arrived early in the USA and adapted quickly to the atmosphere,' Dari told the club's official website late on Monday.
'We train well and work hard to win all games. The opening match will be a strong one, and we should be at full concentration to win,' he added.
Ahly have been drawn in Group A alongside Palmeiras (Brazil), FC Porto (Portugal), and Inter Miami (USA).
Dari said that Ahly is focusing on all the group games, adding that every match has its own circumstances, stressing that winning the opening game will be a big boost ahead of next games.
'Ahly players are determined to achieve good results. We hope to deliver outstanding performance to please the fans,' he concluded.
Amid their current training camp in Miami, Ahly lost 5-3 on penalties to Mexican side Pachuca after a 1-1 draw in a friendly match held at Inter Miami's Stadium on Sunday.

Manchester City concluded a $150 million spending spree ahead of the Club World Cup by announcing the signing of Netherlands midfielder Tijjani Reijnders from AC Milan on Wednesday. Breakthrough season Reijnders has just been named as the best midfielder in Serie A after a breakthrough campaign in which he scored 15 goals and added five assists across all competitions for Milan, which endured a dismal season and failed to qualify for Europe. He joined Milan from AZ Alkmaar in 2023 for a fee of around 20 million euros (then $22.4 million) and recently signed a contract extension through to June 2030. That's the length of his contract at City, too. City is releasing De Bruyne to end his 10-year stint at the club and now has Reijnders and Cherki to link up with Rodri in an enticing midfield set-up. Reijnders said he was 'ecstatic' to be joining City. 'It is also a dream come true to play in the Premier League,' he said. 'This league has seen many of the best Dutch players perform through the years and it's an inspiration to follow in their footsteps.' City director of football Hugo Viana said Reijnders — who specializes in being a ball-carrying midfielder — will add 'extra energy, composure and creativity to our midfield.' City announced the transfer of Reijnders a day after the special transfer window closed but appears to have signed him in time for him to play in the new-look, 32-team Club World Cup, which starts on Saturday. Rana Atef On Tuesday, the Saudi national team lost 2-1 to their Australian counterpart in the final round of the third stage in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. Tennis: Wimbledon champion Krejcikova suffers shock Queen's exit - Omni sports
Barbora Krejcikova's preparations for her Wimbledon title defence suffered a major setback as the Czech crashed to a shock defeat against Rebecca Sramkova at Queen's Club on Tuesday. Krejcikova beat Italy's Jasmine Paolini in three sets in last year's Wimbledon final to win her second Grand Slam crown. But the 29-year-old's hopes of repeating that memorable triumph were rocked by her 6-4, 6-3 loss to Slovakia's Sramkova in the opening round of the Wimbledon warm-up event in London. The defeat extended a disappointing run for Krejcikova since her victory at the All England Club. She lost in the second round of the recent French Open and missed January's Australian Open with a back injury that kept her sidelined until May. Krejcikova, the world number 17, was also beaten in the US Open second round in the last Grand Slam of 2024. World number 41 Sramkova will face former US Open champion Emma Raducanu in the second round at Queen's. Raducanu, who famously won in New York as an 18-year-old qualifier in 2021, made a vibrant start to her grass-court singles season, routing Spain's Cristina Bucsa 6-1, 6-2 on Tuesday. The British star revealed before Queen's that she is still troubled by back spasms that have plagued her for much of a frustrating 2025 campaign. But Raducanu looked in fine fettle as she brushed aside Bucsa to the delight of the British fans in the Andy Murray Arena. "I must say I was quite locked in today," the world number 37 said. "I'm very pleased with my performance. "I was a little bit nervous at the beginning. It's my first time playing on this court at Queen's and the support is incredible. "I just want to stay here playing as many matches as I possibly can." In the first women's action at Queen's since 1973 -- the tournament has been solely an ATP men's event for 52 years -- Raducanu was joined in the second round by two of her compatriots. Katie Boulter won 7-6 (7/4), 1-6, 6-4 against Australian qualifier Ajla Tomljanovic. Heather Watson beat world number 27 Yulia Putintseva 6-4, 6-3 to book a clash with former Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina.
