Andre Onana impresses as striker with childhood friends in Cameroon as Man Utd fans call for him to replace Hojlund
MANCHESTER UNITED goalkeeper Andre Onana shocked locals when he rocked up for a kickabout with childhood friends in his home country.
But instead of guarding the net, the flamboyant keeper played out on pitch.

Onana, wearing a black vest and shorts, looked nothing like a struggling goalkeeper as he danced across the pitch with boots coated in red dust but a wide smile as ever.
He is currently back in Cameroon for a break after a rollercoaster season where he was heavily criticised for his countless errors, including in last month's Europa League final defeat to Tottenham.
There has been interest from AS Monaco, but Onana has turned down all offers and has no intention of leaving Ruben Amorim 's side.
His future is still up in the air but SunSport understands the former Inter Milan man is determined to succeed at the club.
United are set to make changes in the goalkeeping department and Aston Villa's Emiliano Martinez wants to join the Old Trafford Club.
But the current plan is to keep faith in Onana and bring in someone who can put serious pressure on the 29-year-old.
Red Devils boss Amorim is expected to spend his available budget on other areas, notably in reshaping the forward line.
United declined to comment when asked about the video of Onana in Cameroon.
The clip of the goalkeeper was shared on social media this week, with one person joking that he was "better than Rasmus Hojlund."
While another quipped: "Even they don't want him in goal!"

Man Utd legend Wayne Rooney lands new job working alongside fellow Premier League icon The former Manchester United striker first went into management with US side DC United in 2020. He has since taken the reins at Derby County and Birmingham, before his ill-fated tenure in Devon. Rooney recently turned out for England at the annual charity game Soccer Aid. Wayne Rooney's record-breaking career WAYNE Rooney took the football world by storm when he made his debut for 2002 with Everton. He quickly became the club's youngest-ever goalscorer aged 16 years and 342 days and was named the BBC's Young Sports Personality of the Year. The striker joined Manchester United in 2004 and spent 13 years at Old Trafford. He went on to make 559 appearances for the Red Devils and scored 253 goals. To this day he is still the club's all-time leading goalscorer. Following his spell with United, Rooney returned to Everton for a season. He also spent one-season stints with D.C. United and Derby County at the end of his career. As well as his impressive club career, Rooney is also England's second-highest goalscorer with 53 goals in 120 appearances, behind only Harry Kane. After hanging up his boots, the England icon turned to a career in management. He took charge of Derby County in 2020 and managed to just about save the club from relegation from the Championship at the end of his first season. However, with Derby handed a 21-point deduction the following campaign, he was unable to keep them up again and subsequently left. Then came a 15-month spell in charge of MLS side D.C. United. He failed to impress during his time in Washington and parted ways with the club at the end of the 2023 regular season. Rooney was controversially handed the Birmingham job in October 2023, replacing John Eustace with the club doing well and sixth in the Championship table. However, in 15 games he suffered nine defeats and managed just two wins. He was sacked in January 2024 with Birmingham down in 20th. The club were relegated to League One at the end of the campaign. He returned to management in May with Plymouth Argyle but managed just five wins in 25 games. The United legend now finds himself out of work once again. And he refused to be drawn on his immediate future, suggesting punditry was currently his focus. Rooney said: "Obviously just doing some TV work at the minute, so that's what I'm doing. "I'm enjoying it. So, that's where I'll be."

Sky Sports News revealed that the add-ons amount to around £5m if they are all met, taking the total value of the deal to a possible £15m. Negotiations are ongoing for the 31-year-old but this transfer is expected to get over the line in the next couple of days. Arsenal made the move after contract extension talks with Thomas Partey began to stall. Mike Jones27 June 2025 08:02 Arsenal in talks with Eze's representatives Arsenal are in talks with the representatives of Crystal Palace winger Eberechi Eze reports The Sun. They claim that Gunners chief Andrea Beta met with Eze's people to discuss the details of a potential transfer. Eze is on the market for around £68m and Arsenal would need to battle Tottenham to do a deal. Their main priority is still an out-and-out striker with an attacking winger seen as a bonus. If any move for Eze materialises that would reduce the funds available to purchase a centre forward with Arsenal still negotiating a price for RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko. Mike Jones27 June 2025 07:59
