Popular kids' clothing pulled from Spotlight stores over safety fears
A popular children's hoodie has been urgently recalled from Spotlight stores over safety fears.
The grey Happy Easter White Rabbit hoodie, which was available for purchase across Spotlight stores and online, has been pulled from the shelves by the ACCC as it did not have the required fire hazard label.
'There is a risk of serious burn injuries if exposed to a heat or flame source,' the ACCC statement read.
'Consumers may not be aware of this risk.'
The grey hoodies were sold in sizes 6-8 years and available to buy at Spotlight both online or in-store in Victoria, NSW, Queensland, WA, Tasmania and SA between February 8 to April 14 2025.
Customers have been urged to stop using the hoodie immediately and keep out of reach of children.
Those who purchased the item can return it to a Spotlight store for a refund, even if there is no receipt.

Urgent recalls of children's light-up clogs and Crocs Jibbitz Charms over button battery fears
Two popular children's products are being urgently recalled over fears they could lead to choking or even death. Best & Less children's light-up clogs have been recalled after it was discovered they may not comply with mandatory standards for products containing button batteries, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission said. 'The light component can separate from the shoe and liberate small parts, including the button battery,' the ACCC said. '(There is a) risk of choking, severe internal burn injuries or death to young children if they gain access to the button/coin batteries and swallow or place them inside their body.' The ACCC warned severe or fatal injuries could happen in two hours or less, and noted an incident had already occurred with the shoes. The product was available for sale nationally and online from September 1, 2024 through to May 22, 2025, had a risk of Consumers are told to stop using the product immediately and to keep out of reach of children, and to return them to any Best & Less store for a refund. A recall has also been issued for Crocs LED Jibbitz Charms, which were available between June 22, 2022 until April 19, 2024 and sold nationally, international and online. The item was recalled for not complying with the mandatory information standards for products containing button batteries. The ACCC said consumers may be unaware that the product contains button batteries. 'Stop using the product immediately and keep it out of reach of children,' they said. 'Dispose of the product in accordance with local requirements for disposal of batteries.'

A baby bottle warmer has been recalled over fears the popular product sold at retailers across the country could overheat and catch fire. The Cherub Baby Anywhere Warmer Pro, sold at Baby Bunting, Myer Marketplace Online and Cherub's own website, has been recalled. The ACCC issued the warning for the product after it was revealed there were issues with heating. According to the ACCC there is a 'risk of serious injury, death or property damage if the bottle warmer overheats and catches fire. An incident has occurred.' Consumers are being urged to stop using the bottle immediately. In a statement Cherub Baby said they were recalling their Anywhere Warmer Pro in the colour white and consumers should look for the product label on the bottle warmer and see if it is a 'CHWRBOTTLEPRO'. Cherub Baby warned customers to stop using the product and return the bottle free of charge. 'Immediately return the warmer directly to us at no cost to you,' Cherub Baby recall page said. 'Simply fill out the recall form and we will provide a prepaid shipping label for return. In exchange, once the warmer has been received by us, we will provide you with a replacement unit.'
