This strategic growth resulted in a 5.4% increase in passenger numbers, reaching a total of 6.2 million passengers in 2024 compared to 5.9 million in 2023. The airline also strengthened its fleet with the addition of two new A321NEO aircraft, bringing the total fleet size to 42. Building on its commitment to connectivity, Gulf Air forged 23 (new or renewed) partnership agreements with leading airlines. She confirmed that current indicators reflect rapid progress toward achieving the strategy's goals, including increasing the tourism sector's contribution to GDP and reinforcing Bahrain's status as a sustainable tourism destination in the region. This is being accomplished by expanding entertainment, hospitality, and retail options, offering integrated travel and accommodation packages, and advancing a sustainable tourism ecosystem.

Gulf Air: Passenger Disturbance on Flight GF213 to Kuwait Handled in Coordination with Relevant Authorities
Gulf Air, the national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, affirms that flight GF213 from the Kingdom of Bahrain to the State of Kuwait on 8 June 2025 experienced a disturbance caused by one of the passengers, prompting the activation of precautionary and security measures in accordance with set procedures. The airline added that the situation was handled in full coordination with the relevant authorities in the State of Kuwait, where the passenger was detained by airport police upon the aircraft's arrival at Kuwait International Airport. All passengers were safely disembarked. Gulf Air regrets any inconvenience caused to its passengers and affirms that the safety and well-being of its passengers and crew members remain its top priority.
