BROOKLYN, N.Y., June 17, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The Piano Pod, a biweekly podcast and YouTube show founded by pianist and educator Yukimi Song, announces its inaugural live concert event, The Piano Pod Live in Concert, scheduled for October 2025 at Stiefel Hall in collaboration with Mannes Prep at The New School.

Established in 2020, The Piano Pod has grown into a cross-industry platform for exploring the evolving role of classical musicians in today's society. With over 300,000 downloads, nearly 3,000 YouTube subscribers, and recognition as a finalist for Best Video Podcast at the Quill Podcast Awards, the show has attracted a global audience spanning music, education, and cultural sectors. It has featured more than 100 influential guests, including Grammy winners and Steinway artists, as well as neuroscientists and advocates, engaging in dialogue around identity, inclusion, pedagogy, and resilience.

The upcoming live event represents a key expansion of the platform, designed to bring its mission into a public, interactive setting. The concert will feature an all-female lineup of distinguished performers, entrepreneurs, and educators: Dr. Jee-Hoon Krska, Eleonor Bindman, Dr. Nnenna Ogwo, and Donna Weng Friedman, each performing a solo piano work, followed by a live interview and audience Q&A. Yukimi Song will open the program with a piece by Dr. Maria Thompson Corley, featured in the Season 5 finale.

US filmmaker Tyler Perry faces explosive lawsuit as actor alleges sexual assault
US film magnate Tyler Perry has been accused of sexual harassment and assault and sued for $260 million by actor Derek Dixon. Dixon is part of Perry's TV show The Oval and filed the suit on 13 June. The actor accused Perry of creating 'a coercive, sexually exploitative dynamic,' according to People. According to the suit, Perry initially promised Dixon a 'career advancement and creative opportunities, such as producing his pilot and casting him in his show, only to subject him to escalating sexual harassment, assault and battery, and professional retaliation when Mr Dixon did not reciprocate Mr Perry's unwanted advances.' After meeting Perry in 2019, Dixon got a small role in one of his projects. In 2020, Perry invited Dixon to his Atlanta home, according to TMZ. This is where Perry allegedly tried to make a sexual advance, which Dixon rejected; however, Perry still remained interested. Dixon also claimed Perry sent him sexually suggestive texts and made more physical advances, too, including groping his butt and grabbing him by the throat. Dixon finally filed a complaint with the Equal Employment and Opportunity Commission in June 2024 and left The Oval due to the alleged sexual harassment. Perry's attorney, Matthew Boyd, told US media: 'This is an individual who got close to Tyler Perry for what now appears to be nothing more than setting up a scam. But Tyler will not be shaken down, and we are confident these fabricated claims of harassment will fail.'

"A lot of my teammates thought it was like some random graphic I found on the internet, but it was actually my dog," she continued. "But yeah, they were cute and you know, it kind of makes it fun when they're a little more personal to you and it makes it fun to get to put them on and go out and play in them." There has been no official confirmation as to whether or not Nike will release "The Bellas" to the public. Be that as it may, there's no denying that what the fans are looking forward to is Clark's first signature shoe, which has not had any substantial updates of late, either.
